always something going on !! life for ginny !!!
Feb 22, 2010 | 10:54AM
to start we got go out !! wonderful our late valentine date My husband and i went see merle haggard and kris krisofferson on thursday it was fabulous !!!!
"Old age is not for sissies," Kris Kristofferson paused mid-song to proclaim after spacing a line from "Sunday Morning Coming Down." "Damn teeth," Merle Haggard complained after he tongue-twisted a couple of words about halfway through their Thursday concert at Riverwind Casino in Norman.
Kristofferson is 73. Haggard is 72. Over the hill they are not.
From my baby boomer perspective, their silver hair is beautiful. So are their well-earned wrinkles. Their voices are still strong. Well, OK, Kristofferson's voice was never that strong, but with him it's all about the lyrics anyway. Who can fault a guy for forgetting a lyric when he's the one who wrote such poetry? It might have slipped his mind, but it's hard-wired in his soul, where it came from.
And as Haggard explained to the adoring crowd, "I wrote most of these songs when I was in my 20s. Now here I am in my 40s... "Lol!!!
I have no idea why Haggard chose not to sing "Okie from Muskogee" while standing on our red soil. It was part of the Fort Worth concert just the night before. A colleague of mine suggested it was just too expected, too cliché. And it's not like he's never sung it here before. I've worn out my recording of him performing it in Muskogee all those years ago, when they presented him with the keys to the city. He sang it for them twice that night in fact.
A middle-aged couple from Blanchard sat on one side of us; two 20-something guys on the other. As the magical evening drew to a close, my husband asked the rhetorical question. "Who is going to take their places when they're gone?"
They appear to me to be in fine shape. I can only hope they outlive me.
and this coming saturday right after i get off work at 2 we are heading to pawhuska oklhoma fairgrounds !! for the celbration of life !! for ginny !! the town and the church got this together a live band and plenty to eat !!! and donations going all for Ginny wish u all could come !! it should be loads of fun !! love ya i will keep u all informed !! her health is good at this time caUSE OF STERIODS AND THAT SHE HUNGRAY ALL THE TIME SHE IS UP TO 135 OF COURSE THAT NOT FAT ON HER 5FT. Pawhuska
Pawhuska , capital of the Osage Nation, attributes much of it's rich history and culture to the Osage tribe. The origins of the tribe date back to the Ice Age, though their link with Pawhuska began in 1871 when they bought this land back from the Cherokees.
As perpetual owners of the mineral rights in the county, the Osage Indians became the richest people per capita in the world during the "Oil Boom" of the 1920's. Their fascinating history is chronicled in the Osage Tribal Museum, the oldest continually operating tribal museum in the United States. Hear about Wild West outlaws such as Jesse James, Belle Starr, and Bill Doolin who hid out in the hills around Pawhuska (Bob Dalton was even the Osage Police Chief!) Many other famous people have had ties to Pawhuska: Herbert Hoover, Tom Mix, Clark Gable, Bob Wills, Ben Johnson, and more. Oil Barons such as Frank Phillips and Jean Paul Getty sat under the "Million Dollar Elm" in Pawhuska to bid for the Osage oil leases which helped make their fortunes. Or, would you believe that the first Boy Scout troop was founded in Pawhuska? (They camped out at Buckingham Palace and danced for the Queen!) These wild stories are all true; visit the Osage County Museum for information on these stories and more. newest pictures of ginny !! my hero !!!

thanksgiving lots be thankful for
Nov 03, 2009 | 5:21PM
< Most of All
Thanksgiving Day brings to mind the blessings in our lives that usually go unnoticed: a home that surrounds us with comfort and protection; delicious food, for pleasure in both eating and sharing; clothes to snuggle up in, books and good entertainment to expand our minds; and freedom to worship our God. Most of all we are thankful for our family and friends, those treasured people who make our lives extra special. You are part of that cherished group. On Thanksgiving, (and every day) we appreciate you.
Happy Thanksgiving!

yes could be true i loved this in email sure most u read it before but it beautiful
Even if this is not a true story...it is inspirational
Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts .
This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring rain.
|
The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said, 'OK, dad, I'm ready.'
His Pastor dad asked, 'Ready for what?'
'Dad, it's time we gather our tracts together and go out.'
Dad responds, 'Son, it's very cold outside and it's pouring rain.'
The boy gives his dad a surprised look, asking, 'But Dad, aren't people still going to Hell, even though it's raining?'
Dad answers, 'Son, I am not going out in this weather.'
Despondently, the boy asks, 'Dad, can I go? Please?'
His father hesitated for a moment then said, 'Son, you can go. Here are the tracts, be careful son.'
'Thanks Dad!'
And with that, he was off and out into the rain. This eleven year old boy walked the streets of the town going door to door and handing everybody he met in the street a Gospel Tract .
After two hours of walking in the rain, he was soaking, bone-chilled wet and down to his VERY LAST TRACT. He stopped on a corner and looked for someone to hand a tract to, but the streets were totally deserted.
Then he turned toward the first home he saw and started up the sidewalk to the front door and rang the door bell. He rang the bell, but nobody answered.
He rang it again and again, but still no one answered. He waited but still no answer.
Finally, this eleven year old trooper turned to leave, but something stopped him.
Again, he turned to the door and rang the bell and knocked loudly on the door with his fist. He waited, something holding him there on the front porch!
He rang again and this time the door slowly opened.
Standing in the doorway was a very sad-looking elderly lady. She softly asked, 'What can I do for you, son?' With radiant eyes and a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said, 'Ma'am, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I just want to tell you that * JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU * and I came to give you my very last Gospel Tract which will tell you all about JESUS and His great LOVE..'
With that, he handed her his last tract and turned to leave.
She called to him as he departed. 'Thank you, son! And God Bless You!'
Well, the following Sunday morning in church Pastor Dad was in the pulpit. As the service began, he asked, 'Does anybody have testimony or want to say anything?'
Slowly, in the back row of the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet.
As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face, 'No one in this church knows me. I've never been here before. You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian. My husband passed on some time ago, leaving me totally alone in this world. Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart that I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to live.
So I took a rope and a chair and ascended the stairway into the attic of my home. I fastened the rope securely to a rafter in the roof, then stood on the chair and fastened the other end of the rope around my neck. Standing on that chair, so lonely and broken-hearted I was about to leap off, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me. I thought, 'I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away.'
I waited and waited, but the ringing doorbell seemed to get louder and more insistent, and then the person ringing also started knocking loudly...
I thought to myself again, 'Who on earth could this be? Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me.' I loosened the rope from my neck and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder.
When I opened the door and looked I could hardly believe my eyes, for there on my front porch was the most radiant and angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life. His SMILE, oh, I could never describe it to you!
The words that came from his mouth caused my heart that had long been dead, TO LEAP TO LIFE as he exclaimed with a cherub-like voice, 'Ma'am, I just came to tell you that JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU .' Then he gave me this Gospel Tract that I now hold in my hand.
As the little angel disappeared back out into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly every word of this Gospel Tract. Then I went up to my attic to get my rope and chair. I wouldn't be needing them any more.
You see-- -I am now a Happy Child of the KING.. Since the address of your church was on the back of this Gospel Tract, I have come here to personally say THANK YOU to God's little angel who came just in the nick of time and by so doing, spared my soul from an eternity in hell.'
There was not a dry eye in the church. And as shouts of praise and honour to THE KING resounded off the very rafters of the building, Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated..
He took his son in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably.
Probably no church has had a more glorious moment, and probably this universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love & honour for his son... Except for One.
Blessed are your eyes for reading this message.
Don't let this message die, read it again and pass it to others. Heaven is for His people! Remember, God's message CAN make the difference in the life of someone close to you. Please share this wonderful message...
If you love JESUS, please forward this message. Spread His word, and share His goodness and faithfulness.
Matthew 10:32 says: 'Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before men, I will disown him before My Father in heaven'

hi all miss and love ya wish i could get on more often

Jesus Painter.' love theses pictures of jesus laughing !!!
This is too beautiful to keep, don't you think so too !!!REJOICE IN THE LORD, ALWAYS. AGAIN I SAY REJOICE! just thought you all to know guess hubby didnt have a blood clot !! and grandson biopsy was benign we are thankful to God he does answer prayers !
Very cleverly done in two parts: the prayer ( in blue type ) and GOD ( in red type ) in response. It is very, very good..
WHAT IF THIS REALLY HAPPENED ??? **********
Our Father Who Art In Heaven. Yes? Don't interrupt me. I'm praying. But -- you called ME! Called you? No, I didn't call you. I'm praying. Our Father who art in Heaven. There -- you did it again! Did what? Called ME. You said, "Our Father who art in Heaven" Well, here I am. What's on your mind? But I didn't mean anything by it. I was, you know, just saying my prayers for the day. I always say the Lord's Prayer. It makes me feel good, kind of like fulfilling a duty. Well, all right. Go on. Okay, Hallowed be thy name . . . Hold it right there. What do you mean by that? By what? By "Hallowed be thy name"? It means, it means . . . good grief, I don't know what it means. How in the world should I know? It's just a part of the prayer. By the way, what does it mean? It means honored, holy, wonderful. Hey, that makes sense. I never thought about what 'hallowed' meant before. Thanks. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Do you really mean that? Sure, why not? What are you doing about it? Doing? Why, nothing, I guess. I just think it would be kind of neat if you got control of everything down here like you have up there. We're kinda in a mess down here, you know. Yes, I know; but, have I got control of you? Well, I go to church. That isn't what I asked you. What about your bad temper? You've really got a problem there, you know. And then there's the way you spend your money -- all on yourself. And what about the kind of books you read? Now hold on just a minute! Stop picking on me! I'm just as good as some of the rest of those people at church! Excuse ME. I thought you were praying for my will to be done. If that is to happen, it will have to start with the ones who are praying for it. Like you, for example. Oh, all right. I guess I do have some hang-ups. Now that you mention it, I could probably name some others. So could I. I haven't thought about it very much until now, but I really would like to cut out some of those things. I would like to, you know, be really free. Good. Now we're getting somewhere. We'll work together -- You and ME. I'm proud of you. Look, Lord, if you don't mind, I need to finish up here. This is taking a lot longer than it usually does. Give us this day, our daily bread. You need to cut out the bread. You're overweight as it is. Hey, wait a minute! What is this? Here I was doing my religious duty and all of a sudden you break in and remind me of all my hang-ups. Praying is a dangerous thing. You just might get what you ask for. Remember, you called ME -- and here I am. It's too late to stop now. Keep praying. ( . . pause . . ) Well, go on. I'm scared to. Scared? Of what? I know what you'll say. Try ME. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. What about Ann? See? I knew it! I knew you would bring her up! Why, Lord, she's told lies about me and spread stories. She never paid back the money she owes me. I've sworn to get even with her! But -- your prayer -- What about your prayer? I didn't -- mean it. Well, at least you're honest. But, it's quite a load carrying around all that bitterness and resentment isn't it? Yes, but I'll feel better as soon as I get even with her. Boy, have I got some plans for her. She'll wish she had never been born. No, you won't feel any better. You'll feel worse. Revenge isn't sweet. You know how unhappy you are -- Well, I can change that. You can? How? Forgive Ann. Then, I'll forgive you; And the hate and the sin, will be Ann's problem -- not yours. You will have settled the problem as far as you are concerned. Oh, You know, you're right. You always are. And more than I want revenge, I want to be right with You . . . (sigh). All right, all right. I forgive her. There now! Wonderful! How do you feel? Hmmmm. Well, not bad. Not bad at all! In fact, I feel pretty great! You know, I don't think I'll go to bed uptight tonight. I haven't been getting much rest, You know. Yeah, I know. But, you're not through with your prayer are you? Go on. Oh, all right. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Good! Good! I'll do that. Just don't put yourself in a place where you can be tempted. What do You mean by that? You know what I mean. Yeah, I know. Okay. Go ahead. Finish your prayer. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Do you know what would bring me glory -- What would really make me happy? No, but I'd like to know. I want to please You now. I've really made a mess of things. I want to truly follow You. I can see now how great that would be. So, tell me . . . How do I make You happy? YOU just did. _____________________________
This is worth passing on!
thank you jesus for me to be blessed with all theses beautiful friends i have here at grab they mean so much to me !! Nothing We Can’t Handle
No matter what distressing times I face, When rain and storms replace the sunny weather, When things I counted on fail to sustain me, There’s nothing we can’t handle, Lord, together.
If those I thought were friends act more like foes, If I start to lose the things I hold most dear, I know that I can tell it all to You; You want to listen to me and to hear.
When my earthly world dissolves before my eyes, When problems seem too great for me to bear, You’ll always be there for me, Lord, I know; I can come to you on bended knees in prayer.
It’s such a comfort, Lord, to realize, You’ll always be my King, my Lord, my Friend; To share my burdens, worries, and my cares, You’ll love me and support me to the end

hope all of you having a relaxing labor day !!
Sep 07, 2009 | 2:58PM
Labor Day officially ends summer, As those who work enjoy one final fling. Blessed are those who bear the daily burden, Of whom few savants speak or minstrels sing, Returning to the shallows of September.
Days of ease give way to hours certain, A long routine that wends its way towards winter, Yearning for the promises of spring. well so sorry i didnt get names on these but u may know which one is for who when i do put names on them!!!!! love u all !!
|
The origins of Labor Day are more than a century old.
The first Labor Day parade in New York City was held in September 1982. Two men are credited with playing an important role not only in bringing about the parade but the holiday as well. Matthew Maguire, a machinist from Paterson, N.J., and Peter J. McGuire, a New York City carpenter who helped found the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, are said to have suggested a holiday to honor working people in the United States. In 1887, Oregon became the first state to make Labor Day a legal holiday, and in 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed a bill making Labor Day a national holiday.
Labor Day is observed as a legal holiday on the first Monday in September throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. In Australia, Labor Day is called Eight Hour Day, and it commemorates the successful struggle for a shorter working day. In Europe, Labor Day is observed on May 1, also known as May Day. |

Funny Labor Day Quotes
If all the cars in the United States were placed end to end, it would probably be Labor Day Weekend. Doug Larson Labor Day is a glorious holiday because your child will be going back to school the next day. It would have been called Independence Day, but that name was already taken. Bill Dodds Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold. But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow. Douglas Pagels, "These Are the Gifts I'd Like to Give to You" The only liberty an inferior man really cherishes is the liberty to quit work, stretch out in the sun, and scratch himself. H.L. Mencken The man who doesn't relax and hoot a few hoots voluntarily, now and then, is in great danger of hooting hoots and standing on his head for the edification of the pathologist and trained nurse, a little later on. Elbert Hubbard Man is so made that he can only find relaxation from one kind of labor by taking up another. Anatole France, "The Crime of Sylvestre Bonnard"
