Sherry's Birthday Blog
Oct 21, 2006 | 3:17AM
Happy Birthday to one of the most important people in my life! Woohoo it's Sherry's Birthday! Let's celebrate w/ a couple of tourneys, and a whole bunch of fun. Some fun stuff about the year she was born is listed below...I didn't know they had music and movies back then? LMAO I am not going to start a huge thing about how old she is. like she did to me or anything. Unless of course someone can't do the match and needs a hint.
Happy Birthday to someone that's made a huge impact in my life. I've tried three times to put in a blog what Sherry means to me, but it never makes it to my blog because I just can't type her out in a neat little paragraph. Lots of what I'd say about her would only mean anything to her and I and the other stuff I'd have to kill everyone if I told ya so I'll just say that she's truely one of two people in my life that I never go anywhere without. She lives here with me lol that's what its like, she's a room mate who lives in our computer room. I bet that's where she stashes me too when she finally crashes at night....in there next to piglet.

WATER TIGER Horoscope Feb 8, 1902 to Jan 28, 1903 Feb 5, 1962 to Jan 24, 1963
Tiger people are sympathetic, kind, emotional, and sensitive. At movies, they can cry their eyes out! Despite their kindness, they can be extremely short-tempered. The rage of Tigers is terrible to behold but it also gives them the adrenaline needed for the sublimest of bravery. The Tiger is also a deep thinker and can make the most astonishing intellectual connections, with great mental agility. On the negative side, they tend to be suspicious and a bit self-centered, OK selfish, and indecisive. Above everything, however, the Tiger stands as a supreme emblem of protection over human life, admirable always.
Soup and Oolong Tea are among the keys to good health.
|
|
|
| Water Tigers do not go gently into the night. Full of intelligence bordering on genius, they imagine a beautiful world and know how to create it. Never liking to be alone, the gregarious Tigers surround themselves with loyal friends who lend their undying support. With such support, they can't help but prosper. A mercurial nature sometimes makes them antsy, impatient, and quarrelsome over little things. They do react very quickly, but also get over any ill feeling just as quickly. They are generally fair, humane, and quite reasonable in their dealings with people. They absolutely excel in the business world. Love for the Water Tiger is like a restless rogue, flitting about like a butterfly. You see, these Tigers are gypsies, always on the lookout for something better down the road, fickle to the core. Smart potential mates can catch them, however, and once this happens, Water Tigers are capable of experiencing the normal highs and lows of love. |

Can K9's Be Mental?
May 20, 2006 | 1:22PM
Like a split personality? Look at this 45 second video of a OxF5 dog that has a problem w/ something in his head...maybe it's just ear mites, but no I think it's a lot wierder than that. He even tries to get away at one point, by crawling up the arm of the couch with his bone. And just look at his happy, happy face when there seems to be no threat.
LOL don't worry it won't disturb anyone, but it is strange. õ

My Favorite Song Lyric
Dec 12, 2005 | 4:15PM
Lot's of times we've heard, or said, "I wish I knew then what I know now" Okay sounds good, always has, but why? Why is it that we want to be so wise in our youth? Why don't we want to stay oblivious?
The lyrics that come to mind when choosing 'my favorite' are just one line, and have always stayed with me. If the truth be known I'd have to do a little research to find out what the song was titled, and won't do so because I don't remember the song being that big of a deal...although now while I type this, and think more about the song, I think I remember another line in the lyrics, that is also something we've all heard many times: "Every rose has it's thorn" And hey here's another line: "Every cowboy sings a sad sad song"
Surprising now that I would remember a lyric from 'Poison' because it's not like they turned out to be exceptional individuals, or that I REALLY live or believe in my favorite lyrics...they've just stuck with me.
My favorite song lyric ever is: "I wish I didn't know now; what I didn't know then"
And here's what it means to me: They don't mean anything I just think how much easier life would be if we could all go through it as a youth...no real worries, responsiblities, or knowledge of the less-happy things in life. Carefree is what that line wishes for.

Back In Time
Nov 03, 2005 | 1:48AM
I 've thought about going back in time before, and always think about the 'clothes' I'd be wearing lmao...
But seriously I'd like to go back to the 50's because it was way before the womens lib activist started marching around with their flippen signs demanding equal rights. The way I look at that whole mess is:
~It shouldn't even count for me I was a tot!
~What the hell is wrong with 'bearfoot and pregnant'?
~When parents raised their kids in this country they didn't have to use metal detectors at HIGH SCHOOLS!
~It'd be really nice if families could get by on one income, but since that whole mess it's hard for families to get by w/ two incomes.
~What's more is, in order for women to get equal pay in this country they gotta get an education so they can compete....(still today), and if I'm not mistaken the women marching up and down the streets back in the 70's didn't have educations! They were stay-at-home-moms, for crying out loud.
Okay, okay I know my view has a lot of holes in it, and I'm sure I can be taken down fairly easily, but getting back to basics is a huge idea that no one ever thinks of anymore.

'Someone' Needs to Take Out the Garbage
Oct 22, 2005 | 2:07PM
Because I don't wanna! LMAO Ron is gone hunting until Tuesday, and my garbage is full. What am I supposed to do? I don't even know where he puts it! (kidding....I can take out the garbage)
So I was thinking "Cool I can play and play, and not worry about him waking up pyzt that I'm still up, and I don't gotta get off my computer to race around my house for 20 minutes making it look like I've done something (anything) right before he gets home, and I don't gotta worry about going in the kitchen and making his dinner, or 'tucking him in' at night.
Ron Hunting (last year):
 Yeah He's HOT!
BUT YAWN! Hasn't really been all I cracked it up to be. I've been to bed early every night, and my house is clean. So what the hell. Wanna come over we'll have a party?? lolololol. Okay I guess I'll just miss him till Tuesday. Murphy is my man till then!
Murphy:
 Yeah He's CUTE!

Sherry2 (or Sherry3) LOL
Oct 19, 2005 | 11:06AM
Sherry (Sherry2 / Sherry3) is a member here at grab...I met her on the boards after she offered genealogy help to whoever wanted some. Anyway I said "me me me oh please help me!"
We were connected at the hip...(I mean messenger LOL) from that day on! She's been an awesome friend, and a blast to play with. I've shared with her, told her stuff I never planned on telling anyone just because it comes out so freely, and visa versa. We've LOL'd together (omg lol so much) and got into trouble (mischief) tried to figure out grab's karma system, but never did lol, genealogy'd for hours looking for my mothers natural birth parents, shared tons and tons of pictures, that was cool it was like sitting on the couch w/ her going through family albums, and so much more.
Sherry has two sons, and a daughter. Ashely (Trippy) is the youngest (19), and has taken her incredible talent with her to college! She is an inspiring artist, and can paint or sketch whatever she feels like. She does faces, or scenery; which if I'm not mistaken that's not the case usually. Artist's are partial to one or the other (faces/scenery) most of the time.
She's been painting/drawing since she was a baby, and good at it (worthy of selling) since before she was 10. Anyway she left home and headed for Sheridan College, and Sherry being the (awesome) mom that she is, insisted that Ash take the only computer with her, so she wouldn't be without. But that meant Sherry wouldn't be online anymore. It was really hard to see her go...I was in tears that night, and even now thinking about it puts a lump in my throat.
She's popped in several times since then, but we keep missing eachother, and the last time I was right here even (playing that stooooopid crazy coins lmao), so that was a big bummer.
So finally today she IM'd me, and I was here to see it! Infact she's still online right now, checking her emails and stuff. I gave her a big (((((((HUG)))))))) and told her how much I miss her. She's sending me some pictures of a couple of Ashley's paintings, so I can show them off...she really is a talented and beautiful girl.
Awwwe she had to go, and in a hurry too. Sheesh we used to spend entire days together too...oh well I guess real life has to happen no matter who we are. Couldn't even wait till I posted this humph. She'll see it next time.
That brings up the point of this blog entery...REAL LIFE!
Let those who don't understand how ppl can become such good friends 'online' take note: Sherry is one of the best friends I'll ever have. So many things can get in the way of real life realationships, things that can't touch an online relationship. We've shared more together than if we had met in the physical sense, by far. Spent probably 95% more time together than if real life too, and that's another thing that fed our friendship...so much time. I've spent maybe about 3 hours with my 'best friend' in the past month, and she lives 20 minutes away...Go Figure. Honesty with your feelings is so much easier, which totally builds trust. You can tell when someone is being real with you...because all the little fluck ups that you catch when someone isn't 'so real' don't happen, and believe me they happen a lot if you pay attention.
Ayway this is the longest blog already, that's why I call my blog "Blah I Mean Blog"
Ashley painted this And this when when she was 15: she was 17/18:

Letter to a Friend
Oct 14, 2005 | 8:51AM
I wrote this to my friend that I think is having some friendship issues, and thought I'd share it with all my friends.
Yeah a best friend can be better than a sister or brother, but ppl change, and life happens, so lots of times it dosn't last forever. Infact the closer a friend is the more you love them, and the easier it is to feel hatred toward them. There is a VERY fine line between love and hate, and I don't believe you can truely hate someone that you havn't loved. I also can't say that I've ever ever hated anyone, but lots of times I felt like I did, and that's only because of pain. Also, just like marrage, friendships are capable of recovery, as long as nobody 'quits'. Relationships are always a job for both ppl involved, and the better the relationship the bigger the job.
It's funny that the bible says the only reward in life is LOVE, but if we never loved anyone all of our lives we would never experience heartache, or loss, so it's a little bit of a catch 22 kind of reward don't you think?
I hope everything is alright. If not things will get better with time.
Your friend *cough cough* Ronelle

Copyrights Don't Mean A Thing?
Oct 11, 2005 | 5:40PM
OMG there are ppl editing movies, and selling them to the public, and they think it's ok!
They're making R, PG-13, and PG, rated movies into movies that they consider to be Rated G. Of course even then that would be 'there' interpretation of what Rated G is... There's several different editing companies online who claim to be completely legit since they are purchasing a new DVD eachtime they edit one. Then they ship both DVD's to there customer. I say BULL. They should be shut down. I noticed that Family Flix finally shut down because they can't compete with the Hollywood Lawyers, and have probably drained their resources.
Copyright:
The legal right granted to an author, composer, playwright, publisher, or distributor to exclusive publication, production, sale, or distribution of a literary, musical, dramatic, or artistic work.
Thats like taking someones painting, and adding your own touch!
Or messing up your awesome haircut, and go around town telling ppl who cut it!
Or coloring bathing suits on all the centerfolds and selling the magazine LMAO
...come on give me a break
If someone puts their name on a piece of work no matter what it is, they want to walk away satisfied that it's the way they like. They don't expect someone else to edit it and play with it, and cut scenes or language from it!!!!
If it's not good enough for your family then DON'T BUY IT. It's that simple.

To Deploy or NOT to Deploy
Oct 09, 2005 | 2:11AM
Job?
Holy what a long story, but I had a hell-of-an offer, I'm just too skeered to take it!
Construction Inspection in the Gulf Coast Region (they can't say exactly where until 24 to 48 hours before you leave) $6000 a month (plus 280/week for food, plane tickets, rental car, and boarding) I'd be there for 90 day intervolts, come home for 4 days every 30 days, and 12 hour MINIMUM days 7 days a week! (that's like working the whole time I usually play on grab sheeesh)
*cough cough*
"Where would i be staying?" "We dont know, could be a motel, could be a cruise ship, could be a tent"
....pahleeeze. There's gonna have to be a lock between me and the rest of the world first.
1st of all, motels are booked (if they're even open) already with refugees, the cruise ships are evidently sitting in the gulf empty, and even if they DO get that cruise ship thing worked out.... would I have a rental car AND a rental boat?
I'm talking to another firm that wants to deploy me for just 2 weeks, at a time, and they pay better, but 2 weeks wont be tons of money...but I think it'd be easier to commit to. They have a lot more answers too; not just "We dont know". lol
Anyway the story goes on!
I had myself in evey predicament imaginable while I considered signing the first contract, and just telling a couple of my wild imaginative stories to my dad and b/f made them both want throw up lol!
~ I was murdered ~ (headlines on the news): Country Bumpkin Dork Girl from the Pacific Northwest is Dead Tonight.... ~ Beaten ~ Robbed (that's they guy that killed me...wasn't too happy with the bank roll) ~ Oh! Malaria ~ and there was (of course) snakes and gaters, and snakes and gaters...
...so like I was saying
*cough cough*
I could go on and on too, with some of the more basic senarios that my wee little brain was coming up with, but this would turn into a flippen Mini-Series about every dumb chick in every scarey movie doing all the dumb things, one right after another.
So needless to say I've turned down the first (90 day "we don't know where you'll be sleeping") job, and I'm a little more informed now before I decide on the second job. Informed by both my Mini-Series-Mentality and the poor guy that deals with me on the phone and through emails lmaoooo.
