"Jewelcrafting
May 22, 2008 | 1:43AM

"Jewelcrafters can create beautiful jewelry and trinkets from metals and rare gems. They can extract gems from various raw ore mined from deposits and mineral veins. The prospect ability that allows you to do so is trained when you have at least 20 skill. Those gems can be used in two ways: To make trinkets (gemmed figurines) and other items which provide their wearer with passive benefits or even short buffs to help in different situations. They can be cut in pieces for use in item socketing. If you are interested in learing more about this or want to try the Socketing Items demo, head to the official site right away and check it out. Socketed Items* At higher levels, socketed items and specially cut gems become highly important. Various socketed items, including armor and weapons, can be found in dungeons, but the expansion also introduces many new recipes for all the professions. These recipes allow leatherworkers, blacksmiths and tailors to create socketed items. Socketed items can be of uncommon, rare or even epic quality. Each of an item's sockets can also have a specific color. You can put a gem into a socket and match that gem's color to the socket's color. If you use such color-matched gems in all of an item's sockets, the item acquires a special stat bonus beyond the individual gems' effects. However, you can also put gems of a different color in these sockets if you prefer a specific gem effect instead of the color-matching bonus. Any character can insert gems into an item's sockets: you do not need to be a jewelcrafter to do so. However, you will need to ask a jewelcrafter, or become one yourself, to obtain most of the gems you can socket. Several of the expansion's high-level bosses may also be a source of cut gems.

There are rumors that these bosses hold stones with fantastic, untold powers. new races The Blood Elves are all that remains of High Elves who managed to survive the destruction of Quel'Thalas by the Scourge. wow gold They were at first loyal to the forces of Lordaeron but as it later came to be they were no longer welcome in the Alliance. The Bloodelves are highly experiences magic-wielders but they became addicted to their powers and they can no longer live without using magic and would do anything in its name. Click here to read the lore related to this race! Starting Zone: Sunstrider Isle in Quel'Thalas. wow gold Available Classes: Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Mage, Warlock Racial Abilities: Mana Tap (drains mana), Arcane Torrent (silences the enemy for 2 seconds) " "Agility Points to agility increase your attack power with ranged weapons, your chance to get a critical strike, chance to dodge, as well as increasing your armor. Rogues gain a larger chance to dodge bonus from Agility. Both rogues and hunters increase their damage with melee weapons in part from Agility as well. wow Armor Armor (AC) reduces the physical damage dealt to you. It does not dampen the effects of elemental spells. Attack Power Increases your base DPS by 1 for every 14 points. wow gold Strength adds 2 points of Attack Power. For rogues and hunters, Agility adds 1 point Attack Power and Strength adds one point Attack Power Feral druids get 2 attack power per on strength point and 1 attack power per one agility point. Defense Increases the chances of an enemy missing the attack, or the player parrying, blocking or dodging the attack. mp3 player Also decreases the chance of being hit with a critical strike or being struck by a 'crushing blow' from an enemy creature.
Intellect Intellect increases the rate at which proficiency for weapons is learned, and for spell casters increases their mana pool as well as raising their chance to get a critical strike with a spell.wow gold Spirit One of the most underrated abilities, spirit determines your Mana and Health regeneration rates. "Alterac Valley
May 22, 2008 | 1:42AM

"Related Alliance-friendly faction: The Stormpike Guard Related Horde-friendly faction: The Frostwolf Clan High in the hills of Hillsbrad lies Alterac valley, the first battleground. The object of this 40v40 battleground is to capture enemy territory and eventually to kill their racial leader. Stealing their graveyards will allow your units to spawn closer to battle, and destroying their armories and buildings will result in less support. Many sidequests and results from raiding include gaining special elite summons and more NPCs which you can turn in the various scraps and pieces found off dead enemy players. Capturing a graveyard or destroying a territory isn't easy, many opposing npc enemies will be there to protect it. Some graveyards can be cleverly captured by having a team mate lure the guards away, perhaps 'kiting' them, while you steal the flag located at that position. Such an action requires uninterruption, and afterwards you will need to maintain a presense for your faction to claim it. An easy method of gaining reputation in this battleground is looting an enemy player to recover some racial loot that they carry, which you can then turn in to you main town's NPCs. Your main town will also carry many other quests which you can do while fighting your enemies. Teamwork is a large part of Alterac Valley; the sheer magnitude of the opposing factions makes it easy to think that your part is relatively small, when in fact it is as large as everyone else's. It only takes one person to leak through to destroy a building or steal a graveyard. Often guilds will join as a pre-formed raid group, ensuring teamwork. This method usually works better. Arathi Basin Related Alliance-friendly faction: The Leagues of Arathor Related Horde-friendly faction: The Defilers The hills of the Arathi Highlands are home to Arathi Basin, a king-of-the-hill style battleground in which players must work together to capture, claim, and hold certain areas on the map.

wow gold Your raid group of 15 squares off against the opposing faction to hold as many points as it can for the longest, by any means necessary. If the opposing faction owns a 'site' you must claim the flag at that site and hoping that you aren't interrupted. The flag would then change to neutral, during which time you must keep a presence in the area. wow gold If left unchallenged, your faction will claim it. Teamplay is important as defending and holding a site works better with a larger number of people. Quests for this instance also include finding abandonned supply crates. cheap wow gold " "Additional Info In order to experience the new features of the expansion you will have to purchase it. Blizzard announced that they will be releasing a major patch prior to the release of the expansion which will enable all the new items and race models but you will only be able to see them which means you won't be able to create a character from one of the two new races (Draenei and Bloos Elves) if you don't have the expansion installed. New dungeons will have scalable difficulty levels. wow gold This is the so-called ""Heroic Mode"". To access a dungeon using that mode you will need to become revered with the faction related to it and purchase a key which will enable you to change the difficulty. Blizzard is considering adding this feature to currently existing dungeons but has no plans to implement them yet. mp3 players The level cap has been increased to 70 and new talents have been added to the talent trees of each class, you will also be able to acquire new spells through trainers as you level up above lv 60. Unlike before new spells will be available after each level you gain and not every 2 levels the way it is before 60.
There are new lands to explore, new instances and a new battleground (Eye of the Storm). wow gold System Requirements OS:

"Onyxia Key Quest Walkthrough for Alliance
May 22, 2008 | 1:40AM

"The dragon Onyxia is the boss of a 40-man end-game raid in World of Warcraft. To enter her lair everyone in the raid needs a Drakefire Amulet, often called an ""Onyxia key."" Obtaining a Drakefire Amulet involves completing one of the longest quest chains in the game. It differs depending on whether your character is Alliance or Horde. These are the steps required for Alliance players. 1. Dragonkin Menace Talk to Helendis Riverthorn at Morgan's Vigil in Burning Steppes to get the first quest in the chain. Dragonkin Menace is for characters of level 54 or higher, and sends you off to slay 15 Black Broodlings, 10 Black Dragonspawn, 4 Black Wyrmkin and 1 Black Drake. These can be found in camps around the zone. You may need some help with the Wyrmkin and Drake which are elite. Return to Morgan's Vigil when you're finished. 2. The True Masters Helendis will send you off on a series of deliveries, beginning with a letter that must go to Magistrate Solomon in the Town Hall of Lakeshire in Redridge Mountains. Solomon will ask you to speak with Highlord Bolvar Fordragon in Stormwind, who is in the center room of Stormwind Keep. After chatting with Bolvar and Lady Katrana Prestor in Stormwind, you must return to Solomon in Lakeshire, then back to Morgan's Vigil in Burning Steppes to talk to Marshal Maxwell. Maxwell will ask you to find Ragged John, who is at the Flame Crest cave almost directly north of Morgan's Vigil, and report on Marshal Windsor's whereabouts. 3. Marshal Windsor (BRD) Upon hearing that Marshal Windsor is still alive, Marshal Maxwell sends you into Blackrock Depths to find him. Windsor is in a locked cell not far from the entrance to the instance. The key to the cell drops off of High Interrogator Gerstahn who can be found a little further.

Alternatively, a rogue with sufficient lockpick skill can open the cell. 4. Abandoned Hope Marshal Windsor has bad news for you to take back to Marshal Maxwell in Burning Steppes. 5. A Crumpled Up Note (BRD) Marshal Maxwell doesn't give you any indication what to do next, but the quest chain does continue. wow gold ""A Crumpled Up Note"" is given as a random drop in Blackrock Depths, and instructs you to deliver the note to Marshal Windsor in his cell. This can be done in a 10-man raid and everyone who needs the quest can pick up the note. 6. wow gold A Shred of Hope (BRD) Windsor wants you to retrieve his lost information from General Angerforge and Golem Lord Argelmach, each of which drops an item required for this quest. This has to be done in a 5-man group, and it's a good idea to clear the Manufactory area of BRD first as the Golem Lord will call in help from there if the mobs are still alive. Take the two pieces of information back to Marshal Windsor. buy wow gold 7. Jail Break! (BRD) At this point you will have to escort Marshal Windsor to his equipment in the supply room and to free his friends in other cells. He's a good fighter once he has his gear, but the best approach is to clear the entire jail area beforehand. wow gold When this is done it's back to Marshal Maxwell in Burning Steppes. 8. Stormwind Rendevous Maxwell tells you to meet Marshal Windsor at the gates of Stormwind. mp3 players Travel to the gate a wait just inside them for a minute and Windsor will appear. " "As of patch 2.0.1 the PvP System has been revamped and the info bellow does not apply to it. It will be kept for archieving purposes.
wow gold The PVP system was introduced by Blizzard as a means for casual gamers to achieve Rare and Epic items without having to participate in time intensive High End Instances which require large raids of 20 or 40 players.

WoW and the Future of PC Gaming
May 22, 2008 | 1:38AM

"If you've been following PC game sales for the last couple years, you've probably noticed that World of Warcraft hasn't had a tremendous amount of competition since its release. Other games have still been successful, and have even outsold it for brief periods of time, but WoW has been selling as consistently as The Sims, which is pretty much unheard of for a massively multiplayer game. The game has been such a hit, in fact, that some people feel it's having a negative impact on the PC game industry as a whole. Their reasoning is that, instead of purchasing several games a year like they used to, many gamers are now too wrapped up in WoW to relinquish time and money to other titles, single-player or otherwise. It goes without saying that a successful product will always hurt its competitors, but could it be that WoW's popularity will result in lower PC game sales overall. When One Game is Enough It's not unusual to find MMORPG fans that dedicate all of their game time to a single title. I first noticed this phenomenon with EverQuest, and still have friends that have been playing it for 4 or 5 years to the exclusion of almost everything else. Some of these people used to buy games on regular basis, but now they rarely spend on anything but monthly fees and expansion packs. In fact, even getting them to try a different game is like pulling teeth, because they're so attached to their EQ characters that they can't let go. Another aspect of this is that, no matter how hard-core you are, there is a limit to how much time anyone can spend playing games. Given that making progress in MMORPGs has customarily been quite slow, not many people play more than one at a time, and still fewer play more than two on a regular basis.

And if playing a MMORPG keeps you from buying a lot of games, it starts to make economic sense as well. It seems to me that MMORPGs do fundamentally shift the way people consume games. " "The Power of Community MMORPGs owe a great deal to the online communities they create, and the larger that community gets, the more appealing the product becomes. wow gold At a certain point MMORPGs take on a momentum of their own, simply because everyone wants to play the game that everyone is playing. As a result, some games enjoy long periods of market dominance, especially in North America and Europe. Is there still a place for single-player games. wow gold I can't imagine that there won't always be titles which cater to those that play games to get away from other people, but I do expect their numbers to dwindle in upcoming years. No doubt, you won't find most MMORPGs very compelling if you play them like single-player games, wow gold because they don't really shine until you're part of a guild that is doing large-scale raids or PvP campaigns. However, once people start playing online and sharing their experiences with other gamers, many find that there's just no going back. world of warcraft gold When Oblivion came out, I recall my WoW guild discussing it, and I was surprised to hear many of them remark that single-player games feel ""empty"" and ""dead"" to them now compared to MMORPGs. The Next Big Game With the exception of Spore, I don't see anything on the PC game horizon that has much chance of exceeding its popularity. Nevertheless, WoW won't be on top of the heap forever, even if its rein continues for a couple more years. wow gold As for stifling innovation, it's worth noting that WoW didn't get where it is by innovating as much as it did by taking proven concepts and improving on them.
Blizzard has so far made remarkably accurate assessments about what makes a game fun, and few would dispute that they deserve the success they've had. They've also proven that an enormous development budget and attention to detail can pay off in the end, which may impact the way other companies make games. mp3 player While some will choose not to compete, others could well push to be more innovative in response. Inevitably, WoW will succumb to an even bigger hit, and I'd bet my shorts that when it finally happens, it'll be a cross-platform game almost as much like WoW as WoW is like EverQuest, with prettier graphics, of course. " .
