Finish each Sentance
May 09, 2006 | 11:27AM

Finish each sentence....erase my answers and put your own in...

My ex is.... clueless enough said

Maybe I should....get to cleaning my house

I love.... my life

I don't understand.... why food has to taste soooo good

I lost my.... mind, we will just leave it at that :)

People would say that I'm.... definatly cooking on only half a burner

Sex is.... great, but should never be used as a 'reward' for a well-behaving lover.

Love is.... something everyone deserves to find

Somewhere, someone is...... probably drinking a beer without me

I will always.... love my family and food....

Forever is.... not as far away as you think.

I never want to.... file bankruptcy

I think the current President is.....not the smartest, but the best option for the moment

I Woke up this morning..... with an evil plan to take over the world!

Life is full of..... laughs and tears but mostly laughs

My past is/was....  The best! I had a great time growing up

I get annoyed when.... people who cant drive that well in the first place are talking on their phones and swerving ALL over the freeway.

I wish..... my house was self cleaning

My CAT is... dead?

Tomorrow I'm going to.... keep trying to invent a self-cleaning house

I have low tolerance for people who.... have to have the exact same experiences in life as you but their story about it has to be 10 times better

If I had a million dollars I would...... invest it

Sometimes I want to.....toilet paper someones house

Back From Vacation
Apr 26, 2006 | 8:27PM

We had a GREAT time Smiley  My head is still spinning from all the traveling. LOL Nothing better then being able to travel in a motorhome, be able to stretch out, go potty when you need to, have a cold snack on hand and even a bed to nappy on. (Even if the rig only moves 50MPH top speed downhill LOL) I wasn't able to find a digi cam that I was satisfied with enough to pay large amounts of money for, so we just used the camera on the cell phone & my mothers 35mm cam. I will post more pics as I get them.

We arrived at Calico Ghost Town (Yermo, CA) Thursday about 4PM and set up camp.  We just spent the day bumming around the camp grounds and visited with some friends of my hubby's family that came as well.  They have a 10 year old granddaughter they brought with them who was just a delight and loved my girls who soon became her shadow and she kept them entertained, took them on walks, etc etc etc. It was just great to have a nanny for 2 days haha!

Friday we headed up to the town and did the tour. Train ride of the canyon, a small tour of the mine, street shoot outs, panning for gold and shopping!! They built this house there as just an attraction, it's built on a slant but everything in there makes it look upright when you walk in, but the gravity pull makes your head all wacky feeling.  I can't wait for those pictures.

Saturday early morning we broke camp left my nanny behind Smiley and headed to Ventura to see the ocean and have the best fish n' chips ever. It was raining and really windy so we only enjoyed the beach about 10 minutes worth, but it was GREAT to get to the hotel with hot showers bed and TV!!! So we chatted and decided that we could stay until about 2PM on Sunday and still make it home by 10-11PM that night.  It was a blast, we woke up to the sun shining and just a beautiful day.  The girls had a great time running in and out of the water, building real sand castles picking up seashells.

Great trip, even though we did'nt end up getting home until 2:10AM Monday morning I hope my girls never forget it.  I can't wait to do it again next year, except I'm demanding that the entire weekend will be spent on the beach no place else!!! HA HA HA

Vacation
Apr 18, 2006 | 9:02AM

To celebrate our 5th year wedding anniversary, (April 20th) my husband and I decided we are going to take the girls to see the ocean.  We are leaving Wednesday evening (the 19th) and will be back on Wednesday the 26th.  We've been talking about it for 3 months now and my girls just can't fathom that its tomorrow that we leave! When they wake up Thursday morning we will be on the road in the in-laws motorhome.

First stop will be Calico Ghost town where we are camping til Saturday, then Saturday afternoon we will be sunning (well trying too, looks like they will be getting rain) on the beaches of Ventura California and hopefully able to watch the baby seals, building sand castles & picking up sea shells. Then towards home on Tuesday.

I'm supposed to be getting a new digi cam for our anniversary/mother's day gift (since my other one just decided it was done working) so I will be posting lots of vacation pics when I get back.

See everyone in a week!

Enjoy

The Drug Problem in Today's Youth
Apr 07, 2006 | 10:53AM

The Drug Problem in Today's Youth

The other day, someone at a store in our town read that a methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining county and he asked me a rhetorical question, ''Why didn't we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?''

I replied: "I had a drug problem when I was young":

I was drug to church on Sunday morning.

I was drug to church for weddings and funerals.

I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.

I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults.

I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie, brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of others especially my elders, or if I didn't put forth my best effort in everything that was asked of me.

I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth washed out with soap if I uttered a profane word.

I was drug out to pull weeds in mom's garden and flower beds and cockleburs out of dad's fields.

I was drug to the homes of family, friends, and neighbors to help out some poor soul who had no one to mow the yard, repair the clothesline, or chop some firewood; and, if my mother had ever known that I took a single dime as a tip for this kindness, she would have drug me back to the woodshed.

Those drugs are still in my veins; and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, and think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin; and, if today's children had this kind of drug problem, America would be a better place.

School Days, School Days
Apr 03, 2006 | 7:00PM

Was high school a positive or a negative experience for you?

I truely loved high school.  I probably didn't realize that I did as much then as I realize it now, but I had a great time, and great friends.  If I had the chance to go back and do it all over again I sure would. I would do it over the exact same, probably wouldn't change a thing. Well... except I probably would join the yearbook my freshman year instead of my Jr year since that would have given me an extra 2 years backing when I became the yearbook editor.

Any of you reading this that are still in high school ENJOY every minute of it.  Make the most of it, and leave with no regrets you will be old & have grown up responsibilities and before you know it you will be thinking WOW my 10 year reunion is next year!!!  Plus... there sure are a lot more years ahead of you in the real world then in your high school days.  I don't regret one thing, so that is not why I wish to go back, just a lot easier when your day ended when homework & chores were done. :)

True Friends
Mar 02, 2006 | 8:16AM

I recieved this cute forward and I liked it alot so I decided to post it here Smiley

A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest. A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself (and doesn't feel even the least bit weird shutting your 'beer drawer' with her foot!)

A simple friend has never seen you cry. A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.

A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names. A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book.

A si mple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party. A real friend comes early to help you cook and stays late to help you clean.

A simple friend hates it when you call after they've gone to bed. A real friend asks you why you took so long to call.

A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems. A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.

A simple friend wonders about your romantic history. A real friend could blackmail you with it.

A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument. A real friend calls you after you had a fight.

A simple friend expects! you to always be there for them. A real friend expects to always be there for you!

A simple friend reads this e-mail and deletes it. A real friend passes it on and sends it back to you!

Pass this on to anyone you care about......if you get it back you have no beginning, no end.

It keeps us together, like our Circle of Friends.

Today I pass this on to you. Pass it on to someone who is a friend to you.....
