Too Many Bad Decisions
Feb 27, 2010 | 7:50PM
The title says it all. This past week probably has to be the worst week of my life. From what happened last Sunday night, to getting fired Thursday night. Life is a learning experience. To some, it's worse than others. It's what YOU make of it and the people YOU hang out with. If I could have changed two decisions, I would not be writing this. One far worse than losing my job. A lesson for everyone: Thank before acting. It will save you dearly.

9/17 Update
Sep 17, 2009 | 2:42AM
Before I begin, I'd like to point out that this is my official blog. Grab here is just going to used for blogging only.
Now, where to begin...I have a job now. I started May 15th at Walmart. I am the grocery unloader. I was one of the general merchandise unloaders until one of the grocery unloaders went to another position. What it's like: The general merchandise consists of items from every department in the store. Most all the freight is piled up all the way to the back of the trailer. One person is in the trailer lifting all the boxes onto the roller line. The line goes from inside the trailer and curves out. All the freight is put on pallets, except for a few departments. The items are sorted by the department number and put in the corresponding pallet or cart. After lunch break, the pallets and cards are pulled out to the sales floor to be stocked by the overnight employees. Then it's time for picks. Picks are items that get replenished in it's department. A hand-held telxon shows us where the item is in the backroom, what the item is, and how many need to be brought out. Only full cases are taken. All the grocery items come in on pallets with plastic wrap around it. It isn't all groceries. Paper, chemicals, infants, and some pharmacy items come in from the grocery truck as well. All the freight is down-stacked and sorted by which isle the items go to. It seems hard to remember what goes where, but after sometime, it's pretty easy. All the items are placed on flat, blue-handled carts, or rocket carts. Then after lunch break, finish up down-stacking or start on grocery, paper, & chemical picks. That's what I do.
My car was out of commission for about a month. It would not start. It would turn over, but not start. I got suck a few times, and my dad had to tow me home. My dad's usual mechanic (Not the one that fixed my brakes) could not get it to work. One of my former coworkers said he knows a guy that fixes cars and he should take a look at it. I thought the car was junk. Served it's use and should be put to rest. I was trying to get a loan or a used car, but I couldn't get it approved because I don't have credit established. After 4 days of this new guy having my car, I called him and asked him about it. He said he replaced the crankshaft sensor, but could not get it working. When I thought all hope was over, The guy calls later that night and said he got it running. It was a mater of a broken wire, and possibly that crankshaft as well. So I'm back on the road with my first car still.
I've got Sirius satellite radio now. I really like it. I have it mounted it my car. It's nice to hear a wide variety of music, sports, and talk. Far better then what little bit of stations there are on FM. It wasn't cheap, but well worth it.
I have been to Wisconsin Dells three times this summer. All three with my family. We had won a bunch of coupon book for the Dells from a radio station. It included free admission to certain places, and 10% discount on select locations. I had brought a friend with the first time, but was unable to the last two times. I went to Noah's Ark Waterpark in June with my dad & mom, and went to Mt. Olympus Indoor and Outdoor Water and Theme Park this past Saturday. It was my 2nd time there. Admission was only $5 for being the 2nd to last day open for the year. Just the wave pool was open outside, but the indoor waterpark was open. Go-carts and roller coasters were open outside, and the childish indoor park was open. We ate at Moose Jaw the first time, Buffalo Phill's the 2nd time, and Pizza Ranch the last. Nothing in the Dells is cheap, but it's always great to visit.
I bought a Playstation 3 in July. The only game I bought was Grand Theft Auto IV. I really like the PS3, and probably won't play PS2 or Xbox again. A friend's brother is letting me borrow Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe for my GTA IV. It's a pretty cool, arcade-based game. I bought a router so I can browse internet on the system, play others online, and download items.
I saw Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen on opening day with my friend Robert (spirit83). It was cool to hear Linkin Park's movie score New Divide played in it. Great song if you haven't heard it. The movie I believe is better than the first. Pretty good, and keep you interested. Since that day, Robert hasn't been the same. Something is bugging him that is making him depressed. He doesn't do much of anything anymore. I wanted to go bowling with him on his birthday, but he couldn't because it was a school night and was after 8:30. Out mothers are not communicating anymore. Robert's mom sells Avon, and my mom has been buying from her, and there is a confusion on how much my mom owes that keeps changing all the time. I am thinking about telling Robert off and not being his friend anymore and done with their family. His dad never liked me, and I was never a friend of the family to him.
I am trying to become friends with my coworkers, but not too much lately. Two of the adults of left to another department, on kid left to move out of state, and other one will be leaving soon to start another job. Hard to do anything with a coworkers when always having to work, and not having the days days off. One of the kids knows my current best friend Billy. Another one I went to school with but don't remember. One coworker is an alcoholic, a couple of them smoke so it's hard to make friends with people like this. They are either supporting a child, going to college, or whatever.
I guess that is about all that comes to mind. It's already 4:30 AM, and 3 ½ hours after I punched out at work. I'm getting tired and about to head to bed. Wrapping this up, thanks for reading my official blog. Goodnight...

What's Going On In My Life
Apr 13, 2009 | 1:17AM
It's been over 238 days since my last blog, so here's what's been up lately:
Got the brakes fixed on my car. My dad's old supervisor owns a garage and hires a guy to fix cars. My brakes were very bad. I had to get both front & rear replaced, and new brake lines because one wheel wasn't even getting fluid and it was almost broke. Took the guy two days to get it done. He had a hard time getting it done.
I turned 19 on April 3rd. It didn't seem like a birthday. I went with my family to Appleton. Ate at Red Lobster. Only one around. Over 80 miles away. Went shopping at the Fox River Mall there in Appleton. I only bought some dart tips, only to find out later that they were too big. I had 2 friends over and one's brother over the next night. He had a good time, and it seemed more like a birthday.
Our storage company has made us clean out our storage and move to another one four units down. They want to knock down a few units on each side to expand their office space. This is the second time they made us move, but this time is worse. The storage is filled from front to back, and even half way up with crap. My dad and I have been moving things over. We have a lot of trash, but no trailer to haul anything. We got a good start, but still a week for longer to get us moved.
My friend Robert (Spirit83) has not done anything with me since the end of January. I am losing him as a friend. I no longer consider him a best friend. His dad is the biggest problem. He doesn't like many people. He never wants me to stay the night there. I haven't done so since October. Now that he has a job, working on Saturday's, and he's still in school & I'm not, I don't seem important to him anymore. I sent him an email telling him how I feel, but I never got his message he replied back.
I've been going to a friend's house frequently lately. We went to school for 6 years together. He decided not to finish, and dropped out. Him and his brother have been good friend's to me. They used to live four miles from me in this town, but they moved out early March and moved in with their grandma. They have to share the same room and bed. Now they live about 11 miles away. The only problem I have with them is that they all smoke and I don't. They know I don't and don't make me do it. I just don't like coming home smelling like an ashtray.
I only have three friends. Two I met from school. Nobody else wanted to be friends with me. It's hard to have so little. I am used to doing things myself, and being alone. I even enjoy it when my parents are all gone.
I've been playing my guitar a lot. I'm getting better, but I basically only play power chords. I only play Linkin Park songs. I play rhythm to every song I can play, and lead to the songs with only one guitar. I would love to play and/or sing in a band. If only I could get my wish come true.

Linkin Park Concert
Aug 17, 2008 | 5:09PM
It finially happened. I saw Linkin Park for the first time. I was so excited, and I couldn't believe it. They played at, East Troy, Wisconsin during the Projekt Revolution 2008 tour. I am so happy I got to see them. Chris Cornell was there too and he played very well. My brother really liked him, and was very happy we got great seats. There were other bands there too, but Chris Cornell, and Linkin Park were the best two. Best night of my life!

Waterpark
Jun 30, 2008 | 6:50PM
I went to Noah's Ark, America's Largest Waterpark today with my brother, sister in-law, my mother, and my 10 month-old nephew. I wanted to go on water rides with my brother, but he took off with his wife. My mom left too. I went on a lot of rides. I like The Black Anaconda, Time Warp, and the Flash Flood. You would have to go there to experience how great of a place it is. Noah's Ark is located in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. I live about 45 minutes north of the Dells.
After going on a few slides, and rides, I went back looking for my family. I could not find them. I went on a bunch of rides all myself. I went on the Sting Ray for the first time. I was a bit nervous at first, but I thought it wasn't that bad. After heading back towards the Big Kahuna wave pool, towards the lockers, I found my brother. He told me that they ate at The Wave food area, and it was crap. My sister in-law got a chili dog that was not warm, and my brother and mom ate a gyro (Pronounced "year oh.) and they said it has nasty.
I went on the Time Warp last. It's a pretty fun ride. You go kinda fast into a dark tunnel, and you spin around in the middle, until you go to the exit. I wanted my brother to go with but he really didn't want to. My sister in-law didn't want him to either.
When we left, my sister in-law was feeling sick. She threw up at a gas station, and at the restaurant we ate at. We all think she got food poisoning. That hot dog she ate was not very warm, and I heard that the guy didn't like the fact she complained about it. My mother and I got sunburned. My mom got it more. My brother felt tired, and had a headache. When we got back home, my sis threw up again a couple times. Both of them went to sleep on my bed.

Graduation Party
Jun 28, 2008 | 8:45AM
Today is the day. My graduation party. I will be at the party as well as 3 other graduates. We all will be celebrating together. The party is at the same place my uncle's 50th birthday party as at two years ago, that I had blogged about.
Awesome time! A few of my friends cane that I invited. They didn't bring a card or a gift. One brought potato salad. We all had fun. We jumped in the lake and went swimming. I played with my nephews and niece at the park area. They always wanted me to push them on this spinning thing. They all were happy to see me. I got to see my grandpa again. I rarely ever see him.
The DJ was my friend's cousin. He played good songs. You requested them and he downloaded it. He played two I requested. I usually don't dance, but I danced to a few songs. my sister in-law and I were dancing to some, and my mother and I.
There was a lot of food there. It was all good. We ran out of buns because Arby's gave us less than we ordered. The roads beef was very good, and didn't last long.
It was nice to see my family and friends again. Everyone had a good time. I'm glad it turned out good. It rained once before we got to the party, but it stayed nice the rest of the day. That was great! I gave out 20 invitations at school and only 4 came . Two I invited was also invited by my cousin. I got 9 cards. Two of them I am supposed to get soon. They forgot it. I got a nice share of money. Putting that towards a car.

House On The Rock (Visit 2)
Jun 24, 2008 | 10:09AM
Yesterday, my mother's friend took her kid, my mom and I to the House On The Rock in Spring Green, Wisconsin. One thing we saw on the way was areas flooded. Spring Green got hit hard. Water was up to people's basement on many houses, and their entire yard in water. It was bad. Driving there past Wisconsin Dells, when we went over a bridge with Lake Delton on both sides, it was completely empty. Literally. The entire lake drained, leaving nothing but dead fish and sand behind.
You may have already read my post from last year about going to The House On The Rock. It was nice to go with someone else and have time to look at the stuff. The attraction has 3 self-guided tours of Alex Jordan Jr.'s collections and some from others. The first part of the tour takes you into his home. Alex had passed away in 1989. One thing that will stand out in tour 2 is a 200 ft. hand-built shark. A ramp takes up to see the top, as well as any collectibles along the way to see the mouth of the shark. A boat is inside the mouth.
We stopped for Ice Cream there. The prices of all the food is over priced, but the ice cream was worth it. This lady working there gave us each 2 scoops of any flavor for the price of a single. I had mine in a waffle cone. It was very good.
One of the biggest attraction is the world's largest carousel. It has over 20,000 lights, and 269 hand-crafted animals, not one is a horse. Another popular attraction is the Infinity Room. Walk as far as you can. If you keep looking forward, the room looks as it goes on and on. Near the end, the floor feels like it's moving a bit. The room is not at ground level. It was quite a ways up from the ground. You can see a good view of the area from looking out one of 300 windows.
After our visit, we stopped in Reedsburg at a Pizza Ranch. The food was very good. We got there just before the buffet opened, so everything was fresh. They have breaded chicken, corn, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, pizza of course, and the awesome Cactus Bread. A pizza shaped desert with apple crumb and vanilla icing. The beverages are $1 extra, but you can get as many refills as you like. The soda, iced tea, and coffee is all self serve. The only thing I don't like is they have all Coke products. I hate Coke, so I just drank plain iced tea with lemon juice.

Trreasure Island
Jun 21, 2008 | 6:43PM
I posted about this two years ago, but I went to Treasure Island casino/hotel in Red Wing, Minnesota with spirit83 this past Monday. It is almost a 4 hr drive north west. For dinner that night, we bought food at the gas station by the casino. Had to warm it there. No microwave in the room we were in.
The hotel is getting a new addition added, which includes a bowling ally. Won't be done until August. Robert, and I went down to the pool after I finished eating, and played a game of Billiards. I won that one. He scratched while hitting the 8 ball in. We went in the pool afterward. I went in the hot tub first. There are 2 hot hubs there. We were were throwing a splash bomb back when a little girl wanted to play. He was very cute. Rob has a water torpedo. The girl called it a helicopter, and a tortilla. This little boy who looked younger then the girl wanted to play too. We had a good time until both of them eventually left.
Little did I know, you can gamble there if you are 18. Most everywhere it is 21. I could have gambled, but I didn't know about it, and I didn't want to. The cop there puts a stamp on your right hand that has a heart with 18 inside it.
Gas prices there in Minnesota were cheaper than in Wisconsin. At the station by the casino, it was only $3.76/g and not taxed, being on Indian reservation.

Family Visit
Jun 21, 2008 | 6:29PM
Last Saturday was my cousin's graduation party. They live in Harland, which is a 2-1/2 hr. drive south east. On the way there, the main interstate was closed a ways down due to the flooding, so we had to take a detour there. My grandma had bough me a navigation system awhile back and I have never had any use for it. We used it going there, even though it does not know about road closings. We stopped at a gas station to ask where to go to get on I94. We followed the roads and eventually found it. I94 going west was closed. Lucky for us, we were going east, and it was open. It took us about an hour longer to get there.
The party was at her home in her backyard. They hired a DJ to play CDs of his. My uncle and some of his friends had bought a large tent for occasions like this. He had 30 chickens roasting over a pit in his backyard. It was very tasty, but the breasts were a bit dry. There was quite a bit food there that people had brought.
My cousin's brother was playing baseball with his friends. He is only 12. They asked me if I wanted to play. I joined them for awhile. I said we should play football. We eventually did. The weather was great until just before dinner was done. It rained very hard for awhile. We played in the rain, but then decided to go in. Most people were in the tent and closed the off the sides. It rained later that evening and hailed a bit.
The DJ played until 12:30 AM. The cops came there and told them to keep the music down, or stop playing. That was around 11. Earlier that night, there was 12 of us watching the Brewers baseball game. It went into the 12th inning, tied at 4. We all were hoping the Brewers would win, but they blew it. The Twins got 5 runs in, while the Brewers couldn't get any. That was a disappointment.
The next day, we left from their house, and visited my brother, his wife, and my little nephew. He is almost 10 months old. Very adorable. They have a small apartment on the 2nd floor. It was Father's day that Sunday. We ate at a Chinese buffet in Hartford, where both of my brothers live. After that, we want to my other brother's home, and saw my other nephews, and niece. Two of the kids were gone. The oldest one was at work, and the 2nd oldest was at her friend's house. They were all happy to see us. My sister-in law of my oldest brother didn't seem happy. He is having issues with my bro lately. It was a nice weekend.

Wisconsin Dells & Flooding
Jun 21, 2008 | 6:02PM
Wisconsin has been hit hard with flooding in the past month. Areas were completely covered in water that was not there before. Multiple roads were closed due to this. Lake Delton in Wisconsin Dells has drained itself and caused damage to many homes. The lake that was used for many boat tours is no longer a lake, but a sand bar now. Wisconsin Dells has been called a natural disaster area.
I went to the Dells a couple weeks ago. The weather was [censored]. Rainy, and storming. My friend's mom claimed she saw Lake Delton empty, but none of us could see it, or were not paying attention. I went with my friend Robert (spirit83) and his parents. We have a coupon book we won from a radio station for Wisconsin Dells. Only good through the end of the month. We wanted to go bowling. Unfortunately, the coupon book was only good for rides in the arcade, and only for two hours. We mostly went on the bumper cars. There is a 4D movie room where you wear 3D glasses and watch a short video. The seat moves, and vibrates to the video. That was pretty cool. I got sick going on the Tornado. Too much spinning. Rob wanted me to go on it when we first got there. I said maybe later, I'll will get sick. Sure enough, later that day, I went on and got suck. Felt as I would throw up, but I didn't.
I was still feeling a bit sick when we left to eat. We ate at Pizza Ranch. Our book is good for 10% there. They have good pizza on the buffet. The only thing I didn't care for was their beverages.
The movie we were going to see already started, so Rob's parents went back to the casino for an hour, while Rob and I played games in the arcade there. We didn't play anything that wasn't free at the other place. We went to the theater, which recently has changed owners, to see You Don't Mess With The Zohan. It was a good movie. Better than I thought I was going to be.

I Decided to come back and see what everyone is up to on Grab.

Today was my graduation day. I am now finished with school. I will probably go on to a tech school in town. It was nice to see everyone together one last time. I am having a party at the end of the month. Gave 20 invites out, but forgot a couple. Probably going to mail them. I'll get a picture soon of graduation.
March was my Senior Class Trip. I went with about 40 classmates to Washington DC. Stopped at Notre Dame on the way to get pictures Also stopped at Gettysburg that day. It is an amazing place. I really liked it.. Saw a lot of awesome things. Arlington Cometary was really nice. I really liked the Kennedy Center play Shear Madness. I'll get pictures.

Projekt Revolution
Jun 01, 2008 | 8:07PM
I'm back on Grab now. It's been a long time since I've blogged last. Well, I will probably be seeing Linkin Park for the first time ever this summer. Music For Relief is looking for volunteers to work in the booth at various Projekt Revolution locations. Those who are willing to work will get the chance to see Linkin Park for free. Linkin Park has finally come back to Wisconsin, after four years.
Music For Relief is a non-profit organization established in 2005 to provide aid for those affected by the tsunami tragedy in South Asia, the idea for Music For Relief originated amongst the members of the band Linkin Park who wanted to do something to help the victims. The idea was that if they made a donation, and then asked their musician peers and their fans to make a donation as well, a huge impact could be made in assisting relief efforts. With this in mind they started reaching out to others in the music community to get involved and became the founders of Music For Relief. They will respond to natural disasters, and help out as much as they can. MFR has also converted all of their buses to grease oil. Making their vehicles environmentally safe.

House On The Rock
Sep 03, 2007 | 12:35PM
On Saturday, my friend spirit83, his family, and I went to see the House On The Rock, located in Spring Green, Wisconsin. What's that? It is s big museum that originaly started when some man opened his house to the public. The house was built on a rock. It is an 1800's style house, with alot of old items. Two other parts have been added on to the house after he died in the 1980's. The world's largest carousel can be found there, as well as many exibits. Check out http://www.thehouseontherock.com for more info.
After the house, we ate at Pizza Ranch, in a near by city. Everything is self serve, including the drinks. There was at least 5 different kinds of pizzas, broasted chicken, barbeque chicken, green beans, mashed potatos, potato wedges, Creamy Broccoli soup, and the famous Cactus Bread, only found at Pizza Ranch. This location was much nicer and better than the one in Wisconsin Dells.
After eating, we went to Desert Star Cinmena in Wisconsin Dells to see Death Sentence. I really liked the movie. It is about a man named Nick, his wife, and two kids Brendon, and Luke. The man was with his favorite son, Brendon after a hockey game. They stopped to get gas at a bad location. The boy went in the gas station to get a slush. Just then, a gang came into the gas station, pointed a gun to the cashier, and killed him. Then, they pointed the gun at Brendon, and killed him. The two brother's never really got along well.Luke would always call his brother a kiss-ass. After he realized that his brother is no longer, he actually cried looking a picture of him. Nick was really mad, so he got a knife, and followed the guy that killed his son, and stabbed him. The other gang members were so let down, and mad. They found out who killed the guy by one of the member's sister that saw Nick there. Nick was now walking home, and there the gang was waiting for him. He ran as fast as he could. They ended up in a car park. The 2nd biggest member got into a fight with Nick in a car. The car was in neutral, and rolling backwards. Nick had the gang member wrapped around the seat belt. Just as the car was just about to all over the railing, he quickly jumped out. Two of the members were now dead. Nick gets a package from one of the gang members at work. It was his wallet he had lost. On the pictures of his family, there were lines through them. The gang was after his family. You can find out more by watching Death Sentence.
