Help Across The Great Internet Divide
You don't have to see someone in person to thank them.
You don't have to know who they are to know they care.
You don't have to meet a person face to face-
for you to know that a helping hand is there.
I have learned this through my trial and my error;
as I tried to create with so much fret-
that there are those who will offer helping hands-
Across the Great Divide of the Internet.
My heart is warmed just to think there are those,
who will take the time to teach you and to give;
of their time, just for you, a complete stranger.
Makes this world a much nicer place to live.
If I had wings and could fly across the world-
I would make little stops along the way.
Just to say, for one moment, face to face-
Thanks for all the help you've given me today.
I will use this screen before me as my wings.
I will send my message out for all to hear.
There are caring people in this world we live in.
They are often ones we cannot see or hear.
If I could wrap a bow around this poem I'd do it.
If I could give back the help you've given me I would.
But, for now, please take this humble thanks I offer-
for being kind, for being helpful -- for being
You
