When I don't know what to do
Nov 03, 2008 | 3:34PM
When I'm feeling kind of frustrated
And Don't know what to do
I blank pretty much everyone out of my mind
Everyone but you.

When I'm feeling really discouraged
And I don't know how to get through
I don't eat or drink or cry
I think of you to clear my mind

When I'm feeling really scared
You comfort me and stroke my hair
And while everyone else laughs at me
I think "You're the only one who cares"

When I'm feeling strange sometimes
And don't know what to think
I look at you, you look at me
Then you give me a big wink

When I tell someone
"I don't know what to do!"
They just tell me "Figure it out for yourself" And Walk away
But that is SO not you.

Here is just one
Simple piece of advice
When you don't know what to do
Turn to a phone, an animal
Even 5 Colorful Yahtzee Dice
And think about someone who is nice

Three Words I want to hear
Aug 13, 2008 | 6:59PM
On every Tuesday Evening, When I see my baby, Tass
We do the things we need to do until the end of class
After I'm done riding, I give him a big squeeze
Then I whisper into his ear
"Say those three words, baby, please"
In response, he puts his head on my heart
And closes his eyes
And then he lets out a gentle snort
Each little action meaning a different word
Those three little words are something I love to hear him say
Those three words are "I love You"
And when he says it, you can see me grin from a mile away

When someone looks at me and says "I love you"
I feel good in every way
I say I love you to my family, friends, and animals every day

When friends tell you they love you
Don't think of it in a bad way
Because friends like Tass say what they mean and mean what they say

To my dear friends: I Love You!!!

Love
Christina

Top 10 reasons why I call a true friend a true friend
Jul 02, 2008 | 3:29PM
Here Are the top 20 reasons why I call my true friends true friends:

1) A true friend is there for you when you are upset, others just tell you "Get over it".

2) A true friend puts you first before them, under any circumstance (If you are in the hospital, even if your friend was in a meeting she'd come and see you anyway)

3) A true friend can help you deal with things that go on in your life, even if they haven't experienced it before.

4) A true friend is someone you can turn to when you need help, because they love you and care about you

5) A true friend is someone you can trust to keep a secret

6) A true friend is someone you can rely on physically, emotionally and mentally.

7) A true friend tells you they'll be there for you through thick and thin

8) A true friend convinces you to get your stress out, while fake friends tell you if you cry in front them they won't be friends with you anymore.

9) A true friend always sticks up for you without getting herself into trouble.

AND THE LAST REASON WHY I CALL A TRUE FRIEND A TRUE FRIEND IS.....

10)A true friend doesn't judge you for who you are on the outside, they judge you based on what comes from your heart.

To My True friends: You know who you are, and I am very grateful to have you all.

Hope you all like my blog.

Lost in Nature's Fury
Apr 10, 2008 | 4:27PM
I had the scare of my life in Haliburton
It was 1995
It was a storm so vicious
I didn't know if i'd survive

I was sleeping in my bed
On a cold and rainy night
When a howling wind outside my window
Gave me a huge fright

My Aunt and Cousin rushed to my side
I was so scared, I just wanted to hide
I asked my aunt what was going on
"Is it a bad thunderstorm?" I asked, my eyes filled with fright

"No, It's an F5 tornado, the worse kind yet, but since we have each other, we'll be alright I bet"

What I didn't realize, since I was only six years old
Was I was only three meters away from nature's fury
And even though my window was open, I survived because my bravery and will to be OK grew bold

Miraculously, Our Cottage was OK
But the car, the van and the neighbor's roof was torn, much to my dismay.

I was at the cottage
For a couple extra days
Because since the trees were blocking the roads
They were causing some delays

The one thing I said
To myself the next day
Was "I was very close to an F5 Tornado, and I AM OKAY"

I hope you all like my blog....This actually really happened.

Luv,
Christina

My 3 favourite recipes
Dec 23, 2007 | 5:07PM
Hey everyone....I just want to give you all a taste of my favorite recipes. One is for chocolate haystacks, and one is for chocolate cheese fudge (Got this one from Paula Deen, thanks Paula:)). Another one is for Macaroni Salad.

CHOCOLATE HAYSTACKS:

1) Melt 1 bag of chocolate chips and one bag of butterscotch chips in a pot on the stove (it takes about 10-15 minutes to melt, so be patient)

2)Add 2 full packages of chow Mein noodles to the pot of chocolate after it is melted. Stir until smooth. If it helps, chop the chow mein noodles with a wooden spoon.

3) Add 2 cups of peanuts to mixture and stir for 5 minutes

4) Let Mixture cool down a bit so it won't be so hot.

5) Spoon mixture on to pan (pan must be greased with butter)

6) Let it cool in the freezer

7) Enjoy!!!!

CHOCOLATE CHEESE FUDGE:

You will need the following ingredients: velveeta cheese, butter, pure vanilla extract, chopped nuts (pecans and walnuts), 2 16 oz boxes of confectioners sugar, and 1/2 a cup of cocoa powder.

Spray lightly the bottom of a 9 by 2-inch square pan with a nonstick spray.

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the cheese and butter together, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and add the vanilla and nuts.

In a large bowl sift together the sugar and cocoa. Pour the cheese mixture into the sugar and cocoa mixture and stir until completely mixed. The candy will be very stiff.

Using your hands, remove candy from bowl and press evenly and firmly into pan. Because of the amount of butter in this recipe, pat the top of the candy with a paper towel to remove the excess oil. Place pan in refrigerator until candy is firm.

To serve candy, cut into squares.

ENJOY!!!!

Christina's Ultimate Macaroni Salad:

Ingredients-Shell Pasta Noodles, Mayonaise, Mustard, Pickles, Onions,Ham, Cheese

--> Cook pasta in a pot for 15-20 minutes
--> Strain and cool pasta. Then, pour into a big bowl.
--> Pour about 1/2 a jar of Mayonaise into the bowl.
--> Pour about 1/2 a jar of Mustard into the bowl.
--> Stir the mixture
--> Chop up 1 onion (or put it in the food processor if you have sensitive eyes)
--> Chop up the pickles, ham, and cheese into very small pieces.
-->Add the onions, pickles, ham, and cheese into the bowl
-->Stir liberally
-->Chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes
-->Serve

Sep 05, 2007 | 2:26PM
A TRUE FRIEND IS ALWAYS THERE THROUGH TIMES OF TROUBLE

THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU KNOW MATTER WHAT

REMEMBERS TO CALL YOU AT LEAST ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK

UNTIL YOU ARE TOTALLY OKAY AFTER A SCARE, THEY WON'T LEAVE YOU

EVEN THOUGH THEY MAY HAVE PLANS, THE STILL MAKE TIME FOR YOU

FRIENDS LOOK UP TO AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER

REMEMBERS TO SEND YOU CHRISTMAS AND BIRTHDAY CARDS

INCREDIBLY SUPPORTIVE AT ALL TIMES

ENTERTAINING YOU EVERY DAY

NICE TO EVERYONE, EVEN WHEN THEY MAY BE FEELING DOWN THEMSELVES

DOES THEIR BEST TO SHOW YOU HOW MUCH THEY CARE ABOUT YOU

ALSO, THEY DON'T CARE WHETHER YOU'RE DIFFERENT FROM THEM

THEY ARE NICE TO EVERYONE IN YOUR FAMILY

RESPECTS YOU ALWAYS

USUALLY PUTS YOU BEFORE HERSELF

EVERY TIME YOU FALL, THEY PICK YOU UP

HAPPY THAT THEY'RE AROUND YOU

EVERY DAY THEY SEE YOU, THE FEEL HAPPY

RIGHT THERE BY YOUR SIDE

OVERJOYED TO SEE YOU

Things that make me go hmm.....
Jul 31, 2007 | 11:07AM
Why is there no other word for "thesaurus"?

Why in a country of free speech, are there phone bills?

When a man talks dirty to a woman, it's sexual harassment. When a woman talks dirty to a man, it's $3.95 a minute

Before they invented drawing boards, what did they go back to?

How is it possible to have a civil war?

If all the world is a stage, where is the audience sitting?

If God dropped acid, would he see people?

If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?

If one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the rest have to drown too?

If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?

Can atheists get insurance for acts of God?

If quitters never win, and winners never quit, what fool came up with, "Quit while you're ahead"?

What WAS the best thing before sliced bread?

So what's the speed of dark?

If you were going to shoot a mime, would you use a silencer?

Why are they called apartments, when they're all stuck together?

What would a chair look like if your knees bent the other way?

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to see it, do the other trees make fun of it?

Why are there five syllables in the word "monosyllabic"?

How come Superman could stop bullets with his chest, but always ducked when someone threw a gun at him?

Why is it, 'A penny for your thoughts,' but, you have to 'put your two cents' in? Somebody's making a penny.

If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she left me before we met.

99 percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name.

If you had a million Shakespeares, could they write like a monkey?

If a word in the dictionary was misspelled, how would we know?

If you throw a cat out a car window, does it become kitty litter?

Why do they put Braille on the number pads of drive-through bank machines?

Why do they call it a TV set when you only get one?

Some see the glass as half-empty, some see the glass as half-full. I see the glass as too big.

If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat?

What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?

If a book about failures doesn't sell, is it a success?

If procrastinators had a club would they ever have a meeting?

If practice makes perfect, and nobody's perfect... why practice?

Animal Communication: A Touching Story
Jun 06, 2007 | 7:13PM
As the elephant rumbles along in the ring
He tells me he understands everything
Everything I’m telling him to do
Everything I’m going through

As the dolphin splashes me
In the really warm water
He’s cooling me off
Before I get hotter
I play with the dolphin
With a man and his daughter
Where I suddenly meet a new friend, a smart otter

I point to a hula hoop
And whistle at my friend
He dives through the hoops
All the way to the end

As a whale approaches, the little girl becomes afraid
“Don’t worry” I tell her, “I’ll show you she’s tame”
So I jumped in the water, and played a little game
I stand on her back as she swims right along
I jump through the hoop, being very brave and strong

I see a horse galloping along on the beach
He looks lonely and shy, and I know exactly why
He needs a new friend, and that would be I.
I walk up to the horse and give him a hug.
He nudges me with his head
And whispers “Thank you so much”
Most people would think this is only a nudge
But I know it’s more than that, you be the judge.

I know many people think animals don't communicate, but they are wrong, animals always communicate, not just with each other, but with humans as well. I especially know this because I have been communicating with animals ever since the age of 2, and I am now 18!! I hope you all like my blog.

Love,
Christina

Life Saving Tips
Mar 30, 2007 | 3:19PM

For all you men and women in the States out there, especially those living in or near Louisiana, here are some very cruicial safety tips.  Please, Because of abductions occuring in daylight hours, everyone needs to pay attention to this and not ignore it!  Here are nine safety tips that you must follow in order to save your life:

1) The elbow is the strongest point on your body.  If you are close enough to use it, DO!

2) I learned this from a tourist guide New Orleans.  If a robber asks you for your wallet/purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM!! Toss it away from you....Chances are that he is more interested in your wallet/purse than you, and he'll go for the wallet/purse.  RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!!!

3) If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car, kick/punch out the back tail lights and stick your arm out of the hole and start waving like crazy.  The driver won't see you, but everybody else will.  This has saved lives.

4) Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list etc.).  DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT DO THIS!!! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go.  As soon as you get into your car, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE!!

4B) If someone is in the car with a gun to your head, DO NOT DRIVE OFF, I REPEAT, DO NOT DRIVE OFF! Instead, gun the engine and speed into anything, wrecking the car.  Your airbag with save you.  If the person is in the back seat, they will get the worst of it.  As soon as the car crashes, bail out and run.  It is better than having them find your body in a remote location.

5) A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:

A) Be aware: Look around you, look into your car, at the passenger side floor, and in the back seat.

B) If you are parked next to a big van, ENTER YOUR CAR FROM THE PASSENGER DOOR! Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.

C) Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and the passenger side.  If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest to your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you out.

IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY (and better paranoid than dead)

 6) If you live in, or are visiting someone, who lives in an apartment, ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs.  (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot.  This is especially true at night!!)

7) If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN!! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ.  RUN, Preferably in a zig-zag pattern!!

8) As women we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP! It may get you raped, or killed.  Ted Bundy, the Serial Killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women.  He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked "for help" into his vehicle, or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.

****** Here it is *******

9) Another safety point:

Someone just told me that her friend heard a crying baby on her porch the night before last, and she called the police because she thought it was wierd.  The police told her "Whatever you do, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR"

The lady then said that it sounded like the baby had crawled near a window, and she was worried that it would crawl to the street and get run over.  The policeman said "We already have a unit on the way, whatever you do, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR!"

He told her that they think a serial killer has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax women out of their homes, thinking that someone has dropped off a baby.

He said they have not verified it, but have had several 9-1-1 calls by women saying that they hear baby's cries outside their doors when they're home alone at night.

PLEASE PASS THIS ON AND DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR FOR A CRYING BABY---- THIS E-MAIL SHOULD PROBABLY BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY BECAUSE THE "CRYING BABY THEORY" WAS MENTIONED ON AMERICA'S MOST WANTED WHEN THEY PROFILED THE SERIAL KILLER IN LOUISIANA. I know this is a lot to take in, but it is better to be safe than sorry.  Please forward this to everyone you care about!!

Every Second Counts
Mar 10, 2007 | 9:40AM

None of you may realize it, but every second you spend with somebody you love or care about counts.  Here is an example:

A young boy is very excited.  He is waiting for his dad to come home, because he never spends much time with his son.  As soon as the dad walks in the door, the young boy grabs his hand and takes him into his room, where his piggy bank is.  "Daddy" The young boy said "How much do you make an hour?" .  With a surprised look on his face, the dad replied "$12.00 is what I make son, why do you want to know?".  The young boy got his piggy bank, took out $12.00, handed it to his father and said "Here, Dad, I just bought an hour of your time"
