Hello all.
After my chaotic weekend with fixing the car and having to book two days off as holiday i went back to work today and the welcome was quite suprising to say the least. Some were expecting me to come back in a neck brace due to the way i had to stop my car on friday morning, and some others went all macho on me muttering under their breath about "girls fixing cars shouldn't be allowed" and i'm thinking "B*****ks" to you boys". This sort of male chauvinist pig attitude gets on my nerve because i was always raised to treat people both male and female equally.
I had this attitude from them all morning until i said these words to the ringleader "If it wasn't for us women, you wouldn't be here", all i can say he went away with a very puzzled look on his face.
I didn't bother to tell them that on sunday evening me and my mum admitted defeat when it came to the brake hose which was rusted to the mounting which joined it to the brake line, we just couldn't get the nut off so we phoned the mechanic who looks after the car when it goes into the garage and he came out to us and got the hose off and put the new one on for us.
I might admit this later on when i hear about their cars braking down, but i don't know.
Should I?
