the legend of the mystery boat
Nov 05, 2005 | 12:18AM

Well, here I am again making an entry in my blog.  I am doing this one for shotsie.  We were talking in chat tonight and I mentioned a legend that I grew up believing, while growing up in  Freeport,  Texas (close to Galveston and Houston).  I lived there till I was 15 years old.  We used to love to tell people the story.  WARNING!!  If you get scared easily do not continue reading!!  Here it goes:

There is this boat called the (you guessed it) Mystery boat.  The story goes that it went out with a group of people that wanted to go out deep sea fishing.  The boat did not come back in time, so there was a search party sent out.  The boat was found a couple of days later on the shore empty and covered in seaweed and blood.  The people were never seen again.  The boat owner did not let this worry him too much.  He cleaned up the boat and again sent it out with more people.  These people knew about the last trip, but wanted an adventure.  One of my moms friends had a son go out on it.  This time though the boat was sent out surrouned by coast gaurd ships on all sides.  All of a sudden a thick fog rolled in and none of the ships could see each other.  The coast gaurd ships radioed each other and decided to close in on the Mystery boat.  When they closed in, they ended up touching their ships to each other.  The Mystery ship was gone.  They searched all night and did not find it.  The boat was found a few days later in the same place as before empty and covered with seaweed and blood.   The boat was not sent out again.  It now sits on land in the main park of the city.   Only the locals tell the story, though.

Well, this is it for now.  Bye all.  oxoxoxoxo

my so-called life
Oct 19, 2005 | 9:02AM

Well, let me start by introducing myself.  My name is Edith, and I am 33 years old.  I have never been married and have no children.  I guess i have just been too busy with work and all.  I am currently employed at an insurance agency as a secretary.  I have also been doing income tax preperation for 10 years (so, yeah, I can do almost everything).  I live at home with my dad and my brother.  I have moved out a couple of times, but it has not worked out for one thing or another.  I own a Dodge Caravan 1995.  I am currently attending VICC (Valley International Christian Center).  I also help my best friend Rose with her ministry.  I have been helping for 10 years now, which is how long she has been a soloist.  She is a Gospel Singer.  I am also teaching Missionettes, which a Christian version of the Girl Scouts.  I teach the little ones ages 3 to 4.  They are a handful sometimes, but they are so loveable and show me a lot of affection.  I do plan to marry someday and have kids of my own.  When I do that, I also plan to adopt.  That is something that has been dear to my heart for a long time.  I know there is a child out there that needs me in his or her life. Smiley

Well, that is all for now.  I will write more later.  Let me end this with a joke my dad told me:

One day as were leaving our ranch, my dad looked across the street and turned to me and said, "Mija, it looks like it is going to rain."  I asked him how he knew that.  He told me that the cows were sitting together in a group.  I turned to the pasture and said, "Dad, but they are not all together."  He looked at them and pondered this a while then he turned to me and said, "Scattered Showers."  Smiley

Bye all, have a good one.  Smiley
