Fridge Insight
May 05, 2006 | 3:04PM

Family pictures, ABC magnets, your child's artwork, that speeding ticket you got rushing to your hair appointment...?  What's on the outside of your fridge?

My refrigerator is covered in a little bit of everything. I have tons of family photos and artwork from my little sisters, Jordan and Madison. Including a poster size Thanksgiving hand turkey from last year which takes up one whole side. I also have cards and invitations to weddings and parties on the front. I have blood drive magnets from the last time I gave blood along with other magnets I have picked up from all over the place. My favorite is my "proud to be a republican" elephant magent. I also have picture magnets of my dog and friends. I have letters from my grandparents on the front and notes from my Mom. Anything that I have that I do not want to throw away somehow ends up on the fridge.  But hey what else are you going to do with space like that? A blank fridge door = boring!

Looks or Brains?
Apr 23, 2006 | 5:26PM

It's the age old question: which is more important, to look good or to be smart? Some people seem to have it easy because of the way they look (you know who you are!) but some people get by just fine on their natural smarts and brainpower. Which one are you? Which one would you like to be? Why? Discuss!

Without a doubt...brains are more important. You can be the most attractive person in the world but if you are an idiot and don't have a good personality...it just doesn't matter.  I have met lots of great looking guys that once you speak to them and figure out that they are not so smart, shallow or conceited, you completely are not even attracted by their looks anymore. It's amazing how it can change so fast and drastically. The only people who can override someone's personality or I.Q when they look good, are those people who are looking for the wrong thing in another person. Smiley

Any OTHER Job in the World
Mar 24, 2006 | 6:21AM

If you could have any other job in the world, besides the one you already have, what would you do?

If I could have any other job in the world I would choose to be a writer. To be able to take my time and relax and just write. Maybe children's books or adult fiction. Just to have that freedom to be able to sit back and just concentrate on something like that. It's something I would like to pursue in the future if I ever get the chance.

Missing Someone
Mar 13, 2006 | 6:15PM

Who do you sorely miss?

 I truly miss my papa.

Why, where are they?

He died when I was sixteen. I miss him everday.  But I think of him all the time and I know that some day...

I'm gonna walk with my grand daddy
And he'll match me step for step
And I'll tell him how I missed him
Every minute since he left
Then I'll hug his neck

Naughty or Nice
Mar 05, 2006 | 7:16AM

Would you make any changes if you found out that there is, in fact, a heaven and a hell?

Well I know in my heart that there is a heaven and a hell. As a christian I have no doubts about that. But even if there was not, I think the most satisfying thing a person can do is simply try to be the best person they can be. When you try to be a good person and to do what is right in life, you recieve a self satisfaction inside that rewards you before heaven. You know you have done well and you can be at peace about the rest.

Hola! Bonjour! Ciao!
Jan 25, 2006 | 3:42PM

What language, other than the one you speak now, would you like to be fluent in?

After travelling to Italy I would have say Italian would be the first language that I would be interested in being fluent in. I took it for two years but I still cannot say much!Smiley I think it is such as beautiful language. And a beautiful country as well. If I could choose a second language I would have to choose Hindi. I travlled in India a few summers ago and I loved the culture. The language would probably quite complicated for me to learn but wouldn't it be great to just wake up and be able to speak and understand individuals from half way around the world. To be honest I would be happy to learn to be fluent in any other language!

Seven Things You'll Do in the Next 24 Hours
Nov 04, 2005 | 9:24AM

Here are seven things I'll do in the next 24 hours:

1.Go to the Library...need new books...I think I am going to re-read "The Chronicles of Narnia" before the new movie comes out in December. I have not read them since I was little.

2. Go to the Doctor...I have an appointment to get a referral to a neurologist and to set up an MRI from problems I am having from a car wreck I got into in April. Not my fault by the way...No fun!

3.  Pick up a package...and buy stamps

4. Work on a paper for Grad School...it is a library management case study

5.Make Dinner for John and I... I think it will be fried chicken and a pot of white beans simmered all day with garlic and onions and then some homemade cornbread

6.SLEEP

7.Get up and go to work so that lucky people can spend their Saturday coming and getting pampered at the Day Spa

What's the best Hallowween costume you ever wore?
Oct 31, 2005 | 4:03PM

I would have to say the best Halloween costume I ever wore was when I was a fifties girl when I was about thirteen. My grandmother made me a handmade poodle skirt. It was blue with a white poodle on a pink leash. It was perfect. I wore a white cardigan, white tennis shoes and a pink scarf in my hair. I think I would have to say that was my favorite costume of all time. Everything matched perfectly. I also remember being a care bear one year when I was about five.  I was also Barbie, a cat, an angel and Wilma from the Flintstones. This year my sisters are going as a Barbie Princess and a flight attendant. I am staying home and watching scary movies and giving out candy. No trick or treaters yet though. I did dress Zoe up (my dog)...he is a pumpkin. He has little leaves that go on his legs and then a pumpkin

top on his head. He's not cooperating with the keeping it on though. But isn't he awful cute?

Hopefully I will get some trick or treaters. I live in an apartment complex and last year I waited all night and only got one trick or treater late at night...so I gave the poor kid all my candy. Hopefully this year I will get at least a few trick or treaters!

                                             Happy Halloween Everyone!!

It is now 7:54 and the official Trick or Treater count is...... (drum roll).... six teenagers with no costumes and plastic bags!  Oh well..Smiley
