So far I have enjoyed my summer vacation.  Got lots of housework completed and have gotten to play lots of grab games, esp maj solitaire.  I have got to put more time into studying for my test next Saturday.  well...will get to that maybe later tonight.....

I have so enjoyed my little vegetable garden to this point.  I have been able to provide my  family with fresh veggies and many of my neighbors and extended family as well.  I  have planted 6 squash plants and have eaten squah in casseroles, baked and rolled in corn meal and fried.  My neighbors, mother and mother-in-law have received several squash from me this growing season.  Also, cucumbers galore!  As with squah, Iwe have eated cucumbers daily along with my neighbors and family. 

My jalepno peppers are so hot, that they actually burn your hands when you pick them.  But boy, are they good. 

My tomatoes are beginning to ripen and my beans are looking strong.  I have 7 canteloupes and 4 watermelons also growing.  My corn is just in the process...

A garden is a beautiful way to eat healthy and provide some good exercise outdoors.  It is also relaxing.

I just thank God,, I had the oppurtunity to hear John Lennon, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson,   i lived through the best...Music changes but they made me change as well....

Well, ended summer camp by taking everyone to the pool.  Since it was overcast, we were mostly the only ones there..woohoo!.. During summer camp 2 girls learned to swim and were diving off the board....(that s always good)  And lil "Doug" 5 years old was diving with arm floaties although the lifeguards kinda loved him (he has that personality) and were there to take care of him  if he panicked.  The upcoming 4th graders learned 6-11's multiplication tables through songs.  They even wanted to take practice sheets home to practice while we wait for school to begin in the fall.  That is always great when kids want to do math.

 

All in all a great summer camp...  Now time to clean this nasty house lol... those floor corners are getting it first then the closets.  Well, that is if I can get off the grab games......Coz I'm HOOKED!

Went to see the Wizard of Ox play yesterday.  The very best I have ever seen!.. It was long, but well worth it Yay!!!!

Well here it is 11:35.. I must be at work at 7:10... no sleep.. not tired.. must be age.. tomorrow will be a killer day... I know it.. took a sleeping pill two hours ago.. still no sleep...wish me zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's

Um as most of you know I am a math teacher... With the upcoming tests, I am very stressed... did some things this weekend I wasn't proud of..like being in a foggy mind,(on Friday),, but sometimes.. that is what helps one out... I am thinking clearer for the upcoming week.. thinking positive.. think we will succeed!,  thinking  my kids will conquer!.. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so disappointed in MY score.. I feel as if I let my team mates down.. But I played and played and played for practice.   if there is a hint my teammates can give me, please do,  it would be very much appreciated.. I will do my best to do better next round.. :)  think positive!!!!! Yeah go team!!

Have you shown kindness to another today?

 

I have shown kindness today.  By best friend and co-worker who is an English teacher was having computer problems today and could not retrieve his benchmark test scores, so I offered to run them off for him if he would share his name and password.  He gave them to me and during my planning today, I printed all 357 copies.  He was glad to get the physical evidence in his hands where he could study the outcome of the test results.

Geez i didn't realize it had been so long since I posted... btw any Charlie fans, he is still around, healthy and a daddy....(twice over)... Now I have Missy, Charlie, Flash, Mutley, Rocky, Calico, Black Dog, and Bart (all but two have been strays someone has just dropped off to die and I found them.) what a shame.. whoever let the Mutley off missed a darn great dog,,, when I found her she was less than 6 weeks old with no hair at all because of the mange.  I fed her, took her to the vet, got the mange cleared up had her fixed and she is the most beautiful dog in the world (black chow..fullblooded), and very protective of her owners.    As how I got Rocky, his owners decided to move and not take him.. shame shame shame.. he can catch and retrieve anything.. He loves a tennis ball.  I don't have to subscribe to the morning paper.. because someone who does, never gets theirs.. Rocky retrieves it and its always on my porch (lol) Missy was hit by a car, we patched her up for weeks, now she dances at the sight of her owners... Flash.. well Flash is just Flash...just one big beautiful dog, Cali.. I still dont know where he came from.. he is so ugly he is cute.. he is the one who found Missy and was taking her FOOD!..  WEll enough about my dogs.. my 2 cats are still doing well..  Let me hear from you animal lovers.... every pet I own but 2 have been saved from the pound!!!
