I'll be moving my blog
Jun 10, 2008 | 12:19AM
I'll be moving my blog to a more suitable place that's built for bloggers.
I don't hate this place, it's just not what I want, if you want to view my blog from now on, go to http://skashkitsune.livejournal.com
That place is much more suited to what I like, it's not Vox, but heck it's not as basic as this place, LiveJournal's what I want from now on.

it's been a while...
May 30, 2008 | 6:11AM
Well I just had my 21st Birthday on the 20th of this month, and it was a quiet one.
My dad came over for a few hours sat down and had some bourbon with me and have a nice long catch up of what happened over the last few months.
I went to my mothers for a few days and left the radio on Auto, sorry all about that we all need a break sometimes :( I also played my lil bro's PS2 god, I can't believe he's getting so old he's already 17 and taller than me the freak (family humour, honest) I still love him though.
My oldest brother Ben came down to my house to give me birthday greetings however he ruined the mood by asking for his cat back (idiot!)
Maniac, (FHPD18) asked me what I done for the few days I've been off even though I told him 3 weeks prior to me doing it, oh well he must have had quite a few things to do with his studies and all.

I just want to rant a little...
Apr 10, 2008 | 5:53AM
With some Kiddies that think it's real fun to use pre-release software let me tell them something....
It's not great, excellent, extraudinary and as fantastic as their mates say.
Sure it's good to see the software before it's released and sometimes it's excellent to see the new features however there's still the point off... it's [censored]ing dangerous!!!
Come on! if they knew how much damage my PC went through with Beta testing and Alpa testing software they'd be rethinking using it.
I see kids installing Service Pack 3 for Windows XP and Service Pack 1 for Vista, they may think it's fun but think of it this way... Alpha, Beta what do they mean?
They mean before release, unstable, unpredictable... What happend with the last software I beta tested that went horribly wrong is simple my C:\, the main drive I store files on my computer, and everything else was wiped clean - not out of spite I might add, but just a beta test gone wrong - horribly wrong. - this was a game people know, Test Drive Unlimited.
Next: my PC wasn't able to be booted up on another incident, something about a boot sector missing when I installed Internet Explorer 7 while in Beta stage.
Alpha software: Firefox 1.5, 2 and 3 in Alpha crashed often - sometimes wouldn't even boot up.
Trillian Astra - Still in Alpha stage I'm unable to sign in most times - when I do plugins sometimes don't load correctly - crashes often, if I'm lucky I'd get 5 hours of conversation before it kills itself.
On the lighter side: SmartFTP 2.5, that was one of the safest Beta tests I have done. it works as stated and the stability was great, it's now released.
I'm writing to you on Internet Explorer 8, this here is VERY unstable, it crashes often, often it: refuses to load tabs, reloads tabs without notifying me - even without me wanting to reload the tab and displays an error stating that the tab has crashed., it didn't install properly, it crashes my PC sometimes.
So to those that think it's fun to Beta test software don't unless you know the risks involved and if you do beware - there is no support - more than likely, you'll have the developers ask you to report the bug and procceed with the test.
Use a PC that isn't for every day tasks, don't use recreational, work, home, play, etc type of PC's, the software is to unstable.

What would love to see from the telco's....
Mar 25, 2008 | 8:51PM
With the telco's they have the caps, it's nothing new, but it's greatest thing since the handsets came out and the reduction in costs!
Now that the telco's are realizing that they can cut costs with delivering services to their users with the call costs per month they might as well give us some money for free eg: we pay $29 we get $130 or the more favourable we pay $100 we get $1200, well how about this:
The telco's are actually having higher rates than normal plans through the caps or they have the same rates but what they don't really know is that they can have a little program that automatically adjusts the plan to suit the needs of the person that is using the service, eg: you're on the $29 cap for $130 worth of calls, text, pics, etc and you spend $1000 and then you're hit with a whopping excess fee of guess what? $870, yea, nasty stuff....
What they can do is easily change it so that it upgrades our plan at the end of the month before the statement hits our door or inboxes.
And it should also go for the reverse way too, eg: you spend $100 and you're on the $100 cap then you're barely getting the value's worth, let's make it better by them bringing you down to the lowest cap available to you (eg: if the minimum you can have because of your phone would be $45 then it shall be $45 or if the minimum is $19, then $19 it shall be and so on)
It would actually save us a whole lot of money and also the telco's due to less man hours needed to actually handle with the customer service of the accounts that the customer is questioning or complaining about.

C'mon Telstra, Give a damn!
Nov 19, 2007 | 9:14AM
I've actually finally cracked, yes I'm actually quite unhappy with the service of Testra because3 well, think of it this way, Payphones are becoming a thing of the past, internet feels like it's getting slower by the day, WiFi access points include a Bigmac and fries and the NextG network feels like the best you can do with it is call 000 and hope you can get connected. There's more, they have a blog! Yea, this is actually really funny because when you think of it, they are so big and powerful they don't need one. They have blogs there for different parts of what they do, NextG, Generation Y, Brave New World, Payphones, What The IP, Techno-how, Telstra Gadget Guru, Tech Trends, the list goes on. And here I am wondering why don't they stop blogging, sending out press releases for their so called "supporters" and get back to [censored]ing work! damn! at least I don't screw up as much as they do, I do little productivity, however I don't do setbacks nor do I have reduced production in different areas that I work in, I play games, I help with a few websites and I administer about 5 quite well. Let's get onto my rant first of my favourite "PAYPHONES!!!" now everyone hates using these, they're expensive, they're bulky and people even sometimes get embarrassed using them and even the most annoying part is that Telstra and some other people actually put them in the most inconvenient of places such as... a highway, busy road, areas that actually make high levels of noise - fun! They are reducing the amount of Payphones in my location because they're getting vandalized and they're not gaining enough NET profit, ok if they do the opposite of what I stated above and they'll do fine and these little enhancements will make the payphone expirience a little more sweeter, firstly let's say that they can relocate some into more lit areas and add WiFi gateways to some, if I can hide a laptop in one of those things then of course they can add a WiFi modem in so that people can access the internet for a small charge through the gateways rather than looking for a macca's that have a sign saying "Yes, we have internet access!" Stop reducing the numbers, reduce the amount you charged, you upped the price by 10 cents 10 years after you lowered it to 40 cents, what's the problem, not enough people calling? will that actually help the problem of not enough customers so you'll need to charge more to even the odds? Next! NextG Network, looks sweet eh? WRONG! I thought my ADSL2+ connection was sweet until I found out that I was on the Beta test program and paying out 100% more than what others are charging. Dropouts, timeouts, blackouts for days with my phone line yes it even effected my neighborhood, my internet connection was unable to be used for about a week, all I got back from them was "we'll look into it", nice, they actually done something, how about preventing it next time? Next G is the same, they have dropouts where you basically can't call anyone or you could but they couldn't hear you, or you couldn't hear them properly, they even had better reception putting it into a old 90's model phone or a Nokia 5110, (they're still pretty sweet) they say that "I've been everywhere man!" has your internet connection gone with you, or has it actually been left in your state back 500kms? You want to know the truth guys? the actual truth is that with most products these days for commercial use reduce the length of distance compared to the power ratio, think of it, something has to give out. Consumer products such as laptops, new phones, new accessories will last longer because consumers make the most income, keep us happy less refunds happen and you keep the cash that we used. that's why the average battery life of my Nokia 6230 is a week instead of the old 5110 or 3210 that was about 2-3 days depending on how much text messages I send/recieve which is none. Telstra please! add more towers to even the ratio out, you can't just go around replacing existing towers hoping that the range is "good enough" CDMA has the best range, better than GSM, and way better than 3G or NextG as Telstra calls it. Back to internet side of things, they're complaining about other ISP's "stealing" from them, I think they're looking at the wrong places, let's do the sums, the other ISP's shell out for air conditioning, line rental, storage, maintenance, etc, etc, etc the list goes on, c'mon Telstra your stealing from them! Telstra has so many problems at the moment and you'd think that they're doing the same thing as grab, improving what's important the quality of their service, right? WRONG! Let's see what they're upto right now, they're looking into increasing the speeds and the reach of the network to the rural of Australia with adding bits and pieces to make us just as good as many other countries maybe even better than the top country that's in their graph, I'll give u a clue who's on the top, it's not Japan or Asia, it's in the Europe region. It's got no code name so why don't I give it one "Titanic" Ok, some of you are probably wondering "there's places to stop this though" let me tell you that the ACCC is onto them and they should be looking into their file soon but not before they actually sink the ship and the CEO and the CFO hold hands while flying off to a country that will allow them to run away from these issues. and yes, the possibility of them sinking is INEVITABLE! TBC

Champ or Chump?
Nov 12, 2007 | 12:25PM
Difference between champ and chump other than 2 letters, Champions accept defeats and learns from them.
Chumps however leave the game before the game has ended leaving them the false impression that they have not lost even though they actually have.
Lesson to those that think that they've won against me, unless I agree to a defeat and it says on screen and chat has defeated Skash then you have not won.
a person that doesn't start a new game after I have entered the room isn't fit for playing against unless they have a excuse of "I clicked the worng button" or "sorry, let me sink the 8 ball so that we can start a fresh" IE: confusion is to blame.
to all "champs" out there, challenge me to a game of pool or any other game and I'll accept it, and I will accept defeat against you or a loss, I will not cower out of the room, my only excuses would be "I lagged so much that I disconnected" and that's very rare.
This also goes for any other multiplayer games out there.
Please, play fair don't make a fuss over a small loss you're just going to have a bad reputation and that's worse than being called a n00b at pool. or multiplayer

FYI: How to cancel Grab.com's subscription
Sep 24, 2007 | 4:50AM
Now if you have chosen to renew grab's subscription and you don't want it to charge you over and over then here's a better way of removing the subscription when you feel that your ready: Log into your paypal control panel. Click on your history tab. Find the subscription in your history and click on it. After the screen redraws, you will be given the option to cancel the subscription or renew it. Select cancel. You may also find it by doing an advanced search using your subscription number. Simple steps. Please don't comment about your useless "but I don't wanna upgrade" and whine and all that [censored], I'm sick of it on the boards and I will not have it on my blog! I'm only doing a public service here and I'm not gonna be flamed about it... GOT IT???

Tournaments!
Sep 08, 2007 | 7:53PM
Yep, I'm gonna do another lot of tournaments all gonna be pumped full of my grabbles.
ok, there's going to be at least 2,500 grabbles in each tourney (about 1,750 for first prize, the other half spread around the other scorers)
There's going to be 4 tournaments.
2 for free members.
2 for VIP only.
1 of each will be high price entry (not as high as VIP entry)
and the rest (other 2) will be low price entry.
They all will be 48 hours apart, going for 24 hours each, so everyone can join (supposing you are VIP, if your not VIP, you can not join the VIP only tourneys, but are freely permitted to join the other 2 tourneys.)
Layout:
The tourneys will be layed out like so:
Free: Low price
VIP: Low Price
Free: High Price
Prices: TBA, I'll need to consult a few friends on how low and how high I can go I want to be fair, and I want to make sure that everyone leaves with some glory.
VIP: Highest Price (don't complain, there will be heaps of ways for VIP's to earn grabbles, and you can earn the grabbles within about... 2 hours)
Games: TBA (would like some help deciding)
Rules: Please look at the updated ToS of grab.com's website for the rules, no additional rules will be added except this statement: I will be keeping an eye on the tournaments and I don't like cheaters, they will be reported and the tournament(s) will be restarted with the same amount of grabbles at a later date.
Glitches: if there are any glitches with the amendment of the grabbles then the staff will be contacted and hopefully it will be resolved. (in other words, if you don't get your winnings, contact support staff either through the tourney board, or through the "contact us" link at the bottom of each page.
Well, that's all for now.
P.S. I will be playing in the tourneys, I will be paying the admission fee, I will have just as much chance as anyone on grab at winning (even though I doubt I will, LOOK AT MY SCORES!!! :| )
Now, get ready to play!

Ok, here goes...
Jul 18, 2007 | 5:30PM
I will soon be adding teasers to the new artfox website that I'm developing for Sonic_the_Hedgie better known by her friends as Sonikkun or Joss.
This is exciting because all I have to do is add 2 more things and then debug W00T!
k, I will not launch it till I am sure it works, as I said I can not edit user profiles or user status so there's only a test moderator.
