FOR supereeves LOSS OF LOVED KITTY Sep 29, 2009 \| 5:29PM This is from suppereeves & loss of her kitty: My sweetest best kitty friend Gretzky passed away recently after 15 and a half great years and I'm soooooo sad I haven't been keeping up on things. He's the only living thing I've spent every day with in my life... This is what I replied: I am so sorry to hear of this sad news I know how it feels. I lost my buddy Ben after 14 yrs. a few years ago. It helped me to blog. Missing a family member never goes away but the pain does ease. I held a candle light ceremony for him at the rainbow bridge: http://www.rainbowbridge.com/ And had support there & posted my thoughts. It helped me as well, they have people who contact you through email if you want, they were helpful for me. As I was like you my only mate for so long being single, my love of me life. After about 7 months I had to fill the void, I wasn't sure if I should or not I wasn't really ready. But, I bought a new female kitty Cali. And it did help, a lot, she makes me laugh everyday & helped me get over the sad times. Always remember your buddy, loves you, & loved you & shared some special times with you. Something to cherish forever as they give so unconditionally. And Gretzky watches over you now & will always. In time - you have the love to share, share it again with a new little loved one. When I come home from work and walk thru the door...there is no happy smiling face to greet me, no bundle of furry luv to lick my hand...but I can still see her and feel her so near to me and I will always and forever Love my pet.

i am so sorry of your loss,i lost my 2 beloved dogs last year,,they were 15 and 13 years old,i miss them still,but i have gotten 2 more puppys,they have helped us so much,they don,t replace our other pets,but show us so much love,i wish you the best,God bless you,huggys,venus

Sorry to hear you lost ur beloved pet. I hope that you will find another pet to share your love with, although, i know the loss of this special pet will linger with you for years to come. Im sorry for your loss. hugs, Kat

Sending you hugs at this sad time. No words can ease the pain of your loss. Gretzky was so lucky to have you in his life, he couldn't have had a better home. Hope you know how much you are loved dear friend.

This is Princess..I got her when she was 6 weeks old and she was my 'baby' for nearly 20 yrs...With a multitude of health problems followed by 2 strokes, I had to have her euthanized to end her suffering...But I continue to suffer...I have a cat and a dog that I love dearly..But when they are gone I don't want any more pets..Losing them is just too painful...

Ah wilfong,

Don't think that way please. Remember when you give love to them they give it back.

And when they are gone there so many more in shelters that need your love to carry on. You can help them to ease their pain & yours.

Just like family members - everyone has to go in God's time but we live on & can still share our love with others.

They will not go quietly,
the cats who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.

Old habits still make us think
we hear a meow at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.

Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,

Im So sorry to hear about your loss.
I felt the same way Wilfong did. and said the same thing after Winnie died (dog on my profile) about 3 months later, i bought another dog. Foxy is a Long hair Chihuahua who needed a home and i needed the love from another animal
It was the best thing i did

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your kitty. Animals are just so precious, and I still miss the dog we had to have put down last year.
