OMG Bread
Nov 05, 2006 | 12:38PM
Nov 4th  The organic bread has fallen.  Pictures of the still intact loaf have been added to the album and should be Monday Nov 6th in the afternoon (grab admin willing)  It fell off the wire but remains mostly whole.  Over 5 months and still hasn't rotted to nothing, I know a regular loaf of the same design would of been long gone.  Who eats this stuff?  I know after all this I won't even consider any type of "organic" bread.  Hope ya won your bet, and yeah I'll let ya know when it totally disappears.  (we'll probably see a few snowfalls before it's totally gone)

That Bread, Just 4 fun
Jun 09, 2006 | 7:59AM

Ok, here it is, one loaf of organic bread hanging in a tree.  It has been there since the 30th.  How long b4 something gets it?

Here it is June 19th and that dang thing still hangs there.  A crack has formed near the top but nothing is eating it.  I showed it to the friend that gave me the bread, and they can't believe nothing has touched it either.  Organic bread, I think we are all wondering what it's made of to make even the possum stay away.

June 21st  Found a dead ladybug at the base of the bread.  Peanut butter hanging on, still no signs of anything eating it.

June 29th, still hanging on up there.  The crack is a bit bigger, it is right at the narrow place at the top, no worries, the wire goes through that part.  Even withstood the last hail storm.  Wish I would of kept the wrapper.  LOL

July 12th.. How much longer can it hang there?  As I walked past it today, I noticed a woodpecker banging on it.  Nope no hole in it YET, but I expect that bird to be back again.  I keep hoping something will take it away, but NOPE.  We are now trying to decide what kind of morter mix they used to make this bread.  I sure wish I'd kept the wrapper.

Updated Photo's in album

JULY 29th... Over 2 months later and YES the bread, hard as a rock, still hanges from that coat hanger in the tree. We've seen flies and other bugs on it but the woodpecker hasn't returned. The cracks and wholes are getting bigger and the dark area is where the flies have been eating. Do I hear an OMG 2 months and it hasn't fallen? What the... is that stuff made of again... LOL.  Photo's should be up tomorrow.

September 7th  .. Bet you didn't think it would last this long, honestly neither did we.  I'll get more pictures this weekend and post them.  The top of the bread is dark and maybe it will fall soon but doubt it.

OCTOBER 9th.... WOW... IT still hangs there.  The bread is black on top and still hard as a rock.  I don't know what it keeping it up there.  A few of my friends have seen it and even hit it a time or 2 to see how hard it is.  It will stay until it falls on it's own.  Almost 6 months now.  It makes me laugh every time I see it there.  6 months in a few weeks.
