Modern mana
Jun 02, 2009 | 11:59PM

It is strange how God's ways always keep us in awe! After the most brutal 2 years of my life a lot of what God has been doing in my life personally is becoming clear. Plus things that he has been showing me for the last several years make so much sense now!

Currently after being one of many who lost their jobs this past year, he provided me a job that while it won't be my permanent job most definately has been my mana through a rough season of life.

The beautiful thing is that he has truly never left or forsaken me and his hands have held me every step of the way.

I don't know if any of the people are still listening that I was becoming friends with about 3-4 years ago, but if you are I hope this offers encouragement for what ever difficulties you may be facing.

I shortly will be back in a facet of work where I will be functioning as the artist that he has created me to be.

One thing leads to another and every stone laid brings you a step closer to the fortress you were put here to build.

One thing I've learned profoundly through eveything that has happened is that not one single  person has the right to define you or judge you as unworthy. Only God has the right to judge and he does so with perfect holiness!  His judgements are pure and right!

If you keep you eyes on Jesus, he will show you EXACTLY what you PERSONALLY were put here for!

There is only one of you and he loves the you that he made you to be. He knows better than anyone your failures and sin struggles and not one being I know of is more able than he to heal you and help you with all that you face.

He is magnificent, gloriouos, amazing and most of all perfect and holy in all his ways.

I am truly fascinated by him and never cease to have my breath taken away by him.

The truth is that all the things I've gone through has been fuel for the fire so to speak. Why do I say that? Because the writings, paintings and films I aim to make will largely be motivated by all that he has brought me through.

Now it is that I begin the newest part of my journey as he fashions and molds me even further to go to my "Pharoh" and fight for the people God has put on my heart to see set free from their captivity!

In closing I have to say that when you ask him to make you aware of the mana, you will always see it!

Bless you and one more thing>>>

Do you know why he put you here...personally?

Are you happy?
May 05, 2009 | 5:31PM

How simple it is to see
that all the worry in the world
cannot control the future.
How simple it is to see
that we can only be happy now.
And that there will never be a time
when it is not now."

Jobs

It's not really the work you do that defines who you are. It's who you become through your relationship to God and then through him to others that matters most.

It's not how many people ador you either that defines your identity. In fact I think it matters more what we think of others than what others think of us because it is not what someone else thinks of you that ultimately makes you who you are. You are already you! If you try to bend or shape yourself to get others to like you, it will always fail. However, if you truly know yourself and the God that made you and the Savior that saved you, it is then that you are able to love yourself and others the best!

So, having said that I must also add that I have gone three months without work. Some of it because of missed opportunities on my part and the rest just me needing to perservere and keep faith that it will fall into place.

There are so many people that are suffering and it didn't just start happening and it can't be blamed on just one or two presidents either. It's been going on for years.

Ever since the fall we have been out of shape in all areas of our lives, but I believe that God is calling his people to return to their first love...HIM!

We get off track and distracted so easy.

Well, if it's the Savior that defines me and not anyone or anything else...then let him decide, but let the work my hands do be for him and let it be blessed.

I pray this for everyone else as well.

                                          Blessings to all! ~L.

Grace
Feb 10, 2009 | 5:03PM

I'm constantly overwhelmed by God's grace for me!

I was just lead to ezekiel36: 3-8 today. Of course I ended up reading the entire chapter as well I should because the message is well worth reading.

In times of failure or loss, it is so meaningful to surrender yourself to God all over again!

He is right to say it is not because we deserve it that he restores us but because he is holy and that is who he is and his name will not be defiled!

Yet, knowing all there is to know about our broken condition he does not abandon us for there is no hope of restoration or healing apart from his love and mercy and grace for us.

Let his banner over us be love and let our hearts turn with complete surrender to his with a desparation and love for him like we hold for no one and nothing!

He is sooo worthy!

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality
Feb 08, 2009 | 3:13PM

This will be an amazing book I can already tell from the first 2 chapters! It is written by Peter Scazzero a pastor in New York at New Life Fellowship church Elmhurst, N.Y www.newlifefellowship.org .

If you want to hear some awesome sermons or lessons based on the teachings from this book over the next 8 weeks go to www.trinityomaha.com !

Sometimes when you feel like everything you were meant to do is ruined and you are never going to get to where you believe you were meant to be, you find out in a really beautiful way that you are in the right place and at the right time.

God knows what he is doing and he NEVER gives up on us! His love and mercy is never ending.

It takes courage to admit you need to grow, but the fast way to grow...is to admit you need to and begin the journey or continue if you've already been moving in that direction!

After the fire
Feb 02, 2009 | 3:28PM

There's always hope after the fire.

Sometimes the fire comes from darkness.

Sometimes the fire comes from God.

Either way, it changes you...

FOREVER

You sometimes think you're ruined!

But when you regain focus

and your eyes are on the king of kings...

Something beautiful happens!

You begin to realize that as long as your life

is in your maker and saviors hands...

there's always hope!

There is never a moment where things

are far too damaged

for him to mend and put back together

Oh the maker of us all

He knows best

he does it best

and he is the best!

Trust!

Trust first in him and he

yes he....

does the rest!

It is good for brothers and sisters

to live in peace together.

With him in authority....

we can!

we can!

Been awhile
Jan 09, 2009 | 1:59PM

Well, it's been a very very long time since I've been on here.

Life has been rough what with my church having suffered a spiritual attack and my own personal struggles being somewhat brutal.

The Lord is faithful though!

I finally made it to California...but not without many trials being attached to that victory.

Myself and those in my life have all suffered spiritual attacks and suffered loss. Many of us in the middle of confusion and fear started attcking one another.

Healing is one the way though.

My encouragement to others would be this:

Do not give up on your God given dreams and...

if you find yourself in the middle of a church battle for the first time in your life, do not give up and don't run too quickly. God can and will use it for good and he will use you as part of the healing process if you let him!

As for my personal dreams of doing ministry in Hollywood, God is more than able to make a way where there seems to be no way.

I've been getting the funniest feeling that everything that has happened not only will be used to bring glory to God, but that some of the very circumstances that I have faced will be the very circumstances where he gives me a way in and the very ministry that is one my heart to do...will begin to take shape!

Be encouraged no matter what you face because God is still in charge!

Dark lord blue
Dec 27, 2005 | 12:44PM

Sitting alone in the darkness still
I feel his cold touch
that reminds me he's here.
Afraid to turn around,
but wanting to see his face.
I feel him brush against my hand
I jump & look back again.
I now realize my eyes were
always open
I just couldn't see
afraid of what I
was wanting
The air was a chill
& the moon hung so low
I felt I could touch it
with just a little give & go
The stones were cold
& all was a blue
Afraid of what you offer
& somehow
still wanting all of you.
