HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Oct 13, 2008 | 2:15PM
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! A lot of people look at this time of year as a couple of things. One: its not Christian and Two: that means Christmas is just around the corner. Well, when my kids were little we celabrated Halloween, not as a bad thing, but as a fun thing. You get to dress up and go knock on peoples door and get lots of candy. And then of course when they were little enough mom and dad get to "inspect the candy" Of course our favorite was usually "bad" so we had to eat it so the kids wouldn't get . Ha, ha! And yes thanks to Wallyworld and other dept. stores Christmas is being put out as I write this. So the pressure is on from the kids, grandkids ect. I always have my bunch write down 5 things they want, within reason of course, and 5 things they need. Then at Thanksgiving they give me the list and I go get some of the things. That way they get what they need or want, and since I'm granny now its usually more of the want than need . Isn't being a grandparent the limit, as my aunti says? Of course all the noisy toys go to mom and dad's not granny and Papa Mike's. Thats what my mom and dad did. Gotta carry on the tradition.
Well, anyway just wanted to update ya all, and say HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! I probably wont' get a chance to wirte again till THanksgiving. So you and yours have a great week!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS
Dec 03, 2007 | 2:59PM
Hello to all who read this. As our thoughts are turned toward Christmas and family dinners and gatherings I would just like to remember even if you don't believe in God and His Son, please take the time to slow down from our busy lives and upcomming Holidays, long enough to say thank you Lord for our families and all that we are blessed with. It can't hurt right? I mean if you don't believe, and that is your right and I dont' condone anyone for what they beleive in or don't believe in, so what is it going to hurt to say "Thank you for all my blessings.?"
But for those of us who do belive I want to say "Thank you God for all my family and friends that you have blessed me with. Each of them mean so much to me. But you know God, as much as they mean to me the gift of your precuous Son means the most." And we all know how much that Gift has meant to us and what it means to us in the future and when Jesus returns to take us Home.
Now just a bit of sad news. Thomas has deceded he doesnt want to be married anymore he just wants a plontic relationship. Thats ok I guess not much I can do about it now. So life goes on.
Ok one last good thing. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS AND HAVE A WONDERFUL SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Love to my grab family Dawn

Our thanks
May 22, 2007 | 5:27PM
With Memorial Day fast approaching, I just wanted to write down a few of my thoughts. 1st and foremost I would like to thank all of our service people, man or woman, young or old, for thier unshelfiness to go and fight for our country so that we may have the freedom to worship, speak, think as we choose to do.; whether anyone agrees with us or not. I know most of the younger generation doesn't realize what all these wonderful people have done fro us, not just now but in the past. Just think how you speak to people, do you realize its because of thise wonderful people you can speak some of that crude language and disrespect people. Its too bad you don't realize that with the same effort you can speak with pride, speak respectfully to others and respect thier views. And no I'm not saying all young people do this as there are many more who do the same. As a cashier in Wal-mart I see these people everyday.
Ok, I am off my soap box now, but I think what I'm trying to convey here is this: No amount of wordscould ever show all of you wonderful people who have left your loved ones behind to make sure we have the freedom we have; and to your loved ones who so unshelfishly let them do that. I think we all should take an extra 2-5 min. to say an extrra thank you prayer and a prayer to keep these induviduals safe and for a safe return home. And don't just do it at memorial day; do it daily. I know I will.
THANK YOU EACH AND EVERYONE FOR GIVING ME AND MINE A SAFE COUNTRY TO LIVE IN!!!!!!

Joy a new life brings
Feb 17, 2007 | 2:03PM
Hello all my friends- Just to let you know we have joy in our family now to replace the sadness of our losses of a dear uncle and aunt within a week of each other. One of my twins, who is 24, just let me know him and his wife are having a baby! They just found out 3 days ago so we dont' have a due date yet. But isn't it amazing how God works. He made room by calling home 2 of his chilren and maybe with a little luck, and shelfiness on my part, we will have 2 babies. :) Both have twins on their family history. But God has replaced our sorrow with the joy of a new child(ren) comming.
Just wanted to share our good news. So have a wonderful weekend!! Love Thomas and Dawn

Happy Valentines Day
Jan 27, 2007 | 6:00PM
Well, well as the month of "love" aproaches us thoughts are being turned to love. While this is wonderful, and I am guilty just as anyone is, why dont' we tell the ones who we love that we do. After all, can we guarntee they will be here for Valentines Day? Of course not. Only God has that answer. I know that many of my friends on here are currentyly going through some pretty tough times. Medical, financial, love and just personal stuff. So why don't we all make a pact to tell them we love them, or at least care for them very much, today. I know I never let my kids out the door for school or wherver they were going without saying I love you. And believe me some mornings after the usual morning fights (get up its time for school, eat faster, get your shower,ect...) it wasn't always easy. As you younger ones will come to realize in the years to come, when you are parents you will understzand what I am talking about.
So, TO ALL MY FRIENDS!!! I LOVE YA ALL AND I HOPE THINGS IN YOUR LIFE ARE GOOD!!!
AMD TO MY HUSBAND, SANTA THOMAS, I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL!!
HAVE A GOOD ONE, AND MAY YOU GET TO HEAR THOSE WONDERFUL WORDS, I LOVE YOU, YEAR ROUND.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
Dec 31, 2006 | 5:08PM
HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FREINDS:
As we close 2006 out and welcome 2007 intto our lives, may it be joyas, healthy, prosperus and everything you hope for. As of midnight tonight all of 2006 problems are gone, so we start with a new slate so to speak. If you have God in your life congradulations and if you don't why don't you check out his resmume. It is in a book called the BIBLE He is always there in bad and good times. Sometimes we make it diffcult to see Him but if you search your heart and ask Him, I promise He will show up. Now understand, you may not like His timeing or His answer, but (and my husband is going to love this), be patient. It's like mom and dad always said " in good time child,"
Anyway be happy and may all your dreams come true in 2007!!!!! Love and hugs always Dawn

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS
Dec 20, 2006 | 8:19PM
Hello all just wanted to say a very Happy and Merry CHRISTMAS to all of you and yours. I'm not "goverend" by what I say and so I say with pride and joy MERRY CHRISTMAS; after all isn't Christmas supposed to be about the birth of Jesus? I know I can't stand when someone shortens it to MJerry Xmas. Where did the word Christ go? Have we become such a lazy society that we need to shorten the term?
Any way thanks for letting me "blog" that off my chest. Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas, and may you come to know why we have the season. Even if I never got another gift I have recieved the best gift of all. Jesus in my heart and life.Hope you find that happeniness before its too late. Take care each of you and have a safe trip if you are going somewhere. All our love Thomas and Dawn

Happy Holidays
Nov 08, 2006 | 6:57AM
November 8th, 2006
To all my good friends and maybe some new ones-
It has been a while since I last posted. With all the holidays comming up I figgured I'd better get my ying yahg busy and get it together. So 1st and foremost during this upcomming busy time please remember what the holidays are TRUELY ABOUT! GIVING THANKS TO OUR LORD FOR ALL OUR GIFTS FROM HIM; AND TO CELEBRATE JESUS'S BIRTHDAY!!!!! I think sometimes in the hustle and bussle of all of it, we forget its not about the delicious food, its about our many blessings;and its not about the amount of presents or who got the biggest or most expensive gifts; because we as Christians got the best gift there ever was and it is able to use round year 24/7; it never wears out, its always there rain, sleet, ect and He has huge broad shoulders so He can bear our pain and our joys. Of course I am talking about God and Jesus. For those of you that dont' know Him, I hope that you will ask him into your heart and life soon. Talk about a true friend!!!!!!!!!! And his love never ends no matter how "bad" you have been. Just be honest and sincire in asking him in.
Every year when my kids were little, we made a birthday cake for baby Jesus and put it out with the Santa cookies. And some how a peice sometimes 2, was always gone when we got up.
So I guess what I am trying to say is have a wonderful and safe holiday and remember the reason behind the holiday. And thank our troops for giveing and keeping our freedom so we can celebrate. Have a good one:
IN HIS NAME
Thomas (santa thomas) and Dawn (davidsmom1)

I'm sooooooooo happy
Mar 06, 2006 | 1:49AM
I know that a lot of you have told me blogging is for the teens, but guess what? I'm gonna do it anyway. I JUST GOT MARRIED ON THE 3RD OF MARCH!!!! I wanted to share with you "youngsters" the joy of love with your soul mate. I met him on this site and things moved real fast. Within 8 weeks of meeting we were married. Now let me say this, I wouldn't recommend this fast of move to anyone, UNLESS, you find your soul mate like I did. His name on here is "Thomassanta" and some how things just clicked real fast and it was right in my heart and with God.
While at a normal time I would suggest getting to know the person before you pack and move 1000 miles like I did, I also want to make it real clear that with my "elder" expereince and the bad times I went through I knew this was right. I prayed to God for the answer to be shown to me and He did. Thomas is a wonderful man who stands behind and for his woman, that'd be me :), and he encourges my dreams of finsishing school.
The only real regrets I have with my life is that at the ripe ole age of 18 my dad and mom offered to pay for my schooling to become a nurse, but there came that "I'm 18 and can do what i want and getting married is it, and of course you know what they say about hindsight. Let me speak from experience young people, finish school and your dreams. That man/woman if they truely love you will wait till you are done. But you can choose the road I did and do as I did. A single mom for 30 yrs reasing 4 boys. Boy would that nursing licesnce come in handy. But instead here I am at 49 and doing what I should have done then. It sure would have been easier then.
But now I am done with the ":mom" thing. so you can take it or leave it, but if you only listen to one thing make it this. When you find your soul mate, your heart and mind will know. Pray to God, or whoever to choose to pray to, and ask for His help. You know He will be there anytime to lend you that ear. You just have to be ready to listen.
And one final thought. When you find that special someone, enjoy life and them. Keep God in your lives and you will keep your husband/wife!
God Bless each of you!!!! Dawn aka David's mom1
