Apr 6, 2007 8:52 PM A POEM ABOUT OUR GIRLFRIENDS......... Someone will always be prettier. Some will always be smarter. Some of their houses will be bigger. Some will drive a better car. Their children will do better in school. And their husband will fix more things around the house. So let it go, and love you and your circumstances. Think about it! The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart. And the most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children. And the richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes.... might be lonely. And the word says, "If I have not Love, I am nothing." So, again, love you. Love who you are. Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say, "I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed, to be disappointed!" "Winners make things happen-- Losers let things happen." Be "blessed" ladies.... and pass this on to encourage another woman "To the world you might be one person, but to the one person you just sent this to, it could mean so much." ! life is getting better each day!! been having a blast the last few weeks doing not much but staying busy!! i have my grandson ethan almost everyday which is fine with me cause he is the  light of my life and reason to get up and he and i have been working in the garden each day and boy is that work i took off the summer to get a break after such a tough winter and all that has happened since nov but i think this is really hard work, usually kevin does it but since he works out of town during the week "he said take a break and take the summer off and enjoy working on the garden and spending time with ethan and i thought wow great but now i find working 2 full time job's is easier than the garden(lol) but still having a great summer so far. well thats all for now just wanted to say hello to all and let ya know life is getting easier yeaaaaa          luv and hugs tammy

He Was A Friend Of Mine

He sleeps with angels now.
There his rest is as long as time.
I remember him with a smile he was a friend of mine.
Our time spent together was so very breif.
And now I am left with so much greif.
I miss his laughter his hugs his smile.
He was a friend of mine.
He said we were forever friends. That not even death would keep us apart.
But then came the night he was taken away, I thought I
had died my heart torn apart.
He visits me on quiet nights.
I hear his voice in the wind that blows.
I see his smile in the stars a glow.
I feel his hugs it is him I know.
Because he was a friend of mine.
And swore we would be for all time.

 

I felt the light of heaven
it was shining down on me,
I heared His Voice, He called my name,
"My child, come follow me,"
There is no pain, there is no hurt
nor sadness anywhere,
In heaven there is joy and love
and I'll be waiting there;
For on the day I left this earth
I felt your many tears,
And now I watch you from above
and keep you very near;
It hurts to be apart from me, but
be patient for the day,
When we meet again in love and peace
when you too come this way.

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me,
for now I'm free.
I could not stay another day
to laugh, to love, to work or play.

Goodbye Papaw by Shawna Lester Today something happened that I thought never would. I wish it could be undone, oh, if it only could. I realize the memories I've made will be all there is. My papaw's memories, mine and his. See, my papaw passed away today and will never be back. And now it's moments with him that I will sadly lack. He won't be here to see me get my license or my car. See me go to prom or graduate, because he is so far. But I know he's in a better place. He resides in Heaven, and is surrounded by God's grace. Now he can watch over me throughout the night and day. And I can pretend that he's not really away. He can stay with me in a place inside my heart. And of me, he can still be a part.                                                         This was written for my grandson who lost his pawpaw.
