John Denver
(Dec 31, 1943 - Oct 12, 1997)
On October 12, 1997, Denver was killed when the Long-EZ aircraft he was piloting crashed just off the coast of California at Pacific Grove, shortly after taking off from the Monterey Peninsula Airport.

Denver apparently lost control of the aircraft while attempting to manipulate the fuel selector handle after running out of fuel in one tank. Witnesses stated that the plane made a sudden pitch-down plunge into the water, leading to speculation that, in reaching around to the rear, Denver bumped or kicked the side-stick control ... There was no trace of alcohol or any other drug in Denver's body at autopsy, however. As the wreck badly disfigured Denver's body, dental records were needed to confirm the pilot of the Long-EZ was indeed the fallen singer.

Upon announcement of his death, Governor Roy Romer of Colorado ordered all Colorado flags to be lowered to half-staff to honor Denver. He was cremated alongside his 1910 Gibson guitar that his grandmother had given him, and subsequently inspired much of his legacy. Denver's life was celebrated at funeral services at Faith Presbyterian Church in Aurora, Colorado on October 17, 1997. His ashes were scattered in the Rocky Mountains.

Hey everybody, I have some great news to share with you.  As most of you know that I have asked you all to pray for Allen to get saved.  Also I told you that I thought God was working on him, during this time of my father's illness.  Allen has been going to church with me, and he got saved Saturday night.  woohoo..  I am happy as a little birdy. His screen name is wolfy69.

We called my parents and I could hear my mom saying Praise the LORD Praise the LORD, so we went over there that night, and we all had a hug party right in the kitchen. 

Seeing the 3 men that I love, hugging was just wonderful. I had tears in my eyes.   I can't explain my feelings or my thoughts but I can say this is a great feeling and knowing that they have been saved and are going to HEAVEN is an awesome feeling.

Thank you everyone for praying for me and my family.  I love and miss you all so much.  I hope to be back online very soon. 

 Please continue to pray for my dad he has good days and bad days.  And today was a bad day. Still praising GOD, cause he is an awesome GOD.   

I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the prayers and your kind words.. During this time in our lives, I know that without your help and prayers I don't think I would be doing as good as I am.  So I am saying once again Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 

God listens to our prayers and if only for a short time, hopefully longer for us, my father is doing so much better, little pain, and is getting to go place, but someone has to drive him. 

LET'S JUST PRAISE THE LORD PRAISE THE LORD LET'S JUST LIFT OUR HAND TO HEAVEN AND PRAISE THE LORD.
