Rockstar - Ty Goes Home!
Sep 01, 2005 | 9:49AM
Suzie was picked for the encore, but then they asked her to pick someone to do an opening act for her. With no hesitation at all, she picked Marty, who did an ever better job than the night before. The scary conductor guy came back, but it added to the show. He was really good. Suzie came out and had a really good time doing her encore. It was fun to watch her. She sang it really well. Asked the audience to sing with her and everything. She did great. I think she's moving to the top of the list.

They played some video from the mansion after the last performance. JD jumped on Suzie and told her she "had no right" to say they he took a long time in the recoding studio, when they asked her about it during the show. He made her cry. All the others bashed JD for being such a jerk. They are all tired of him, it sounds like.

INXS asked various people about it. Suzie said they worked it out. JD said that he started out "to win at all costs, but that wasn't really working for him, so now he's just here to sing". Imagine me rolling my eyes.

The initial bottom 3 were JD, Ty, and Marty. They put Jordis in the bottom 3 "at some time". Suzie and Marty were never in the bottom 3. The first person they called to be in the final bottom 3 was JD. (yah!) He sang "This Time" which contained the words that I hoped were indicative of what would happen, "The time will be the last time that we will fight like this". He pointed at the other singers while singing that line. Nice touch. Now go home, JD.

Ty was the next up. He sang "The One Thing" and did a solid job. He's really good, but it was not moving. INXS said that he blew some of the words. He did alright. Better than JD.

The final choice was.... "Marty....wait. You're safe". Brooke said that Marty got more votes than all the others in the bottom 3 put together. That made Jordis as the final act. She sang "Listen Like Thieves" and did a really good job. Seemed like she had some fun. I liked her best of the 3.

Final verdict? All the performances were "underwhelming" per INXS. I had to agree, but I blame the songs. Sorry, but I was never an INXS fan and this show isn't making me into one. Of the 3, they picked Ty as "not right for our band, INXS". Sorry Ty. I would have picked JD, but Ty was next anyway. He's really, really good and has a future out there, but he really isn't right for INXS.

Sorry , Ty. I'm going to miss you. You was one of my initial favorites to win.

Do you agree with their pick? Tell us in the forum...

I think Ty was very memorable at the beginning because of the freaky-deaky hairdo he sports. By this week, he was clearly the one to go.

That "Radio Disney" version of Can't Always Get What You Want was very weak, despite Dave Navarro (AHHHHH!) believing it was great. Where's Simon Cowell when we need him!!!

And the "poor me" speech at the end by Ty was also disappointing.
