The skin has always to be clean. A good makeup can easily be applied on a clean skin. Weeks before the wedding, you should drink a lot of water. If you have an oily skin, make sure you avoid dour skin treatments; they can easily increase the oil amount in your skin. You should experiment with makeup to find the look that fits to you. Also, if you are used to have facials, get your last one on the last week before wedding. Even if you do not use lip balm, a bridal makeup requires it.
Keep your lipstick, facial powder and mascara in your purse (in case you need to freshen up). For a perfect eye shape, use a small brush to blend a medium tone color from just below the brow arch downwards in a semi-circle motion. Use light peach eye shadow as eyelid base. Avoid using Retin A and Alpha Hydroxy creams prior to the wedding day. Exfoliate your skin with a manual exfoliator the day before your wedding. Choose lip liner that blends easily with lipstick for that soft glossy look that looks good in photographs too. Don't ever pluck or wax brows the day of the wedding. There's always the chance overdoing it and you could develop red rashes. Always brush your teeth before hand to ensure clean, fresh teeth.
Blush is possibly one of the most overlooked beauty products, however, it is probably one of the most important. It makes brides look healthier and more alive. Powder blush is the most popular type of blush, and the easiest to apply on humid days. If you choose to wear a powder blush, layer the color on slightly heavier than usual and blend carefully. Focus on the apples of the cheeks for a light rosy hue.
Eyebrows
To further enhance your eyes on your wedding day, consider filling in your eyebrows with a soft powder to complete your look. A neat and tidy eyebrow will only enhance any eye makeup you choose to use.
Natural Beauty: Keep it Simple
If you rarely wear makeup then go for a subtle enhancement by playing up your best feature. If your eye and lip palettes are usually neutral color tones, try adding a slightly brighter or more intense shadow or eye liner to your base shade to make your eyes "pop". Or use a different technique than usual. For example, if you normally apply a lighter shade on your lids and a deeper tone in the crease, try the deeper tone on the lid instead with the lighter shade just under the brow bone.
Cheeks and Lips
Choose a color that suits your skin tone and goes with your dress and enhance your natural glow with blusher. Prepare your lips by applying lip balm. Exfoliate and moisturize lips regularly prior to the wedding to ensure soft and smooth lips. Line your lips with a lip liner. Don’t sway from your natural shape. Just make your natural shape more visible. Fill in with an appropriate shade of lipstick. Once again, make sure your lipstick in transfer-resistant and long stay. Invest in a good quality lipstick that gives you all this and keeps your lips moisturized.
