Wisconsin Dells & Flooding
Jun 21, 2008 | 6:02PM

Wisconsin has been hit hard with flooding in the past month. Areas were completely covered in water that was not there before. Multiple roads were closed due to this. Lake Delton in Wisconsin Dells has drained itself and caused damage to many homes. The lake that was used for many boat tours is no longer a lake, but a sand bar now. Wisconsin Dells has been called a natural disaster area.

I went to the Dells a couple weeks ago. The weather was [censored]. Rainy, and storming. My friend's mom claimed she saw Lake Delton empty, but none of us could see it, or were not paying attention. I went with my friend Robert (spirit83) and his parents. We have a coupon book we won from a radio station for Wisconsin Dells. Only good through the end of the month. We wanted to go bowling. Unfortunately, the coupon book was only good for rides in the arcade, and only for two hours. We mostly went on the bumper cars. There is a 4D movie room where you wear 3D glasses and watch a short video. The seat moves, and vibrates to the video. That was pretty cool. I got sick going on the Tornado. Too much spinning. Rob wanted me to go on it when we first got there. I said maybe later, I'll will get sick. Sure enough, later that day, I went on and got suck. Felt as I would throw up, but I didn't.

I was still feeling a bit sick when we left to eat. We ate at Pizza Ranch. Our book is good for 10% there. They have good pizza on the buffet. The only thing I didn't care for was their beverages.

The movie we were going to see already started, so Rob's parents went back to the casino for an hour, while Rob and I played games in the arcade there. We didn't play anything that wasn't free at the other place. We went to the theater, which recently has changed owners, to see You Don't Mess With The Zohan. It was a good movie. Better than I thought I was going to be.

House On The Rock
Sep 03, 2007 | 12:35PM

On Saturday, my friend spirit83, his family, and I went to see the House On The Rock, located in Spring Green, Wisconsin. What's that? It is s big museum that originaly started when some man opened his house to the public. The house was built on a rock. It is an 1800's style house, with alot of old items. Two other parts have been added on to the house after he died in the 1980's. The world's largest carousel can be found there, as well as many exibits. Check out http://www.thehouseontherock.com for more info.

After the house, we ate at Pizza Ranch, in a near by city. Everything is self serve, including the drinks. There was at least 5 different kinds of pizzas, broasted chicken, barbeque chicken, green beans, mashed potatos, potato wedges, Creamy Broccoli soup, and the famous Cactus Bread, only found at Pizza Ranch. This location was much nicer and better than the one in Wisconsin Dells.

After eating, we went to Desert Star Cinmena in Wisconsin Dells to see Death Sentence. I really liked the movie. It is about a man named Nick, his wife, and two kids Brendon, and Luke. The man was with his favorite son, Brendon after a hockey game. They stopped to get gas at a bad location. The boy went in the gas station to get a slush. Just then, a gang came into the gas station, pointed a gun to the cashier, and killed him. Then, they pointed the gun at Brendon, and killed him. The two brother's never really got along well.Luke would always call his brother a kiss-ass. After he realized that his brother is no longer, he actually cried looking a picture of him. Nick was really mad, so he got a knife, and followed the guy that killed his son, and stabbed him. The other gang members were so let down, and mad. They found out who killed the guy by one of the member's sister that saw Nick there. Nick was now walking home, and there the gang was waiting for him. He ran as fast as he could. They ended up in a car park. The 2nd biggest member got into a fight with Nick in a car. The car was in neutral, and rolling backwards. Nick had the gang member wrapped around the seat belt. Just as the car was just about to all over the railing, he quickly jumped out. Two of the members were now dead. Nick gets a package from one of the gang members at work. It was his wallet he had lost. On the pictures of his family, there were lines through them. The gang was after his family.  You can find out more by watching Death Sentence.

Mt. Olympus
Jun 17, 2007 | 11:47PM

Yesterday, I went to Mt. Olympus in Wisconsin Dells with my parents. It was a Greek-based Water & Theme park. It wasn't all that good. I really didn't get to do much. I had one free tickets from a radio station last month and used them on Father's Day. The wave pool was cool. I only went on watersides. Didn't have time for the other stuff. The tickets were only for the Water park, but nobody said anything to my dad when he went on the Go-Karts. I wanted to go on, but I legs were too long, and were hitting the top so I couldn't reach the gas pedal. I wanted to go on the bumper boats, but the line was long and only three boats worked so I left. I did have batting practice. I swung at some baseballs in a batting cage. 13 pitches for $1. I was in the slow booth. They didn't seem that slow. My fingers got nailed while the ball came at me. It only hurt for a minute or two.

After the Water park, we went to see Knocked Up at Desert Star Cinema. It was a good movie. Had some good parts. I was expecting more at the end. Maybe a sequel will be made. That ended our night. It was almost midnight by the time the movie got over. We just went through the Drive Thru at Burger King, just before it closed. That was my day.

Post Prom 2007
Apr 29, 2007 | 3:26PM

This year, I went to Post Prom. It is an event to give kids that went to prom (or those who want to have fun) something fun to do, instead of going to parties. I didn't go to prom yet another year. This is my second year going to Post Prom. Last year we went to an Indoor Waterpark. It's wasn't that big, but it was fun. This year, we went bowling, and went to see a movie afterwards.

I don't bowl very good. My highest score this morning (late night) was somewhere in the70 range. I got 2nd place in both games. It wasn't a competition, just a few friends of mine bowling together for fun. Dominos brought somewhere like 20 pizzas to the bowling ally. There was Pepsi and Mountain Dew from the bar in pitchers as well. I must of eaten 5 slices, and 5 cups of soda. Rock n' Bowl was fun that morning! The lights were out, and disco balls moving throughout the lanes. It was an awesome time!

The movie I was was Blades of Glory. It's about two guys competing against each other to win a gold metal in figure skating. They both claimed the Gold, tieing each other's score, but it was taken away after they both got into a fight then about both having the Gold medal. They were banned from ever entering figure skating again, but one guy read the rule book and found that they both can join again in pairs. The two hated one another, after being rivals. They were the first Male-Male pair skaters. Both of them worked hard, and enter the olympics again.  The rest you'll have to find out yourself. Soda, and popcorn was included.

It was a great experience bowling and seeing a movie with my friends. A one-a-year event that will bring back memories in the future. All of this only costed $3.
