Week #8
Jun 02, 2008 | 12:37PM
Monday: Did Fit TV with Gilad for 1 hour. Did 20 minutes myself before. Then did another 20 minutes of cardio after lunch. Did this new thing called a mountain climber series. Pretty neat. You are in the push up position and you bring one knee in at a time for ten reps, then cross knee to other elbow back and forth for 10 reps, then take knee to same elbow, then do push up. 3x 10 reps. Then do one of each together 10 times. That is one hard work out. Plan to do another 20 minute cardio around 5:00.

Tuesday: Did Fit TV Bahngra Dance for an hour. Wow that was lots of fun and lots of sweating.
Did crunches: 30 regular 15 for each side and then 15 for each side with knees coming up. Also did beg raises laying on the floor-20.
Seated leg raises-50
Seated waist twists-5 minutes
Arms and shoulders- with 3 pound weights
curls-10 reps 3x
press-10 reps 3x
shoulder raises-10 reps 3x
Wed: Day off. Did a few crunches and cardio for about 15 minutes. Seated waist twists for 5 minutes. Not a whole lot.
Thursday: Did Gilad on Fit TV for an hour. Worked abs, arms/shoulders, outer thighs with squats and lunges, hamstrings, and triceps. Did 35 minutes of cardio. Also did mountain climber series, 3 x for 10 reps. Ugh does that hurt. Inner thighs and seated waist spins for 5 minutes.
Friday: Gilad on Fit TV for 30 minutes. Included cardio shoulders abs. Also did leg lifts- 25 and seated waist twists for 5 minutes. Was not very motivated to work out today. Had to make myself do it today. Maybe I will try to do more later today. Just not into it today I guess.

week #7
May 26, 2008 | 8:54PM
Monday: Didn't do the videos but rearranged the living room. That took about 3 hours. And lugging that hidabed couch around the living room a few times, was work out enough. Wow!!!
Tuesday: Did an hour of slowrobics. Don't let the name fool ya. That stuff is a hard work out. Lots of dancer moves, with pilates worked into it. Did another half hour of regular aerobics and kick boxing on my own. Felt very motivated today. Drank LOTS of water.
Wed: Day off. At school.
Thursday: Did a really light day. Only did about 20 minutes of aerobics on my own. Just had a blah day for exercising. Was to excited about the girl's Spring Concert at school.
Friday: Did Fit TV: Gilad's for an hour. And did about 15 minutes on my own before it started. Feeling a bit more motivated today to work out.
Saturday: Went hiking with the family. Went to the preserve and hiked about 3 miles in back woods terain. It was beautiful. Did about 2 of it with the boy in my arms. Nothing like lugging 30 pounds for 2 miles.

Sunday: Fit TV with Gilad for an hour. Legs, glutes, chest, arms and abs. Lots of aerobics. Then vacuumed and shampooed the carpets. We also went for a family walk. It was a too much of a beautiful day not to. Walked for about a mile total. And of course the boy couldn't walk for some reason, so I wound up carring him 3/4 of the way. Gees he is heavy. And he refused to go to any one but Mommy. Figures.

week #6
May 19, 2008 | 1:12PM
Monday: Well we are at the beginning of another week of working out and losing weight... So today I did an hour of Gilad's bodies in motion and strength training. Wheeew!! Did some cardio on my own after lunch to burn off some extra calories. The ankle is feeling pretty good too.
Went to the Dr. today too. I really don't like that man much anymore. Pokes and measures...Grrrrr. But what do ya do? Had the ankle looked at. Since it was so tender to the touch he had xrays taken...It's fine. I could have told him that. Grrr! Why don't they listen. If it was broken I wouldn't be walkin. But speakin of which...I got weighed....Lost a pound....But I also lost an inch. He was happy with that. Was happy with the pound when he saw that the stuff is moving around and toning. So I got him to put off that prescription for weight loss meds. YEAHHH!!! I really don't want to take those things if I don't have to.
Tuesday: Did the All Star workout with Fit TV. Did the kickboxing one. LOL Surprising I know. LOL. It was an hour long. Whewww those people are crazy. It was lots of fun though. It feels really good to be able to do stuff again. Still have to take it a bit easy though for the ankle. But it is getting there. Hopefully shortly I will be able to do the long walks again. But I am afraid that the ankle will give between here and there. And that is just scary with kids. Soooo, I will wait. Maybe next week.
I am upping my stuff. I will be doing my regular workouts with Fit TV, but I will also throughout the day be doing seated crunches as I sit here. 20 reps front, 40 to the sides for obliques and spins. Also will be doing leg lifts as I sit here too. Figure workout and play at the same time. Best of both worlds.
Stay off that scale. Here is the guard

Wednesday: I normally take this day off...But this time I'm not this time. Did a 45 minutes of aerobics. Figure go low since it is an extra day. Doing abs and some light weight lifting for the arms.
Thursday: Did a half hour with GIlad on Fit TV. Then did another 45 minutes of aerobics on my own of kickboxing. I am hooked on that stuff. It's just lots of fun once you figure it out. Then did 15 minutes of yoga for stretching out after. Boy did that strectch feel soooo good.

And this is what I plan to do later.......
Friday: Well I attempted to work out today. Got in about 20 minutes of warm up and aerobics then....the wonderful boy....fell and whomped his noggin on the side of the chair. So had to comfort and console. Now he has a big ole bump by his eye where he whomped it good. And after about 15-20 minutes I was in no way a mood to exercise. But then it does not break my heart as I did the extra day on Wed. Was going to try to take the whole weekend off, but hey things happen. Did get to do some stuff today, so wasn't a total waste. Just wish I could have done more. Maybe if I catch the spirit again later I will do stuff. We will see.
Saturday: Did 45 minutes of aerobics this morning. Danced around the living room with the kids...They are too much fun. Will be going for about a mile walk here shortly with the kids. Hope the ankle holds out!!! Also going to rearrange the living room furniture. That will be fun, as we have a hida bed couch. Stinking thing weighs like 400 pounds, I swear. Here is to that wonderful loooonggggggg weekend. Hope you enjoy it. Happy Memorial Day weekend.
Sunday: Went to the zoo today. WOW!!! Forgot the boys stroller, so when I wasn't carring him, I was chasing him. Nothing like lugging around 30 pounds for about 2 miles, and running for the other mile. He is a crazy child. Got a good work out out of it though.

week #5
May 14, 2008 | 3:40PM
Monday-Wednesday: Haven't been able to do too much yet. Have been doing some ab stuff and arms. Did some inner thigh stuff today, but still hard to flex the foot with the whole ankle thing. Did do a short walk the other day though. Did my ankle exersises today. Hopefully I can have it going again soon. I can almost walk normal.YEAHHHH!!! Here is to being able to fully exersise soon.
Good Luck all!!!
Thursday: YEAHH!!!! I got to do some exersise today. WOOO HOOO. HAPPY DANCE!!!! I did light areobisc as to get heart rate up but not hurt that ankle. Was soooo nice. Did some good iceing for the ankle after too. Will try to do it again tomorrow, but will stay light, no hurting myself, I know. LOL
Firday: Did an hour of aerobics. Did it light as to not aggrivate the ankle. It is getting lots better. Still hurts if I over do it but I can almost walk normal...YEAH!!! Had the heart rate up..felt real nice to be able to do stuff again. Did some arm and chest exersises too. Did the ABC ab thingies. WHEWWW Did lots. Hopefully it did its trick and the pounds are coming off. Will be able to do more stuff before we know it. Going to try to do the walking to school thing next week...No promises though...All depends on the ankle.

Saturday: Did aerobics today. Just on my own to get the heart rate up. Did this for about an hour...YEAH!!!! Did some weight trainging for the arms. Did the ABC ab workout. Whewwww that gets some burn going. Did some squats for ankle rehab, and did the bands for resistance and mobility for it. The ankle is getting there. As I am sitting at this computer and playing games I am doing the leg lifties and seated crunches and seated obliques, 20 reps of each for 3 sets. Wow what a good workout today.
Sunday: This would normally be my other day off, but since I need to make up for missing days before....Did Kick, Punch, and Crunch from fit tv. Wow that woman is nuts!!! I modified some of the kicking and jumping as for the ankle, but otherwise did the whole darn thing. Whewww!! Loved being able to do the kickboxing again. Felt really nice. Till I got the the ab part and stretching and the boy launched himself on.....the ankle. Its ok just a little sore again. Go figure. Did abs in the chair to finish. The leggie lifts, seated crunches and obliques. 3 sets with 25 reps. I also have to do the ankle training/therapy later to get the ankle good and strong again.

Week #4
May 05, 2008 | 7:57AM
Monday: Its the begining of another workout week....How did your's go? Mine has started well. Ate a good healthy breakfast..YAAA. Did some cardio kickboxing. Going to look into getting some longer videos for this. I seem to like it a lot. It is lots of fun. Did some chest and tricep exersises. And ended with some ab work. Did the ABC ab thingies. Those I am still getting the hang of. Trying to make sure I don't hurt myself with them. LOL. Seems like it would be easy to throw out your back if they are not really controlled. But it is off to a great start. Lets get them pounds off!!!!
Tuesday: Did some cardio and chest, triceps, and abs. Worked out good and hard. Felt good. Can't seem to make it to the Dr. to get that pesky weight weighed. But what do ya do? I guees I need to get a scale of my own. If I can find one.
Wednesday: Day off. Going to help in the girls class room. Going to school : )
Thursday: Well here goes the bad news.....I hurt the ankle again. GREAT!!! It is throbbing and hurting pretty bad. It's not broken..Thankfully...I think. But it is huge and bruised. Not even suppose to be on it, but I have 2 kids, so we will see how well that works. So I will be sticking with crunches and upper body stuff, This just freakin sucks. It's so discouraging. It's like it never fails that when I get off to a good start, BOOM, ankle sets it back. I am so angry about this right now. And all I wanted to do was take out the recycling. Wanted to do my part. But I guess some higher power had a different idea about that one. Well I'm going to rest today and hopefully it will help. Since pain meds don't....Good Luck to you all.
Friday: Since the leg is bad again...I didn't get to do my cardio... Bummer. But I did some chest and arm resistance training. Also did crunches. Did some of the leg lift things sitting here at the desk. Those are a lot harder than one would think they are. At least I can still do some stuff. Wish I could do the cardio kickboxing...But that will come again at some point.
The ankle as some more function to it. I can move it up and down somewhat. Better than yesterday. Some of the pain is subsiding....YAAAAA!!!!! Still keeping it wrapped and air casted, and lots of iceing time. Waiting for the swelling to go down to start trying the excersise bands and get some strength built back up and movement going. There is a long road ahead for it again. But thankfully have done the physical therapy before, so I know what to do to help it get good and strong. Hopefully it will be a long time before I do this again...or ever for that matter.
Have a happy wonderful weekend.

Week 3
Apr 29, 2008 | 8:03AM
Monday: Took it easy today. Just did some crunches and arm stuff. Letting ankle rest still. Little puffy and bruised, but I can walk normal. So that is a bonus.
Tuesday: Took it light but tried some cardio. Did mostly walking in place and squats and lunges. Did them nice and slow and controled as to not hurt the ankle, seemed to do okay. Lets see how it feels later. Did some bicep curls and mostly ab stuff. Crunches, twists, bends, and in a bit going to do the weighted ABC ab thingies. Normally Tuesdays are the days I do the 2 mile walk to get the girl and back, but with the ankle, that's not going to happen today. Bummer, I like that walk. But I got to heal.
Wednesday: Off for today. Putting the foot up and letting it heal some more.
Thursday: Started with slowrobics. Figured that way there was no jumping and it was better controlled for the ankle. Felt good. Was harder than I thought it would be. Did some pilates for abs. Wow some of those moves are hard. Did some wonderful stretches. Did some chest workouts and the ABC ab thingie. Whewww Feels good to be able to do all the stuff again.
Still taking it easy on the ankle as to not hurt it more or again. But it does feel lots better. Got the full range of motion back. Just a touch tender on some movements. So I modify those a bit. Since I did the slowrobics I am not going to walk to get the girl. I think it would be too much for the ankle. Hope to get back to that. I really miss it already. Its such a wonderful walk.:(
Friday: Not sure what I did, but the ankle has puffed back out again. Doesn't hurt any more or less than before, but it is a bit larger. Maybe I over did something or turned just right and didn't know it. But just going to do abs and a bit of arms today. The ABC ab thingies and some curls and press. If it goes down I might try something tomorrow. This is really beginning to SUCK!!!!!!! :(
Sunday: We went to the zoo. I walked lots. About a total of 4 miles if not more. Chased the boy lots. So I got some running in too. LOL Was nice. Beautiful day today.

Week #2
Apr 21, 2008 | 10:23AM
Monday: 25 minutes of cardio kickboxing...OUCH!!! Feels good though. Did some stuff specifically for abs. I think those hurt more than anything. LOL But what do ya do...You want nice abs got to work a bit. But remember what they say...It's not how much you do, it's doing it the right way that will make it do stuff. Your abs actually strengthen during the resting after you work them. They say you really should only do focus work on abs about 3 times a week. That way they can strengthen and do what you want while they are resting. Wow what a concept...muscles that get stronger during the resting period...YEA!!!!!
Tuesday: Did my excersise video, kickboxing, and resistance training, then more cardio and more weight traing. Wow I was tired. Then got the boy in the stroller and walked down to get the girl from school and back...about a 2 mile walk. And now I am in need of a nap. But....The kids wont let me. So off to do more stuff. I might do the cardio kickboxing again later. I have way to much fun with that. LOL
Wed: Day off. YEAH!!!

or is this more your style
AHHHHHHHH
Thursday: OH MAN I THINK I'M INSANE!!!!!! Did cardio kickboxing again. Seem to really like that. LOL. What do ya do? Ya do what ya like. Then did squats, squat pleeas (the ballet move). Did abs and they are SORE!!!! YEAAA!!! Then did resistance weight training of chest and arms. And now I am going to put the boy in the stroller and walk down for a mile to get the girl and walk that mile back. AHHHHH THE INSANITY!!!!!!!!!!! Then tonight I get to go help fight to save our gym teacher...AAAHHHHHH My girl's favorite teacher. Here is to the good fight. Keep working wheight whackkkerrrrrssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have come to a conclusion...... I am completely insane. The workout I did today...Oh my goodness. My legs hurt, my arms hurt, and I need a nap now.

OK I have a question...hopefully someone can answer me.....Why have I all of a sudden been getting the hiccups so often? What is going on? It is making me angry. I don't like them. They are hard painful ones. GGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
Friday: I'm sore from all the leg stuff yesterday. Think I had a nonsanity day with working out. LOL. What do ya do? So I took it a bit light today. Did my cardio kickboxing and some weight traing. Did my abs stuff too. And now I get to go shopping...YEAAAA!!!
Happy Friday all!!
Saturday: Well today just freaking sucks!!!! We were going to go to the zoo, but it looked like rain, so we didn't. Not so bad......but.....chasing the boy through the house and up the stairs, rounded the landing, stepped up and....crunch pop snap...I say a few choice words. Needless to say it is swollen and I can't feel much in my last three toes. My foot hurts and tingles all at the same time. My ankle is swollen and pounding at me. Have done this before. It is the weakness in my ankle from being hurt when I was younger. I have an over stretched ligament, so I have to deal with this forever. GREAT, just what I wanted. So some of my workouts have been cut. Will be able to do some upper body stuff and abs, but the kickboxing stuff will have to be put on hold. GRRRR And I was having fun with that. Figures. If it is still bothering me lots on Mon. I will go to doctor, but lets hope that doesn't have to happen.

weight loss
Apr 13, 2008 | 9:39AM
I have been wanting to drop some pounds for a bit now. Would like to shed about 50 but 10 will do for a good start. I need to loss some weight to stop the medical issues from starting. I have a family history of things starting from being heavy. If I can loss the pounds maybe I wont get some of the same issues my family has had.
I have started by doing portion control. I am trying to stay at or under 1800 calories. Drink lots of water, and excersise atleast 4 times a week at atleast 30 minutes, longer if I can. I try to do more if I get the chance, but I do have 2 kids, so I do as much as I can.
Here is to all of you trying to drop some pounds. Good luck in your hard work. Any questions or any support, just ask. I will help as much as possible. Lets go weight loss.
WEEK 1---
Monday: Ok today sucked. I did my work out and 35 minutes into it my calves tightened and then just started to cramp. So I got some water and stretched so I could try to go on, and nope didnt happen. They hurt so bad it was rediculous. I tried again later in the day to no prevail. So I decided to be happy with what I was able to do in the morning. I was soo angry. So tomorrow I will be drinking lots more water before I excersise to see if that was the issue or was I just not stretched enough before or what. Will try again.
Tuesday: Yeah worked out today. Did some aerobics, light ones. Then walked and pushed stroller for a mile to get the girl from school and walked the mile to the gas station, so she could have some candy, and a mile and a half back. YEAH!!!!! Feels good. Tomorrow is my day off. YEAH!!! LOL YAA excersise!!
Thursday: Did kickboxing for cardio today for about 25 minutes. Then walked to pick up the girl from school. Got to push the stroller for 2 miles. Yeahhhhh!!!! It is sooo beautiful outside, we might go for another walk. If nothing else, I will be outside running with the kids.
Friday: Kickboxing and resistance training. Ouch I'm sore, but in a good way. Then did my good deed....gave blood today. My girls school had a blood drive. Yeahhh!!!!! So I get to have extra sugar today!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO!!
Saturday: Feeling funny from giving blood. Nothing bad, just off. Will take today off.
Sunday: Still a bit off. Will start back up on Monday.

Things to think about in 2008

Ten Thoughts to Ponder for 2008
Number 10
Life is sexually transmitted.
Number 9
Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.
Number 8
Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If you see him without an erection, make him a sandwich.
Number 7
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day, teach a person to use the internet and they won't bother you for weeks.
Number 6
Some people are like a Slinky .. Not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.
Number 5
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Number 4
All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.
Number 3
Why does a slight tax increase cost you $200.00 and a substantial tax cut saves you $30.00?
Number 2
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.
And The Number 1 Thought For 2008
We know exactly where one cow with mad-cow-disease is located among millions and millions of cows in America but we haven't got a clue as to where millions of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located. Maybe we should put the Dept. of Agriculture in charge of Immigration.
