Letter from Jesus about Christmas
It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season. How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Now, having said that, let Me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting My birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn. If all My followers did that, there wouldn't be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town. Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching, explaining who I am in relation to you and what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one, look up John 15: 1 - 8. If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth here is my wish list. Choose something from it:
1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know they tell Me all the time. 2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them. 3. Instead of writing the President complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write and tell him that you'll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up ... It will be nice hearing from you again. 4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can't afford and they don't need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of My birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love them. 5 Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her. 6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless? Since you don't know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile; it could make the difference. 7. Instead of nit-picking about what the retailer in your town calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren't allowed to wish you a "Merry Christmas" that doesn't keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday If the store didn't make so much money on that day, they'd close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families 8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary, especially one who takes My love and Good News to those who have never heard My name. 9. Here's a good one. There are individuals and whole families in your town who not only will have no "Christmas" tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don't know them, buy some food and a few gifts and give them to the Salvation Army or some other charity which believes in Me and they will make the delivery for you. 10. Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief in and loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don't do things in secret that you wouldn't do in My presence. Let people know by your actions that you are one of mine. Don't forget; I am God and can take care of Myself. Just love Me and do what I have told you to do. I'll take care of all the rest. Check out the list above and get to work; time is short. I'll help you, but the ball is now in your court. And do have a most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love.

Dorothy and Edna
Nov 22, 2009 | 12:04PM
Dorothy and Edna, two 'senior' widows, are talking.
Dorothy: 'That nice Joe Johnson asked me out for a date. I know you went out with him last week, and I wanted to talk with you about him before I give him my answer.'
Edna: 'Well, I'll tell you. He shows up at my apartment punctually at 7 P.M., dressed like such a gentleman in a fine suit, and he brings me such beautiful flowers! Then he takes me downstairs, and what's there but a luxury car...A limousine, uniformed chauffeur and all. Then he takes me out for dinner..... A marvelous dinner... Lobster, champagne, dessert, and after-dinner drinks. Then we go see a show. Let me tell you, Dorothy, I enjoyed it so much I could have just died from pleasure! So then we are coming back to my apartment and he turns into an ANIMAL. Completely crazy, he tears off my expensive new dress and has his way with me two times!'
Dorothy: 'Goodness gracious!... So you are telling me I shouldn't go out with him?'
Edna: 'No, no, no... I'm just saying, wear an old dress.'

HI! ready for some laughs?
Nov 19, 2009 | 4:54PM
The boss walked into the office one morning not knowing his zipper was down and his fly area wide open. His assistant walked up to him and said, 'This morning when you left your house, did you close your garage door?' The boss told her he knew he'd closed the garage door, and walked into his office puzzled by the question. As he finished his paperwork, he suddenly noticed his fly was open, and zipped it up. He then understood his assistant's question about his 'garage door.' He headed out for a cup of coffee and paused by her desk to ask, 'When my garage door was open, did you see my Hummer parked in there?' She smiled and said, 'No, I didn't. All I saw was an old minivan with two flat tires.'
An elderly gentleman... Had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100% The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, 'Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again.' The gentleman replied, 'Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times!'
Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says: 'Slim, I'm 83 years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?' Slim says, 'I feel just like a newborn baby.' 'Really!? Like a newborn baby!?' 'Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants.'
An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen. The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, 'Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly.' The other man said, 'What is the name of the restaurant?' The first man thought and thought and finally said, 'What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... The one that's red and has thorns.' 'Do you mean a rose?' 'Yes, that's the one,' replied the man. He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, 'Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?'
Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital. After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator. On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him. 'I don't know,' he said. 'She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.'
Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair 'Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?' he asks. 'Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?' 'Sure.' 'Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?' she asks. 'No, I can remember it.' 'Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so's not to forget it?' He says, 'I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries.. ' 'I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?' she asks. Irritated, he says, 'I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!' Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, The old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs. She stares at the plate for a moment. 'Where's my toast ?'
A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy: 'So I hear you're getting married?' 'Yep!' 'Do I know her?' 'Nope!' 'This woman, is she good looking?' 'Not really.' 'Is she a good cook?' 'Naw, she can't cook too well.' 'Does she have lots of money?' 'Nope! Poor as a church mouse.' 'Well, then, is she good in bed?' 'I don't know.' 'Why in the world do you want to marry her then?' 'Because she can still drive!'
Three old guys are out walking. First one says, 'Windy, isn't it?' Second one says, 'No, it's Thursday!' Third one says, 'So am I. Let's go get a beer.'
A man was telling his neighbor, 'I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art. It's perfect.' 'Really,' answered the neighbor . 'What kind is it?' 'Twelve thirty.'
Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical. A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm. A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, 'You're really doing great, aren't you?' Morris replied, 'Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.'' The doctor said, 'I didn't say that. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur; be careful.'
One more. . .!
A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool.. After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split. The waitress asked kindly, 'Crushed nuts?' 'No,' he replied, 'Arthritis.'

SMILE DAY, Pass It On
Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too I passed around the corner, and someone saw my grin When he smiled I realized, I'd passed it on to him I thought about that smile, then realized it's worth A single smile, just like mine, could travel 'round the earth So if you feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected Let's start an epidemic, quick, and get the world infected

Smiley faces
Nov 15, 2009 | 12:41PM
~ Smiley Faces ~

Who here use the smiley face... when you write a mail? Some use them all the time, to show just how they feel
They express our pleasure, and our sadness too
They can say hello, or they say bye to you!
I don't understand at all, I am so confused
I feel green with envy..or drooling over you
You're a angel....here's a kiss, a wink for extra measure
Hey there cowboy, how you been? What would be your pleasure?
The one that really makes my day, to show how much you care, is the smiley guy that bows and says a little prayer!
That one doesn't work on here, so I will use instead A little Nun who says a prayer, while she bows her head

I use these smiley faces, as often as the next They help to bring the human touch, and bring alive the text!

Christmas Past
Nov 15, 2009 | 9:32AM
Looking Back at Christmas Past
I get occasionally sad and quite reminiscent when thinking of Christmases past. The joy that I held when quite prepubescent felt like it would most assuredly last.
The wide-eyed excitement just took me over, anticipation sure tied me in knots. Packages wrapped in red or green as clover engendered such astonishing thoughts.
The smell of the kitchen and holiday pies could make the sane heart skip a beat. Mother knew the look in everyone’s eyes standing guard ‘til ‘twas time to eat.
Downtown was bustling, there was no internet, shopping was done in person, with cash. The world of plastic convenience wasn’t prevalent yet, ‘twas much harder to do something rash.
The Christmas tree didn’t come in a big box with instructions how to fit it together. The mantle was displaying a variety of socks, mostly woolies to ward off the weather.
Christmas miracles really do happen when surrounded by the ones who hold the top spots in your heart. You can almost feel lightness after reindeer have bounded from your rooftop, the rest of their rounds to start.
The thing I miss most is the family gathered near and the special love that shown over all. I’m so thankful that these memories are so clear, sadly, I now touch them with a phone call

Dance in the rain

How to Dance in the Rain
It was a busy morning, about 8:30 , when an elderly gentleman in his 80's arrived at the hospital to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.
While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health.
He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late.
He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?'
He smiled As he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't know me, But I still know who she is.' I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought,
'That is the kind of love I want in my life.'
True love is neither Physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be. With all the jokes and fun that are in e-mails, sometimes there is one that comes along that has an important message. This one I thought I could share with you. The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; They just make the best Of everything they have. I hope you share this with someone you care about. I just did. 'Life isn't about how to survive the storm, But how to dance in the rain.

A Prayer for my friends
Nov 13, 2009 | 7:28PM
A prayer For My Friends
Last night I wrote a friendship prayer To let all my friends know that I care
I prayed for all my friends near and far Each one of you know, who you are
One of the best blessings we can receive Is to have a faithful friend,One we can believe
We must have trust in our friends ,Like god above I feel I`ve been blessed with true friendship and love
Now as I wrote this special little friendship prayer I wrote special prayers for my friends everywhere
I prayed to God, To bless your day To send special blessings your way
I prayed for your safety,And for your health I also prayed he blessed you with wealth
I prayed for the sun to shine , Just for you And for happiness in every thing you do
I prayed for all your friends and families too My dear friends I prayed , May God bless you
Then I added a little thank you to God above For blessing my life with my special friends love

Run Turkey
Nov 13, 2009 | 7:14PM
Run Turkey, Run
Run Turkey, Run For goodness sake Man is out with a gun Not just for fun But to roast you 'til done For a place of honor at head of the table The best Thanksgiving dinner to make.
Seek to hide the best you can For man is out to find The biggest, plumpest of your kind And chop off your head Pluck your feathers Take our your innards And stuff with filling made of cornbread Then into the oven To roast golden brown For the finest dinner around.
We will be thankful for the provision God made for our blessing Remembering the sacrifice you made For our nourishment this holiday. I am grateful Mr. Turkey, my friend, But sorry your life had to end.

Thanksgiving
Nov 13, 2009 | 7:10PM
Our Family Thanksgiving Holiday!
The weather outside is getting cool, and I love the changing of the seasons~ Because as the leave turn different colors and then fall, they are so beautiful... And we are busy planning a delicious meal to celebrate Thanksgiving, And it is miraculous to watch the change made my God, who is ever, for us, so thoughtful! Pumpkins grow in the fields and they are of many sizes, both great and small~ To be used for decorations or baking a pie, and we will be so hungry we will eat it all.. We will have to go out in the country to Mrs. Johnson's farm and we will visit her kitchen that is always warm, She grows cranberries out in her bog and we will want some for Thanksgiving dinner, And served with the big turkey and dressing we will have, this dish will be a winner! My granddaughter is a lovely cook and she loves to make the fruit salad and it is so good~ She also wants to make an oatmeal pie, and perhaps an apple pie would be very good... I will fill the punch bowl up and serve a very special punch, and I will make sure there is enough for the whole bunch, And we will serve it with the cookies we have made with the nuts that give it a lovely crunch! Add to all this wondrous meal will be a very special kind of coffee, made especially delicious when we pass it around with Grandma's Thanksgiving toffee~ And as always, before we eat our Thanksgiving meal, we will bow our heads and offer to God a special prayer~ And we will offer up our thanks for all the goodies we have here... Our family will all be gathered together for this wonderful holiday, And we will be so very happy together and be very thankful we have this wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Good Morning
Nov 07, 2009 | 10:08PM
Good Morning!
As I awoke this morning you were on my mind so I'm sending fondest wishes of the bestest kind
While sipping fresh brewed coffee daydreaming comes alive pretending we're together sitting side by side
Chatting 'cross the table 'bout things old and new laughing, being silly like we always do
Giggling just like children having loads of fun memory banks wide open forgetting, not a one
Flipping thru lifes pages reflecting back in time stories keep on flowing like a written rhyme
Since we're not together have many miles between cyber hugs and kisses I send to you, my friend
Try to keep on smiling I'll surely do the same 'til face to face, united together once again
Remember that I love you our friendship, very dear tears fall in my coffee wishing you were here

Coffee Time

Coffee Time
Let's have some coffee. A cup or two! I cannot start my day, without just a few.
First thing in the morning is when I need it most. Some times with my morning toast. I like columbian the dark roast.
Package coffee just doesn't do it for me. I buy the beans so it's as fresh as can be. I am fussy when it comes to my coffee. I just can't imagine my life with out it you see.
Come on over for a cup or two It's a great way to start your day, I must say! :) ~

BEAUTIFUL ROSES

Like a butterfly's wing blowing in the wind She danced around in the butterfly's den Where beautiful roses once did grow, But God at this this time she did not know.

She heard fluttering of wings Saw rings of beautiful roses She walked toward the shining light Suddenly a booming voice came from behind,

'Fear not I am God I am He whom gave you those dancing feet I am He whom made the beautiful roses I am He whom made those butterfly wings Who do you think made the very air you breathe?'

The light turned into night She danced and praised the Lord Thanked and accepted Him into her heart Gave her life to a new start.

A RETIREE'S TRIP TO COSTCO
Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I wound up in a hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IV's in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story). Horrified, she asked if I was in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's butt and a car hit us both. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Costco won't let me shop there anymore.. Better watch what you ask retired people . They have all the time in the world to think of crazy things to say. Forward this (especially) to all your retired friends......it will be their Laugh for the day.

Halloween Party
Nov 07, 2009 | 6:37PM

-------Original Message------- Subject: Happy Halloween! Wonderful Party! (GOT TO READ THIS ONE!)
Costume Party -- HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! A couple was invited to a swanky costume party. The Mrs. got a terrible headache and told her husband to go to the party alone. He being a devoted husband protested, but she argued and said she was going to take some aspirin and go to bed and there was no need for his good time being spoiled by not going. So he took his costume and away he went. The wife, after sleeping soundly for about an hour, awakened without pain and, as it was still early, decided to go the party. Since her husband did not know what her costume was, she thought she would have some fun by watching her husband to see how he acted when she was not with him. She joined the party and soon spotted her husband cavorting around on the dance floor, dancing with every nice woman he could, and copping a little feel here and a little kiss there. His wife sidled up to him and being a rather seductive babe herself, he left his current partner high and dry and devoted his time to the new babe that had just arrived. She let him go as far as he wished, naturally, since he was her husband. Finally, he whispered a little proposition in her ear and she agreed. So off they went to one of the cars and had a quickie. Just before unmasking at midnight, she slipped away, went home, put the costume away and got into bed, wondering what kind of explanation he would make for his behavior. She was sitting up reading when he came in, and she asked what kind of a time he had. He said: "Oh, the same old thing. You know I never have a good time when you're not there." - "Did you dance much ?" - "I'll tell you, I never even danced one dance. When I got there, I met Pete, Bill Brown and some other guys, so we went into the den and played poker all evening. But you're not going to believe what happened to the guy I loaned my costume to...."

internet friends
Nov 04, 2009 | 2:56PM
My Internet Friends
My friends live in a little box, that sits upon my table. I?ve never served them tea, but I would if I was able.

And yet we share our lives, filled with dreams and tears. We write about our loves, we also share our fears.

And if I?m ever feeling down they answer to my cry. They send me little notes, that help my tears to dry.

I wouldn?t trade these friends, they?re priceless, don?t you know. And though we?ve never met, they keep my world a?glow.

So Father up in Heaven, please bless these unseen friends. Bring them peace and love, and joys that have no end.

Hugs and Smiles
Nov 04, 2009 | 2:29PM
Hugs and Smiles
Sometimes when I? lonely and feelin?really down and blue. I get a little message with a smile and hug from you. It? really special the hugs and smile at the end. They let me know the message is coming from a friend. They make me warm and cuddly. Like my blankie used to do. They take away the chill and a warmth spreads through and through. My smile spreads like butter and it melts right off my face. you? never know a frown had been there in its place. I want to reach through the computer, and thank you with a kiss.. but that? just something that you?e going to have to miss. The wires couldn? handle it. They couldn? take the heat and what would happen in a_ bear hug if we ever meet? I?l say, ?i, I? Mary?br> thanks for all the smiles. You?l say, ?ary who??br> after I?e traveled all those miles. I?l look disappointed, a teardrop in my eye. You?l give me a hug and smile cause your that kind of guy! You were only joking and the sparks will start to fly. |

Nov 04, 2009 | 1:49PM
Internet Friends
Although we've never met In my heart I know you well; Your ever welcome e-mails Each have a tale to tell.
We talk about our families Sympathise when things go wrong, You always give encouragement Which helps to keep me strong.
It seems I've always known you A tried and trusted friend You have such lovely qualities On you I can depend.
We have become like sisters Who share so many things. Forever I'll be thankful for The joy our friendship brings.
I am sure you will agree, 'Twas a blessing that we met, In this world of cyberspace, Here on the internet.

God's Autumn Landscape
Nov 02, 2009 | 10:08AM
God's Autumn Landscape
The scene could not be lovelier If Monet took a brush, And loaded it with muted colors Of gold and red and rust. **** Aspens glow with golden sheen. Oaks drip burnt mahogany. Maples are smart in crimson-red. Willows, a grand menagerie. **** The sun, a glowing apricot, Stunning in a gray-blue sky. A panorama to delight The most critical, discerning eye. **** This is not a Monet canvas, Rather God's autumn landscape. In this panorama of loveliness He allows me to partake. **** He's filled it up with creatures. The winter birds on wing. God must have surely known The joy their homecoming brings. **** I can hear my heart singing It's tune so merrily. Today I've seen the red bird dancing With the lovely chickadee. **** The beauty of autumn's landscape No mortal man could paint. None of the greatest masters Could hope to duplicate. ****

Autumn Will Become Winter Soon
Nov 02, 2009 | 10:01AM
Autumn Will Become Winter Soon
on this cold Autumn night all alone I am staying warm without your arms I should have told you how I felt my feelings still inside, I don't know how to let them out where do I begin to say how much I want to know you when is just the right time to a speak my heart soon the leaves that fall from the trees will be covered by winter's blanket I can't wait that long to tell you what my heart feels so many times I moved my mouth to speak but the words chose to not leave my tongue I need to be brave just this once when I am near you, don't you see the look in my eyes the words my eyes portray, like they have something urgent to say it would be easy if you saw the signals I display and you uttered the words to me that to you I wished to say but autumn will become winter soon, and my heart can't wait so the words I must say to you will come tonite, I anticipate I will reveal to you just what my hidden feelings are and I will hope you feel the strength of my loving heart

Nov 02, 2009 | 9:56AM
IF JESUS CAME FOR THANKSGIVING
Another blessed thanksgiving day will be soon to arrive Turkey and dressing ham, sweet potatoes and pie on the side Family and friends all coming together this blessed Holiday Hugg's and love seem to be around throughout this Family day As we gather together let us never forget to thank Him I pray For if were not for God we wouldn't be celebrating nothing So while we feast and visit, sharing so many great blessings Let us not forget God's less fortunate the homeless and starving If you see or know of someone who today will have nothing Please take the time to show love and help them with something For there is something special you may never know or see The ones youv'e helped by sowing that very needed love seed May be our Savior coming down to just test your heart and see We are all Brothers and Sisters, one Family in God that plants a seed Family is important, and one day it could be you, the one who is in need And if we help our Brothers and Sisters Jesus will be so loved and pleased For if I can help you pray for help, I'll always go down upon my bended knee I pray your Thanksgiving will be such a blessing of love to each one you Also for Gods Children in need, who may need a blessing from me or you to!
Happy Thanksgiving and please dear friends, as you celebrate this year, if Jesus on the corner in need you happen to see, share some food, clothing or maybe a warm coat, let our Brothers and Sisters see Jesus in us then your Thanksgiving will Bless you so very, very much---love, hugg's and best wishes for your Thanksgiving Day!

Thanksgiving Turkey
Nov 01, 2009 | 11:49PM
Thanksgiving Turkey
Standing in my kitchen On this Thanksgiving Day To my surprise my turkey Gets up and walks away. He walks into the garden And hides behind a tree My turkey then looks up at me And then he starts to plea. Please do not roast me Please, just let me go You don?t have to eat me You can eat something else you know. Why don?t you eat a pizza? Or spaghetti Napoli One thing I know for certain You don?t HAVE to eat me. I pondered all this carefully And decided he was right Now my turkey can be Thankful too On this thanksgiving night. I?ve decided to serve pizza Just like my turkey said A great big pizza with lots of salad And heaps of garlic bread.

Thanksgiving - A time to give thanks
Nov 01, 2009 | 11:14PM
THANKSGIVING - A TIME TO GIVE THANKS
A TIME TO GIVE THANKS
O God, when I have food, help me to remember the hungry; When I have work, help me to remember the jobless; When I have a home, help me to remember those who have no home at all; When I am without pain, help me to remember those who suffer, And remembering, help me to destroy my complacency; bestir my compassion, and be concerned enough to help; By word and deed, those who cry out for what we take for granted. Amen.
Written by - Samuel F. Pugh
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks it is true, But everyday should be a day of thanksgiving too.
God gives us faith and protects our daily bread, He always hears our prayers and listens to each word said.
God waits for our prayers not just on Thanksgiving Day, His love and kindnesses are shown to us in every way.
On Thanksgiving Day, give thanks for every day and everyone, Pray for others who need good health, food, love and fun.
Thank God for all blessings you have received, Pray as often as you can and always believe.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving (true story)
Nov 01, 2009 | 1:13AM
thanksgiving... (true story)
Thanksgiving.....
Many years ago, on a misty October morning He left San Francisco to Ft Polk Louisiana, for basic training A war was raging overseas, the country needed him Left his family to answer his calling Infantry soldier he will be ~ to keep the bell of freedom ringing.
Months of hard training, finally ended Was so happy to finish basic, time to take a leave His private pay for the duration he received Will buy his family Christmas presents and gifts.
Mid December in Class A uniform, graduation at last Spit shined shoes, fresh haircut, looked sharp Duffle bag packed, ready to go When the First Sergeant(1SG) called him to his office ~ why? ...he didn't know.
Reported to the 1SG's office as soon as he could 'Pvt C, reporting'..gave a salute He was told to stand at ease As the 1SG took something from his desk.
A wallet in his hands, 'Is this yours?', he asked Pvt C tapped his back pocket, felt nothing, he was shocked 'Yes 1SG' he said with a snap 'Where did you see it last?', he asked again Pvt C remembered he pulled his wallet out ...but didn't know where and when.
The 1SG gave his wallet back, money all gone Sadness and emptiness, inside him crept So light and so empty he felt No money for the holidays, no Christmas present ...not even a toy for his kid.
Hurt, heart throbbing, dejected A lump blocked his throat, can't even speak Down, desperate, broken, defeated, lost Nobody was to blame but himself ...it was his own fault.
He stayed at the 1SG's office for awhile To collect his composure, replaying the events...why and how If only he was careful, it should have not happened But overwhelmed by the thoughts of going home to his family ...he got careless and complacent.
He did not know how long he stayed there He fell asleep to forget his grief The 1SG came back, handed him his hat It was full of cash ~ he did not know how much.
The 1SG said, there was a special formation made Told his fellow soldiers what happened to his wallet The 1SG passed his hat around for voluntary help Everyone, yes every soldier ~ donated.
When the 1SG counted the money collected It was more than twice the amount lost Tears running down his cheek, Pvt C just can not hold Tears of happiness, tears of thanksgiving To his fellow soldiers..in his lifetime, never to be forgotten.
Years passed, in his heart faces are etched The Harris', Dyers and other names...imprinted in his brain Wherever they are, eternal friends they remain It is a small world, someday their paths will cross ...he will meet them ~ yet again.
Today...he is offering a fervent thanksgiving prayer To all his friends who are out there From the bottom of his heart, he will never forget The spirit of giving from all of his comrades May they always be sound and safe ...extend his sincere thanks ~ God Bless!

Thanksgiving Tears
Nov 01, 2009 | 1:02AM
Thanksgiving Tears
Slowly she walked down the main street of the lil town she had wandered into last night. She had been traveling for so long that she had forgotten the meaning of home and family.
It was Sunday and she could hear the singing of the bells from the town Church. She watched families making their way to the Church for Sunday service. Lil ones holding on to the protective, loving hands of their parents. She thinks to herself was I ever that young or trusting.
One small girl is having trouble keeping up with the longer legs of her brothers. Her father hears her running to keep up, Turning he scoops his lil girl up into his arms and perches her on his shoulders.
Tears start to form in her eyes as she tries so hard to bring back memories of her family. All she saw were many pictures flashing by of the many nameless towns she had visited for a heartbeat and left.
Never staying long enough to leave an imprint of her passing. She decides to follow along and see where the Church was. Turning the next corner she sees it. It wasn't a building but a very large park filled with flowers. The preacher stood at his pulpit under a large weeping willow shading him from the sun.
He sees her standing off to the side seeing in her eyes a feeling he himself knew very well. The feeling of never belonging. He reaches out a hand to her saying welcome friend. She looks into his gentle brown eyes with confusion. He bends down and whispers in her ear ' Strangers are friends we have yet to meet'
He takes her by the hand leading her to a spot where she can hear his words clearly when the service began. She studies the man and is surprised by how quickly she trusted him. He was tall and his black cowboy hat made him seem even taller.
More people came to join in the sunlight Thanksgiving service and they all smile at her, welcoming her. She looks again to the preacher, she blinks to clear her eyes thinking she was seeing things. Standing beside the preacher is a shadowy figure that was getting clearer.
A face starts to appear one she thought had faded from her memory. The smiling loving eyes of her father look back at her. His voice comes to her as strong and clear as it had been many years before. This is the place you belong my daughter. Your wandering days are over.
The preacher begins speaking, he is telling of Thanksgiving in the memories of family. That family are not only ones of blood. Are also ones who are joined together by a kindred spirit.
She bows her head closing her eyes seeing her family come to life before her very eyes. Ones she thought were gone from her. She hears the final words of the preacher's sermon. And they engrave on her heart. The ones who go before us are never truly gone from us they take each step we take. The love we share is always. It is a separation of bodies never of hearts.
The preacher walks up to her once again tips his cowboy hat to her welcoming her to her new home. Others come up and welcome her, Tears come again she goes to wipe them away.
The preacher stops her don't wipe away your silver tears let them flow. We all understand how you feel. Once before we all wandered lost looking for a place to belong. Now you have found that place of belonging.

Thanksgiving Guest Of Honor
Nov 01, 2009 | 12:37AM
~ Thanksgiving Guest Of Honor ~

Today's honored guest for dinner, is named Ol' Mister Tom He was invited specially, by every body's Mom
He will be donned in finest dress, from his head down to his feet Tanned to golden brown his skin, good enough to eat
Invited too will be his friends, let me list them here Candied yams with marshmallow, and grandpa's homemade beer
Chestnut dressing makes her way, to the table finely spread Linen cloth and candle light, where all the guests are fed
Mashed potatoes too will come, with gravy at his side Homemade rolls with buttered tops, more butter too inside
Cranberry Sauce, another guest, so cheery are her ways Always is a regular, on all Thanksgiving days
Pumpkin pie arrives at last, with whipped cream upon his face Greeted though by one and all, after saying grace
At evening's close we all hold hands and say a little prayer For blessings we are thankful for, all throughout the year

Hello, My wonderful Friends
Nov 01, 2009 | 12:32AM
THANKSGIVING, A GREAT DAY (W/G)

JML Sigs
Thanksgiving, that wonderful joyous holiday. When famlies all get together. Plans are seldom cancelled, Even during inclement weather.
We have so many things to be thankful for. So we thank our God up above. But let's think of all the families this year, Who will be without that someone they love.
Our men and women are fighting for us, On some far off distant shore. And so many Americans have been killed. When there isn't even any war.
One country fighting another country, Is how we used to fight a war. But now with these scheming terrorists, Life will never be as before.
So on this coming Thanksgiving day, Let's ALL PRAY to GOD up above. He needs our prayers each and every day. So He can fill all our hearts with LOVE.
