Along with the old job (from 18 years ago) being dropped back into my lap, I've discovered that my old flame (a customer) from that job is still going there.  He didn't recognize me at first, and I didn't want the assistant manager to know too much, so I just gave him three hints.  With the final hint, he looked at me and smiled, looked at the assistant manager, and back at me, and said he remembers.

While we were seeing each other, we had to sneak around.  One nite the radio station played Tommy James and the Shondells - "I Think We're Alone Now."  Needless to say, this was "our song."  LOL.  I came home from work that nite and played it over and over and over.

Feeling well, so I apologize if I'm missing blogs.  I'm getting as much rest as I can.  I did manage to get myself to sit through orientation, then came home and went to bed.  I got a call from the store manager this evening, and she asked me if I could start training in the store this Tuesday at 3p.  That should work out great.  That'll give me enough time to get better.

So it looks like my last post notifications never did get sent out.  Go Grab!  LOL.  I asked momba if she'd gotten hers and she didn't.  I  just talked about my interview.  Have a great nite, friends.

...and it sounds like I have the job.  The manager said she'll call me tomorrow and let me know when orientation is for sure and how much my pay will be.  It'll be full time and I told her it may take a little while to get back into the routine.  After all, I haven't worked there for almost 18 years.  Wow!  Has it really been that long ago?  Time sure does fly by.

(Apparently no one got gmails that I had blogged Wednesday nite.  You may need to read that so you know what's going on right now.)

I got my application dropped off this morning and guess what?  The lady I ran into at McDonald's appears to be the present manager of the store.  She asked me a few questions (did I quit on good terms and how much would I want for pay - and the good one...i worked graveyard shift for Jerry? - lol).  Then she asked me if I could go in Sunday at 3p for an interview.  I'll keep you posted as this continues.  LOL.

One of my boys came over this morning.  He needed some meds but had no money to cover it.  I went to Wal-Mart with him to buy them for him.  On the way there, we saw someone in their car at the red light eating a burger.  Well, it had been so long since the two of us just went for a hamburger, that it sounded kind of good.  We got to Wal-Mart and when we dropped off the script, they said it would be about 25 - 30 minutes.  Since they have a McDonald's in the store, we headed on over to get that hamburger that we thought sounded good.  As we were leaving, some lady who looked familiar to me came up and asked me if I remember who she is.  Just as I opened my mouth to answer her, she proceeded to ask me if I was the girl who used to work at "Jerry's store."  I told her I am, and she told me that if I'm looking for a job, to grab an application, fill it out, and get it back as soon as possible.  "Jerry's store" is a convenience store called Get N Go here in town.  I used to work the graveyard shift before I got married and moved away.  As a matter of fact, that's how I met my second ex-husband.  We call it "Jerry's store," because Jerry was the manager at the time.  So we grabbed an application, and as I was leaving, one of the girls who works there (who I also know from my past), followed me outside and told me that there may be a position open soon.  Sometime tomorrow I'll get the application in and we'll just see what happens.  It would be kind of cool to have a job drop in my lap.  LOL.  Have a great nite, my friends.
