Wow, 131 days have gone by since my last post. Crazy how much I DON'T use this site anymore.
In fact, this is my first post here in 2008.
Enjoy it---it may be my last, too, LOL.
It's just my cat, for anyone who still ever looks here that might be interested. Do you hear that? Do you hear it papa? It's the sound of........................................................

I feel ill
Dec 10, 2007 | 2:02PM
I made the mistake of poking through the top 10 blogs of the day here today for the first time in about six months. Cutesy little pictures of smiling puppies telling me to have a good day, glittery fairies, and one baby after another with looks of fake "happiness" were plastered as far as the eye can see on 9 of those 10 blogs. The only worthwhile read was a friend of mine, Wilfong, and that was only due to a poignant post remembering the victims of Pearl Harbor, with some graphic yet very cool photographs that were taken during the attack. Religious messages telling me to love god and god will love me were a recurring theme, and as ill as these blogs made me feel, I just had to drudge my way through them all, looking for at least ONE thing that would make the blog a favorite in my book. Sadly---I found nothing. Not like the days when Scooter's Michigan Meanderings, Willow's Whimsy, Taffy's Tales From Wales, and Helly's Journal on Grab would take turns swapping their way through the top 10---our blog parties, our hilarious yet resonant posts on life and happenings in the offline world.....those days are long gone, having been replaced with "Hello", "Good morning", "Good Night".....are those REALLY topics for blogs? Sure, I post junk from time to time, my readers on myspace have gotten used to my surveys and what not-----but I just think there are far better things to say. Once you've seen one glittery baby throwing hearts to a fairy that's petting a puppy wishing you a lovely day, you've seen 'em all! I only wish I had something more to say here myself..........

111 days, 16 hours
Nov 16, 2007 | 6:35AM
That's how long it's been since I've written a blog here. Wow, that's nearly 4 months. Where does the time go? What have we all been doing? Why do we so avoid the place that we used to call home and have such good times with? I kinda miss it---but I know that things will never be the same here. This blog has become obsolete. I wonder what would happen if one of us, just one time, decided to say "come on over and have a party for old time's sake"? Would anyone even know about it and show up?
I'm sure that anyone who knows me knows where I blog at now. You should stop by there, anytime. Say hi. Send me a message. Comment. I love to read everyones opinions to what I have to say, because sometimes, what I have to say doesn't correspond with what a lot of OTHERS have to say. Conversations would be pretty boring if they were all one sided, don't you agree?
Anyway, feel free to say something here, you know, if anyone even reads these here anymore. Otherwise, I mostly blog HERE now. Hope to see some of you there, and now I am leaving with a note of wondering. Will it be ANOTHER 111 days before I blog here again? Only time will tell. :~)

Man VS Woman
Jul 27, 2007 | 2:22PM
What's the best and worst thing about being a man or a woman?
Wow, has it really been over a MONTH since I've blogged here? Guess so! I never even received the auto-sent letter from Lex telling me it's been a while. I guess they've given up n me, LOL.
So, without further delay, I present the time honored answer to this old BID that I scrounged up out of the list. Man, but there were quite a few to choose from! I guess I should get back into the swing of updating this blog more frequently.....
Frankly, this one is pretty easy. Being a man, the best thing? Well, for starters, we don't have to worry about all the extra dainty underthings to buy when we go shopping, I.E. bras, feminine products for "that time of the month", and so on and so forth. Also, never having to be with child? A BIG plus, LOL.
I know this next thing is something petty to complain about, but I will say that MOST of you females are very lucky that you don't have to shave your face and neck daily----I throw out the word MOST with caution, as I know that SOME women out there do have problems with a little scruff, LOL. That being said, you don't have to do it to your FACE every single day, which I believe to be the most sensitive skin on your body. Sure, women will argue that they shave their legs and armpits, but I don't believe this compares to the soft and sensitive areas on your face and neck. Don't believe me? Next time you're in the bath, try running the razor across your cheek or across your neck once---or just do the entire thing and let me know how your face feels. Red, raw, and itchy, no? Try having to do it every single day, LOL.
A bit ago, I mentioned how wonderful it is to not have to worry about being with child and going through the whole childbirth experience, being a man with a man's parts and all. But laides, trust me on this one. Getting kicked in the family jewels is of comparable pain---if only for a short while---it makes you double over with cramping like jolts, makes you sick to your stomach, and you feel like you can't ever move again, LOL. Now, add to that the fact that the ONLY time its ever happened to me, I received a surprise line drive of a baseball right into the package, without the use of any protective gear for my boys....now THAT alone made me turn into a girl, if only for a couple hours, LOL. I dunno how to add the link so anyone can comment, as I'm assuming the comment glitch hasn't been fixed yet. Maybe Helly will grab mail me with the answer! :~)

Lake Michigan, natch
Jun 25, 2007 | 1:45PM
Okay, well, I've been blogging here for well over a year now, probably closer to two at this point! I am constantly talking about Michigan and living really close to Lake Michigan, and blah blah blah, you all know me and you know the drill, lol. Cold snowy winters, hot humid summers, and a big body of water just a couple minutes from my front door that, strangely....has no surf....this one is just for Willow inparticular, as she couldn't imagine such a thing with no surf. Funny aussie bunch.....LOL. Just watch the video....

Video Blog Number 2: Proof that aliens DO exist...errr, I mean that not all cats are evil, LOL
Jun 18, 2007 | 2:33PM
Cross posted from my myspace because I know that not everyone knows I blog there more often than here. This is video proof for my friend Helly that not all cats are evil, and some other random ramblings from yours truly, LOL. Sit back and have a laugh!

The champ for a few days anyway
Jun 11, 2007 | 4:55PM
I TOLD Rinky that I was after her, and I DID it! Mwah ha ha! I gotta enjoy my moment of shining stardom while I can, because I have NEVER had a number 1 ALL TIME score on any game before. I've often times come close, but I am soon booted down the ladder, and then I lose interest. Smells the same way our chase did on Rocket's Red Glare last summer, doesn't it Rinky, LOL? Now, if only Wills could get on the board too, it'd be like old times!

Margarator, give me your number
May 30, 2007 | 1:41PM
Found this interesting product at my local Wal*mart store recently, and I found myself thinking, who better to have a blast with this than my old friends on Grab, hehe. What's your favorite flavor?
I'll take mine raspberry, (as shared with my friend Jaimie at the restaurant last week, LOL)!

Show me your chimis!
May 23, 2007 | 2:45PM
I dined out with a friend of mine recently, and I was amused to no end by this section of the menu:

Now first of all, note the line that says "Show off the chimis" in the upper right corner. Now, look at the chimis. They are censored! LOL---ah, if only I could write to the wonderful owners of Hacienda and let them know how disappointed I was that I didn't get to see the stone boobies while I was dining out tonight!

Mushroom madness
May 21, 2007 | 11:56AM
Last week, I had to put a sign on an empty display of mushrooms that were on sale, because we sold out of them much more quickly than we thought we would. Despite the fact that I had posted this sign:

out on the sales floor, I must've had at least half a dozen people ask me if there were any more portabella mushrooms. Hello!? Do you not know how to read? By the time the 6th guy had asked me, I got a little short with him. "Excuse me sir, are there any more mushrooms in the back?"
"Hmm, let me go check. Yup, we're STILL all out of them." I have to talk to people like that every single day, because unless you explain things to customers like they are 2 years old, they just don't understand. I hope you don't act like that when you go grocery shopping, LOL. Otherwise, be prepared for the sarcasm from the HIGHLY stressed, HIGHLY overworked and severely UNDERpaid clerks!

Happy Mother's Day
May 13, 2007 | 2:08PM
Most years, my mom is happy with a traditional potted plant for mothers day, but my friend Julie suggested strawberries this year. I thought it was a neat idea, and here is the finished result that my mom loved AND can eat off of in a few short weeks!
And here's a video for all the moms out there who know the absolute joys of raising boys, LOL. (I posted this once before for humor value, but today it is much more fitting!) Happy Mother's Day, yay!

View from the outside
May 12, 2007 | 2:08PM

Here's the view of where I work at from where I park at 5:30 in the morning as I'm going in to work. The first door on the right is to get to the Starbucks, and you'd laugh at how many people wait outside for that first fix of coffee right at 6 a.m., like they are physically incapable of making their own coffee at home! The same was true when I worked at Mcdonald's too. There should be a green sidewalk leading up to the doors for the employees. The Green Mile, hehe, get it? ; )
