Busy Summer
Aug 03, 2007 | 8:17AM
Well, not that I have a lot of Blogging friends that are on Grab, I figured it has been a long time since I last up-dated what was going on in my life..Well, it has turned out to be a very busy summer so far, with very great weather.Boy, I am sure glad we decided to put that new liner in the Pool last fall, I don't think many days have passed that someone hasn't been in that pool this year.Between my daughter giving birth to our Newest Grandson Reagen, to my niece delivering twins on June 2, 2007 weighing in at 8lbs 3oz Carissa and 8lb 1oz Cayman,to our friends daughter delivering a baby boy also a week before our daughter, so we are now Baby Central. We are glad to say that they are all doing fine now and growing with ease.It will be sure hectic next year at this time, when they are all running around after each other.
Now, my second love Maggie(Golden Retriever), will be going threw reconstructive surgery on her back paw in a few weeks, see Maggie loves to play hard and ended up tearing her ligament in her back paw playing Frisbee, and too make sure she doesn't lose the use of that paw they have to go in and do reconstructive work.It is going to be a long recovery period for Maggie with a whole lot of down time, which she is not going to like at all, but then she will be able to run like the wind again, next spring.
Well, my friends, I hope that all is good in your life, and you are all having many beautiful rewards like I am having this year, and be sure to leave your comments for me to read.I enjoy getting feedback from my friends on Grab, even if you are not on my list, just drop me a note and say Hello, always happy to hear from everyone..Take Care and Have a Great Summer..

But to my grab friends I have sent you a Lovely Butterfly to celebrate the Start of a New Season..Take it's Beauty and Enjoy ..

10 Days To Go!!!
Jan 15, 2007 | 8:22AM
Wow, I would of never believed I would be writing a blog about quitting smoking, but here I am doing just that. But then I never would of believed I could quit smoking either, but here I am just 10 days away from a year of Non-smoking. So I guess I am doing this to congradulate myself, and for all those people who believe they can't do it,because if someone would of told me a year ago, that I would be almost a year Smoke -free, I would of laughed at them. But I guess it all boils down to how bad you want to do it.
I had tried on several occasions to quit, and for all different reasons, but I guess this time, it was for all the right reasons, the number 1 reason being ME.
Now I am going to the gym to lose some weight I have put on over the last year, so I guess quitting has made me an all around heathy person now..No Smoking, Going to the Gym, and just feeling 100 % better with myself.
Although, I think I might be one of those bad ex-smokers, because the smell of smoke really bothers me now, and I have to catch myself looking at people who have just thrown a cigerette away and walked in a store beside me, I can't stand that smell, and sometime I say Yuck out loud..Bad Me...
I would never tell someone to quit, because after many years of trying, I have truely come to realize that it is a personal choice, or it will never work for you.But what I am sure and quick to tell all my family and friends who smoke, I have never felt better in all my 46 years, I feel healthier then I have ever felt, I wish that I could of done it sooner, but I truely believe, that it will happen for people, when they need it too.
So!!!!, there you go everyone..I am a 1 year quitter in just 10 short days.It is a time in my life, when I am truely happy and excited about being a QUITTER..
It is proably the hardest thing I have ever done, but the Smartest thing I have done, and I truely believe, that if I have done it, everyone can do it.
So, if you are one that has thought about it, give it a try, it might just be your turn to succeed..Good Luck..Stay Strong..I Did..You can Too..Enjoy the fresh Air..And Write me if you need support..

Happy Holidays
Dec 12, 2006 | 11:54AM
Wow, where has the time gone?I can't believe my last blog was for Halloween. But I guess, it is such a busy time of the year for everyone right now.I am up here in Canada, but we do not have snow yet for the holidays, we had a bit, but it has all since melted away, like Frosty.I sure hope we get some fresh snow for the holidays.
I have just about all my baking done now, as my daughter and I always pick a Sunday at the beginning of December and do the majority of it..I still have those fun little gingerbread people to do for all the kids and then of course I save my favourite for last Mincemeat tarts.YUMMY
As for my shopping, we have cut way back this year, as the true meaning of Christmas has been so lost over the years. We only have one Grandchild right now, but another is on it's way in the New Year,so Christmas now is now centered around them.My husband and I have decided it is better to be able to help out all year round with the needs of those children then making one big expensive day for the year. So, as of this year that is what our plan is going to be.
Well, what ever your plan is to celebrate the Holidays this year, I wish you and your Families all the Happiness and Peace and Joy in The Land..May we pray for the Safe return of all our Soilders, and to watch over them and their Families as we head in to a Fresh New Year.
May all your dreams and wishes come true , and may you keep your Health and Happiness in the New Year as well.
Enjoy the Holidays and please stay Safe..Merry Christmas..All My Grab Friends

Happy Halloween
Oct 31, 2006 | 5:29AM
Wow, halloween use to be my favorite holiday as a child, but it sure has been commercialized since I was a child. The selection of costumes out there now is just finominal. We as children, use to have 2 choices, the first one was wear a sheet over our heads and go as ghost, or my favorite, we got to wear some of our dad's old suits and our Mom would blaken our faces with a burnt cork, of course we always had to have Nozema on under that, so it would wash off easily, throw on an old hat and tie and carry our pillow cases over our sholders like a homeless bum.I guess none of this would be politically correct now a days.
And I guess this is why the stores are filled with all these expensive costumes for the parents to buy for their children, of all their favorite Super Heros or Characters now.
I can remeber knowing which houses we wanted to go to first, because you knew what they handed out, year after year. And back then, you got Candy Apples and homemade fudges and other good stuff. But times were different back then, everyone in the neighborhood grew up together, the Mothers all belonged to the ladies church groups, and everyone looked after each other.
Now, most of the time, most people don't know their neighbors, other then to say Hello in passing, coming and going in our busy life styles.
I am so glad I grew up in the era I did, we had so much fun, and things were less complicated, life was simple.
Well, I have to end this blog, as I am on my way over to take my first grandchild out Trick or Treating now..Someone needs to carry the pillowcase, he is too young...Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween.

Wow,,Where is Fall?
Oct 20, 2006 | 12:23PM
Well, Autumm arrived officially on Sept 21 ,2006, but where is it hiding..Usually it is a wonderful time of the year.A few rainy days with some wind .But not this year, wow, the trees started to change colors, and then bingo bango, everything was gone.We have had nothing but wind, rain and even some snow flurries, it has been dreadful.Fall is usually my favorite time of the year, but if this is any indication of how Winter is going to be, hold on, as I get the feeling it is going to be a long , very cold one here in Canada.
Well, I truely hope that someone out there in Blog land is having a great colorful Fall..As for me, I can only close my eyes and pretend what it must look like this year.Hang Tight...Winter Wind is in the Air.

Friends
Aug 28, 2006 | 10:43AM
Well, here I go again..Pondering..What makes a friend? I am not really sure if anyone can answer this question, or if anyone's definition would be the same.I am just wondering, as over the last few years, we have made changes in our life, some to better our situation, but along the way, you seem to loose some people who you thought were good friends.
I don't know, if it because they think you are trying to get away from them, or if you are just not in the same life pattern as we are, and they feel left out.Well, that was not the means of any of out recent changes that is for sure, we never meant to make anyone feel left out, or less important in out lives, for what ever reason.
The changes we have under took, have been surely for our benifit, but not to undermine any of the people in our lives that we considered friends, but some how we feel, like we are the forgotten ones now,in that circle of friends. But, we are strong people and we will move forward, as we have before. Because as you see, we are both use to this, as we are both Divorced before, and when you divorce, you usually loose friends also, so we have gone through this before and had to make new friends, but it is funny how people around you can't handle change..Personally I enjoy it..Life is but Once around, Enjoy It, and Live It To It's Fullest Potential...

You Can Almost Smell Fall
Aug 16, 2006 | 7:12AM
Well, here we are, only a couple of weeks to go until the kids head back to school...Wow, where did summer go..Well, actually I shouldn't say that, as we have had a very busy and exciting summer, which all started with our daughters Wedding in May.
We have done every thing we had set out to do this summer, but it is always sad to see summer coming to a close...
All the fall fairs are starting up and you can smell them in the air..The bees are very active with all the sweets floating around now.All the fresh fruits ripening on the trees...
I have fresh Tomatoes coming out my ears..But boy are they good..Nothing like a fresh garden tomatoe this time of the year..
And then in a couple of weeks it will be time to get the gardens and yards and Pool already for the long cold Canadian Winter that lies ahead once again..
But with that, more adventures will start, it will be time for my Annual Fall Visit Shopping in the States. Then before you know it, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving and getting all geared up for Christmas before another year gets ready to wrap it self up , once again..
Well, friends and folks..I hope all your summer dreams have been fulfilled. As, the leaves get ready to change color, so do we get ready to adjust to a new season of life..And what it might hold..Take Care..

Summer Fun...
Jul 18, 2006 | 11:06AM
When you live in Canada, unless you enjoy sking or snowboarding, you have to really enjoy summer. It always seems so short. But so far this year, it has been just a wonderful fun-filled summer for me, and this past weekend, has kind of capped it off for me.I live near Sarnia , Ontario, which for those not familiar to Canada is a small border town which borders up with Port Huron, Michigan.Every summer they have a festival called Bayfest, it is usually okay, but this year it was spectacular. On Thursday night we were entertained by Kieth Urban and Saturday night we enjoyed the party girl herself Gretchen Wilson, who just rocked the park out, and then last but certainly not least on Sunday we were treated to the Dynamic Duo of Brooks and Dunn, and boy did they put on a show, even in 100' temperatures people were partying right along. It was the most fun-filled weekend I have had for a very long time. And I sure don't know how the people of Bayfest will top that line-up next year.
Summer is now about half over here in Canada, and for the first time in a long time I am already content with how this summer has shaped up...Hope everyone out there, is having just a wonderful and safe summer holiday this year too.Until another aspect hits me..Enjoy Life to the Fullestand remember to : Dance like no one is watching and sing like no one is listening, But have fun..
