Hi all!  Happy New Year.  I just wanted to stop in and say hi.  I hope each of you are doing well. This is the first time I've been on the 'puter for a while as it has been hateful lately...lol.  I've also not sat down long enough to think.  Things have been c-r-a-z-y, but I haven't forgotten my friends (even though it may feel that way to you all.) 

To update you all about my bariatric sugery, I've lost around 150 pounds.  It has been a lot of work.  (Some people think that after one has bari surgery, the weight just falls off.  That is definately not the case, but it has been very worth it.)  I credit your and my families' prayers for even getting the surgery and for the success.  Thank you once again for being true friends.  It doesn't happen very often that one gets good friends, but it happens less often that we have real friends.

Pam and I had a great Christmas.  My sisters came up for North Carolina (my brother-in-law was unable to make it due to his parent's health).  My uncle came from Wisconsin.  We all had a good time and enjoyed each other's company.  Pam and I also had a good Christmas with her family.  (Thankfully they all live close by, so we are able to see them more often.)

Anywho, may all the best be yours this year.  You mean a lot to me.  God bless.

Hello all.  Hope that each of you are doing well.  Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and sentiments. 

I am finally out of the hospital.  (I had bariatric surgery and had to go back to the hospital two additional times.)  I'm still thankful that I've had the surgery, but it has definately been an uphill battle for Pam and I.  I'm a bit nervous b/c my arm got severly infiltrated by the port that was in my arm.  It was huge!  All of the liquid hasn't drained out of my arm yet.  My incision (at  the top) looks a little weird too.  However I'm happy to say that I've lost 26 pounds so far.  (On Friday I get weighed again, so hopefully I've lost more.)  I also got a new walker that I can sit down on, therefore I don't have to use my wheelchair when I am out of the house!!  Wooohooo!!

I am waaaayyy behind on everything here on Grab and on Facebook.  I just basically wanted to check in and say things are looking up.

I wanted to stop by and update you all on everything.

First off...thanks so much for always being here for me.  I appreciate you all.

Tonnie is still in the hospital.  I believe the blood infection has cleared up.  Now she is fighting MRSA (skin MRSA NOT lung MRSA.)  Her wound that had the MRSA in it is slowly healing.  She's mainly in the hospital to take her antibiotics per IV.   Bless her heart, she's really had to fight through so much  She'll be in the hospital for a month this coming Friday.  Tonnie greatly appreciates all of your thoughts and prayers. 

I'm really going through a positive transition in my life.  Tomorrow I go in for bariatric surgery.  I think this is going to make a very positive change in my life, so I'm looking forward to it...although I'm nervous too.  I'm having a Vertical Banded Gastric Bypass or VBGB.  Its the more major surgery and its going to be open.  I should be home in three to four days.  I'll ask Pam to make a post about how it all went. 

Hi everyone!  It has been quite a long time since I have blogged, but I'm blogging for a good reason.  Tonnie (tonnie2tone) really needs our prayers.  (You may have read this in either ChattyKathy or kagen's blog, but in case you don't read their blogs, I wanted to ask for your help.  Plus I promised Tonnie I would write for your help. 

Tonnie has a blood infection and the only antibiotic that can help her is penicillian which she is allergic to.  Her doctors were giving Tonnie a little bit of penicillian a bit at a time.  The good news is she hasn't (thus far) had an adverse reaction to it.  Today they are giving her larger doses of penicillian.  She could still have a reaction to it (even up to two weeks later.  The reaction could be a  very bad rash or something more extreme.)  Tonnie's doctor said last night that she may be able to actually remove penicillian from her list of allergies!!!!   I really believe this is due to the prayers that have already been said for her.  God has already been working in this situation, but more prayers definately help more.  Thank you for your time, your thoughts and your prayers.

Hi All! Just wanted to drop by and say that why I haven't been on is Pam and I moved so everything was down  and the computers were broke. Pam's fell under Best Buys lemon policy so we are learning the new computer. My computer was just trashed so we are down to one so bear with us.

Also just wanted to let everyone know that Tonnie is back in the hospital and probably will be until November 16th. She had an infection at the site of her port and it had to be taken out. As of now it doesn't look like they will be putting it back in. So please keep her in your prayers.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Tonnie2Tone is back in the hospital and needs everyone's prayers. She has an infection but the doctors do not know where yet so they are running test. We talked with her tonight and will keep everyone updated.

Hello everyone.  I received a phone call from Tonnie today.  She's very upset, understandably so.  Her best friend, Jayme (sp?), has been diagnosed with an unoperable brain tumor.  She's going to undergo  chemo for this.  Jayme has three children and is a fighter.  If you will, please pray for her and her family.  Everyone is shocked and extremely upset.  Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Hello again, dear friends.  I reread my blog from the other day, and I'm worried that it sounded wrong.  I wasn't trying to replace my Grab friends, I just needed to get away from the glitches before I threw my computer out of the window...lol.  If I said it wrong, please forgive me.

Also, did your text size get smaller on g-mails, blogs, etc.?  Mine is so small I can barely read it.  I wondered if it just happened here or if others have seen it.
