Dishonest People....

Recently my illusions of honesty have been broken and then crushed.

Iam the type of person who would need proof that someone would stoop so low to cheat other people... and for what??? grabbles? your name at the top?

My illusions of honesty was broken when a person I trusted and defended admitted to cheating.

My illusions of honesty have now been crushed by a person who has taken a completely differant approach to questions of cheating. They put up a tourney to give the grabbles back.

They decided to go onto their other account and tell us all that a suicide attempt had happened to their "best friend" who hosted the payback tourney... but instead of being at the hospital of their comatose friend, what do ya think they did? Well, they had to go play that tourney and win it. Of course, isnt that clever... And the rest of us are complete idiots?

Well, I will get my illusions of honesty back because I play with the most awesome group of people this site can offer..... and the cheaters are gone and we can forget they even exist.

*edit.... It is extremely improbable that someone who has not joined any mahjong solitaire tournies or has any score of mahjong solitaire on their profile , can go in and win with a score of 185k

A water bridge over a bridge??

Even after you see it, it is still hard to believe !
WaterBridge in Germany . What a feat!

Six years, 500 million euros, 918 meters long.......now this is engineering!

This is a channel-bridge over the River Elbe and joins the former East and West Germany, as part of the unification project. It is located in the city of Magdeburg, near Berlin.

The photo was taken on the day of inauguration. To those who appreciate engineering projects, here's a puzzle for you armchair engineers and physicists..

Did that bridge have to be designed to withstand the additional weight of ship and barge tr affic, or just the weight of the water?

Answer:
It only needs to be designed to withstand the weight of the water!

Why?
A ship always displaces an amount of water that weighs the same as the ship, regardless of how heavily a ship may be loaded.
