Jul 16, 2007 | 5:56PM

I go to lake shasta ever year. For all of you that don't know where that is, it's in California. We stay on a houseboat with a total of 14 people. This last year, I made up a story. It may take awhile to read. Well, if you read it, please leave a comment. If i get a good feedback, i'll post part 2. Thanks and enjoy! ^_^

Shasta Series

Part 1: The Love Shack

In June 2007, at Lake Shasta, everyone was out on the lake having a great time, except for the grandparents; they were relaxing on the houseboat. In Mark’s boat with Brenda were Stephen, Karen, and Marisa skiing at the same time. In Dean’s boat with Rita were Justin and Rebecca in the double tube, with Amy waving the flag. So everything started perfectly great, until the storm.

Dark clouds rolled in above them and lightening struck. Startled, Karen fell off her skis. Marisa bumped into Stephen and they both tumbled into the lake. By now, rain was pouring down in fine raindrops. The waves became fierce, throwing Justin and Rebecca into the air and out of the tube. Everything was happening so fast and the waves just swept Karen, Stephen, Marisa, Justin, and Rebecca far across the lake, leaving the parents frantically looking for them.

Finally, the five washed into an enclosed, secluded cove. Large, towering trees stood around it. The only light that showed was the illuminist glow of the crescent moon between the clouds. Everything seemed to have turned to midnight.

Justin was shivering from both fear and cold.

“It’s okay Justin, just calm down. Everything will be alright.” Rebecca tried to reassure him. Just after she had said that, a large raindrop fell on her head and she screamed. Stephen, Karen, and Marisa just laughed at her.

            “It’s not funny!” Rebecca protested.

“To you, no, but we think it’s just hilarious!” Karen said while laughing.

“Hey guys,” Marisa started as she looked around, done laughing, “I think we’re lost.”

“Thanks for pointing that out Miss Obvious.” Stephen said.

            “What! I’m just saying!”

            “Yeah, saying the obvious.”

After getting a bit irritated, Marisa went over to Stephen.

            In suspicion, Stephen asked, “What?”

“I just wanted to give you something,” and Marisa hit Stephen across the head and walked away.

“Hey! What did I do?” Stephen yelled as he rubbed his head. Marisa didn’t answer, she just rolled her eyes.

Karen, who had been walking around, said, “Hey! Everyone! I found something!”

Rebecca rushed over first. “What is it?”

“It’s a shack ‘becca” Stephen answered.

            “I know that!” Rebecca yelled.

            “Then why’d you ask?”

“Because… well… I just did okay! Leave me alone!” Rebecca turned her back to Stephen and crossed her arms in a pout-like way.

Ignoring Rebecca, Stephen walked into the shack. The door made a high pitch squeak. Everyone turned heads and looked back at the shack just in time to hear Stephen scream. Karen and Marisa quickly rushed in. Rebecca grabbed Justin’s arm and dragged him inside as well. They looked around and saw a trap door that had been opened. Justin backed inside the shack keeping his eye on the door in case he needed to escape. Since he wasn’t paying attention, he bumped into Karen and tumbled down into the hole. Karen self-consciously grabbed onto Rebecca and she fell down too. Marisa leaned over and looked down at the three that just fell. The door squeaked shut but Marisa didn’t pay attention to it. Stephen walked out from behind the door and pushed Marisa in and she had just enough time to grab onto Stephen mad and pulled him down as well.

After finally landing on what seemed to be a very comfy foam mattress, they all looked around the room in marvel. The room that they were standing in seemed to be a room from heaven. There was a T.V., stereo, unlimited supply of food, a hot tub, and so much more. But also, in the corner of the room was a cave entrance. Marisa was the first to walk over to it.

“I’m going to see where this leads to,” Marisa announced.

            “I’ll come too,” Karen said.

            “Can I come?” Rebecca asked.

“No ‘becca, you’re too young,” Karen answered.

By now, Justin was already playing the Wii that was in the room.

“Why don’t you just stay here with Justin? Just raid the fridge or something.” Karen suggested.

Considering her suggestion, Rebecca said, “fine…” which she said so that she would sound disappointed. She quickly raced towards the fridge and rummaged through it while listening to an MP3 player she found.

“I guess I’ll stay here too…” Stephen said and started heading for the hot tub. Karen and Marisa each grabbed his arms and pulled him away.

“Not so fast,” Marisa said, “You’re coming with us.”

            “Why?” Stephen objected.

“We need a strong man to help us in case there’s danger.” Karen answered in a needful tone.

“Your right. You two would die the moment you walked into that cave without me.” Stephen replied proudly and walked into the cave with Marisa and Karen following him.

In a whisper, Marisa told Karen, “I’m sure we could do fine without his help”.

“Yea, I know. But say if a bear were to appear, I could push him in front of us and run the other way.”

“Good thinking.” Marisa and Karen just giggled at the thought of it.

Awhile later after walking aimlessly through the cave, they could hear an eerie noise coming from ahead. They stopped, thinking whether to keep going or not.

“What was that?” Karen asked a bit creped out.

“I don’t know,” Stephen answered, “but lets find out.” Stephen kept walking. Marisa and Karen reluctantly followed. They kept following the noise and finally came to an opening.

“Where are w-“ Before Karen could finish a voice interrupted.

“Hello and welcome” A woman dressed in a tattered old dress came out from the shadows of the enormous cave room.

“Who are you?” Stephen asked at once.

“Stevie, don’t be so rude!” Karen scolded.

“Oh it’s alright. My name is Beth. And you are all in the Love Shack where you shall be married today!” she said in a cheerful voice.

“Married?!” Stephen, Marisa, and Karen asked at the same time.

“Yes. Just take you pick from one of these guys.” Just as she said it, five very hot guys walked into the room. Marisa and Karen’s eyes became wide in amazement.

“I call him!” Karen rushed over to one of the guys and wrapped her arms around him.

“Oh I’m terribly sorry, but these men are gay,” Beth said.

“What?! Gay!” Karen yelled in disappointment.

“Then who are we supposed to marry?” Marisa asked.

“Well, I have a spell that can transform you two into guys and then you would be able to marry them.”

            “Become a guy?” Karen questioned.

“Wait, what about me? Got any hot babes?” Stephen asked hopefully.

“No, sorry. I’ve only got men.” Beth said, “but you could marry her,” Beth pointed to Marisa as she said it. “She’s close to you age. And you have close personalities and the same height. A perfect match. So? How about it?”

Marisa and Stephen looked at each other, then back at Beth.

“Heck no!!” They both yelled at the same time.

“Can we just leave now?” Karen said as she walked back over towards Marisa and Stephen.

“You can’t leave this place until you’ve been married. In fact, your friends are being wed right at this moment.” She turned on a monitor, which showed Rebecca and Justin standing at the altar. Justin was playing his Nintendo DS while Rebecca was listening to her MP3 player while saying their “I do’s”. As soon as they saw it, they all laughed at the sight. Beth decided to turn off the monitor and turned back and faced them.

Marisa, thinking over the whole situation asked, “Do you have any none-gay guys?”

“Yes, I do.” Beth motioned towards an opening and five more guys walked through. Again, Marisa and Karen went wide-eyed. Only this time, Karen took longer to choose between two of them. She finally decided and went over to him and linked arms.

            “Now what?” Karen asked.

“Just exit to the right and you shall be wed right away. Oh! And before I forget, you can divorce right after you leave. That is if you want.” Beth mentioned.

Karen and her man left through the doorway on the right.

Marisa finally chose a guy and was told to exit to the left.

An hour later, Karen and her husband, Marisa and her husband, and Rebecca and Justin met up outside of the shack. Justin and Rebecca were holding hands. Karen was being held in the arms of her husband.

“I’m leaving you.” Marisa told her, now ex-husband. He was about to object, but just shook his head and went back into the shack.

            “You divorced?” Karen asked.

“Yeah. I don’t want to marry. Being single’s fun.” Marisa smiled as she said it.

Just noticing, Rebecca asked, “Where’s Stevie?”

“He fell behind, so stick to the pirates code.” Marisa answered in a joke, but acted serious.

“Good enough for me.” Rebecca said.

“The pirates code huh?” A voice came.

            “Who’s there?” Marisa looked around.

“Are you a pirate?” The person stepped out and it happened to be Captain Jack Sparrow. With him was Elizabeth Swan. Karen marveled at the sight.

“Well no, but I meant it as a joke.” Marisa answered.

“Oh…” Jack Sparrow pondered the thought.

Elizabeth turned her attention to Karen. “I know this is an odd question, but what’d your middle name?”

            “Elizabeth,” Karen answered.

“So does this mean you first name is Karen?”

            “…Yes, but how’d you know?”

“Because your my daughter” Elizabeth started, “I had to give you up because otherwise I thought I couldn’t keep you alive since I’m sailing with pirates. But now, you’re old enough to come back with me. If you want.”

“Of coarse! So then, what’s my real name?” Karen asked.

“Karen Elizabeth Turner” She replied proudly.

“Really!” Karen squealed in excitement. Elizabeth nodded while smiling.

Karen announced to her husband, “I’m breaking up with you… but I’m keeping the ring!” Her now ex-husband just went back into the shack and Karen stood next to her mother, Elizabeth Swan.

“Well now that we’re all happy, let’s go!” Jack Sparrow interrupted. “Everybody, to the Black Pearl!”

All together, Karen, Elizabeth, Justin, Rebecca, Marisa, and Jack Sparrow went and climbed aboard the Black Pearl. There, waiting was Will Turner. Karen rushed over and hugged him, happy as ever that she was his daughter. Once everyone was aboard, they sailed to the houseboat. Marisa made Justin and Rebecca walk the plank and they swam to their houseboat. Karen stayed with her real parents. Captain Jack Sparrow offered Marisa to sail with them and be his right hand pirate. Marisa agreed.

Jack sailed the Black Pearl through a secret river, which opened out to the Pacific Ocean.

While sailing, Marisa spotted what looked like a boy.

“Hey! I think I see someone!” Marisa shouted. Everyone ran to look.

“Wait a minute, that looks like Stephen! And he’s swimming with… sharks…” Karen said nervously.

“That boy has gills!” one of the crewmembers shouted.

While swimming alongside the Black Pearl, Stephen explained, “Well I didn’t want to live that crazy person, and I didn’t want to be gay, so I married a shark girl and got gills, fins, and sharp teeth.”

“So you Shark Boy!” Karen shouted.

“Shark Man!” Stephen yelled back. But everyone ignored him and chanted, “Shark Boy! Shark Boy! Shark Boy! Shark Boy!”

A year later, Karen was living happily with her parents Elizabeth Swan and Will Turner. They moved into a beautiful England home along a beach.

Marisa became a very well known pirate and strong too. She still sails on the Black Pearl alongside Captain jack Sparrow.

Justin and Rebecca continued life normally, but stayed married long distance.

Shark Boy, rarely called Stephen anymore, lives his life as a shark in the sea and helps endangered fish. He also has two shark kids named Bruce and Lenny.

AND EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER!! For now.
