TIED FOR FIRST PLACE, THE STEELERS GO TO BALTIMORE THIS WEEKEND.  BIG BEN IS OUT YET AGAIN....AND AFTER BREAKING HIS HAND ON SUNDAY AGAINST THE BROWNS, CHARLIE BATCH IS OUT ALSO.  SO THE STARTER THIS WEEK WILL BE MADDUX.  I ONLY HOPE HE CAN DO BETTER THIS GAME THEN HIS LAST GAME.  HOPEFULLY BIG BEN IS READY AGAINT THE COLTS, AND MAYBE WE CAN END THERE UNDEFEATED SEASON.  STEELERS DID IT LAST SEASON AGAINT TWO TEAMS...THE EAGLES AND PATRIOTS.  SO IF THEY BEAT THE BENGELS ON SUNDAY...THEN HOPEFULLY PITTSBURGH WINS THEM ON MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL IN TWO WEEKS.  REMEMBER COLTS MAYBE UNDEFEATED IN THERE SEASON, BUT THE STEELERS ARE 11-0 ON MONDAY NIGHT GAME....WHO WILL KEEP AN UNDEFEATED STREAK GOING ON??

WITH BIG BEN OUT, THE STEELERS HAD TO USE BACKUP QB CHARLIE BATCH.  HE HAD ONLY 65YARDS IN THE GAME.  WITH THE RETURN OF DUCE STALEY, THE STEELERS WENT ON TO BEAT THE PACKERS 20-10.  THE DEFENSE FINALLY STEPPED UP IN THIS GAME AND THEY HELPED STOP FAVRE AND HELP HIM TO ONLY ONE TD.  TROY POLAMALU RETURED A FUMBLE FOR 77YARDS TO SCORE A TD.  AND THANKS TO CARTER INTERCEPTING FAVRE, THE STEELERS MOVED THE BALL UP AND STALEY SCORED HIS FIRST TD OF THE SEASON.

LETS SEE,  BIG BEN HAS ONLY 2INTS THIS SEASON SO FAR W/ 11 TD'S, FOR ONLY BEING IN HIS SECOND YEAR, THE MAN IS GREAT.  I SAY GIVE HIM ANOTHER YEAR OR TWO, AND HE CAN BE ONE OF THE GREAT QB'S WE HAVE EVER SEEN.    WITH THE HELP OF WARD CATCHING 8 PASSES AND MILLER TWO TD'S, STEELERS WERE ABLE TO PULL OFF A VICTORY AGAINST THE RAVENS.  PARKER RAN FOR ABOUT 60 OR 70 YARDS AND THE "D" STOPPED THEM WITH 28 SECONDS LEFTED IN THE 4TH QUARTER TO WIN BY ONLY 1 POINT, 20-19.  I SAY THEY NEED TO PLAY DEFENSE STRONGER, CUZ NEXT WEEK THEY GOT THE FAVRE AND THE PACKERS TO DEAL WITH.  IF THERE "D" CAN STOP THEM AND BIG BEN CAN PASS THE BALL, PARKER AND THE BUS CAN RUN IT, THEN WE MAY PULL IT OFF AGAINST THEM.

THANK YOU FOR COMING BACK BEN.  WE MISSED YOU!!!  Now the Steelers prvoed to the Bengels that they are the better team.  And with Roethlisberger return on Sunday, he helped carry them to a victory.  Steelers are now a half game behind the Bengels and will face the Ravens next Monday night on Holloween.  So all you kids better stay away from my house, cuz Im going to be busy watching the game and I want no interuptions!!! 

The first thing I wanna say is, Maddox, no wonder you lost starting QB.  After seeing you play Sunday, that was the worst job ever.  Man, threw an interception in OT to lose the game.  Man your a QB, you are supposed to look for the open man on your team, not the other.  3 interceptons in 1 game, man b-4 you, the Steelers had no interceptions in the season.  With the final score being 23-17, Maddox was booed in Pittsburgh.  And  I am glad he was, if I was there I would have done the samething to him.  Lets hope that Big Ben is well enough to play against the number 1 team in there division the Bengels, and take a victory.  Ben, get back and hope you return REAL soon.  And Ward, man I hope you can get better too, cuz you are the number 1 target out there for Ben, and you are them team player.

Talk about a great game.  There was a lot of hard hitting and about to throw down up in San Diego.  Troy Polamalu is an awsome Safety.  He was playing some great Defense and did you see when he kicked, I beleive it was Parker.  He knocked him out of bounds and then Troy kicked him, some funny stuff.  But with under a minute to go, my boy Big Ben suffered a nasty hit to the knee.  And his MRI today shows he suffered a hyper-knee-extension.  Which sucks, cuz if he doesn't play this week, Charlie Batch is the next QB.  Props to Jeff Reed for hitting the field goal with 10secs left to win it for the Steelers.  Oh, and welcome back Jerome "The Bus" Bettis.  He played his first game last night of the season and got 54 yards on 17 carries and one touchdown.

I have to say, yesterdays cam against the freaking Patriots was bad.  The defense was off to a good start, but the second half, they were playing horrible.  They were slacking off way too much and they shouldn't have done that against the Pats.  Then, what the HELL is Randel El thinking!!???  I mean, you dont stop to pitch the ball back, keep on running and let Hines make a block for you.  You have got to think when your out there, your in the Pros now.  But I knew it would go down to a last minute field goal, and of course, it had to be the Pats.  Steelers, learn from the mistakes you made, cuz they were lots of them.  And on this bye week, you get your act together and on Monday, Oct 10th, you go into San Diego and kick the Changers ass on Monday Night. 

WELL, THE STEELER WON THERE SECOND STIGHT GAME AND ARE 2-0.  YET AGAIN, THANKS TO BIG BEN, FAST WILLIE PARKER, AND HINES WARD.  AND THE DEFENSE WAS GREAT IN THIS GAME.  27-7 WAS THE FINAL SCORE AGAINST HOUSTON.  BUT NEXT WEEK COMES THE BIG TEST, CAN THEY DEFEAT THE PATRIOTS AT HINEZ FIELD?
