Entry for July 25, 2006 Sick Week :-(
Jul 26, 2006 | 8:25AM

What a week and it is only Tuesday.  I was supposed have one of my dear friends JoAnne over on Saturday to celebrate her 42nd birthday , do a little swimming and take her out for dinner.  On Thursday, I started with a runny nose and sneezing and by Friday my throat was very scratchy.  Woke up Saturday AM with a fever and aching everywhere, especially my throat.  I was able to get into the doctors at 9 AM and by then I was sure I had strep throat.  Fortunately I did not just acute sinusitis.  I went home calling poor JoAnne and canceling and crawled into bed. BY the end of the evening I was felling a little more alive and I went to track down my husband.  Lo and behold, he was asleep on the couch burning up with a 102 fever.  I gave him some Aleve and one of my antibiotics and we both crawled into bed.  Sometime during the night my fever broke and by Sunday I was feeling somewhat human again.  I asked Dave if he wanted to go to Urgent Care and he said "I'll be fine"(Yeah right, we know how men are when they are sick.) He was up and down all night and by Monday, his fever was still raging. I sent him off to the doctors and guess what....Yep sinus infection.  He spent almost all day Monday and most of Tuesday in bed before dragging him self out to go to work today....

Entry for July 17, 2006: Louisville Trip
Jul 26, 2006 | 8:25AM

To start this journey let me explain my photos in my Louisville album.  My husband Dave and I planned our first camping trip alone in a very long timeImage.  We were heading to Hardy Lake State Park in Indiana and we were going to tour Louisville.  Dave’s vacation began on Friday July 14th.  But first, we went camping at East Fork Lake in Ohio with my step-son Steven and grandson gage.  Christy, Scott and Barry joined us for a day of swimming.  The weather was awesome and the weekend great.  We came home Sunday and I began getting ready for our next trip.Image  It began raining Tuesday and rained all through the drive on WednesdayImage.  Lucky for us it stopped in time to set up our site and then we relaxed Imagein the camper as it began raining again.  we got up to more drizzle on Thursday but we went on into Louisville(we hoped to go to a  ball game).  We toured the Louisville Slugger museum and had a great time.  The weather was still drizzly so we decided to take in the baseball game on the next day; we bought our tickets and headed home.  Friday started nice and we did some hiking, had lunch and went on into Louisville to catch the game.  The team is the Louisville River Bats.  (They are a Triple A farm team for the Cincinnati Reds.)  We hit a brewery in the area of the stadium, had some unusual brews and potato skins and then off to the game.  We did a little shopping in the “Bat Cave” and settled into our seats.  By the time the National Anthem was sung, lightening was streaking across the sky.  After 10 minutes into the game, they called a rain delay.  After a 2 hour and 4 minutes delay they called the game.  We went home semi-dejected.  At least we had an excuse to come back.  Saturday we got up and headed back to Louisville for more touring.  Our first stop was the KY Derby Museum.  It was a great visit and we were able to tour Churchill Downs.  Since racing was going on we decided to skip the rest of the tours and stay and bet on some races.  We lost 60 cents and had to go home broke. We grilled steaks and relaxed by the fire.  We headed home Sunday nice and relaxed for Dave to start back to work on Monday.
